I agree with most of this except you baby Milano because of what he can do later this year and playoffs. Not saying they will resign him or not, but he might be the best LB on the team. Edmunds has more upside and is getting there. Edmunds in the red makes me think he is going to play and needs to learn assignments. Docs probably give him a shot before the game for pain, if it’s something he can’t hurt more.

This. Allen is showing he can and is developing into who Beane knew he could be when Beane picked him. In year 3 with the same system and added talent at the skill positions Allen is becoming his best self as a QB. Allen has put in a ton of work and is seeing it payoff, that will only provide motivation for this young man to keep pushing. There is nothing Allen can’t do because he will work to overcome whatever challenges face him.

Yep, but you know why that is. The Bills haven’t been good for a long time, so some people think anything they do will not work out. It’s easy to say that. It neglects to consider everything we know about Beane and McDermott over the past 3+ years and what they have been building. Give it a few good wins over the Rams and Chiefs and everyone will want to join the Wagon. Diggs is amazing, Maybe it was the white gloves he had on Sunday, but his hands are huge. It’s no wonder he can make the plays he can.

Well either way it’s just a joke of a publication. It’s what I see a lot of these days. People who never played the game and have very little understanding of it are now experts due to analyzing it. It’s a joke. Numbers tell part of a story and must be looked at in conjunction with other factors.

If I had to guess Josh was probably giving condolences to Fitz in person on the passing of his mother. Fitz and Josh are classy guys, I’m sure the two have spoke before.

I hear what you are saying OP. I don’t think you are wrong about certain mental aspects of NE for Buffalo and this coaching staff. I do like our chances with Cam playing QB. On many levels our staff knows Cam inside and out. I like their chances of confusing him. I also think Cam isn’t where he once was physically, and I am not sure he will ever get back there.

What way was he rolling out? I started noticing last year that Allen seems to roll right more naturally. Rolling left and throwing seems to be his only area so far that’s still a work in progress. Don’t get me wrong, I will take it! He has come so far and I think he will keep getting better.

That’s just amazing on a couple of levels. I can’t tell who that is doing the deep crossing pattern, but the safety was stuck. I’m sure the safety should of stayed with Brown and not been beaten deep. The long cross to Beasley earlier in the game was probably stuck in that safeties mind. The safety hesitates and that was all it took. Great play calling, and execution.

Yep. I believe he is also one of 4 players to throw over 700 yards and no picks in the first two games. The other three aren’t bad company to be with: Manning from 2013 Brady from 2015 Mahomes from 2019.

I agree, yesterday was more on the players execution. I also agree it does go back to last year. Knee jerk is ‘ McDermott is trying to run out the clock in the third quarter’. I don’t think that’s the case. I wonder what is the issue?

I will admit I was one of the people who stereotyped him as the defensive minded coach doing the ‘don’t lose instead of trying to win’. It does appear coach knew limitations of his offense and was trying to balance them. The only issue I have, and i will admit it’s nitpicking after two great offensive performances, is the way the team comes out after halftime. I don’t think it’s a play calling or an execution, it’s a combo of both. Love to see some play call percentages and also yards gained in third quarter vs the other quarters. Maybe it’s perception being wrong on my part.

I have spoken to a scout who was in the room when Polian was GM of Indy and took Manning. Polian swears it was never a question, they were taking Manning over Leaf. That’s not at all what this scout told me. The room was divided big time right up till the draft.

You might be onto something. I was thinking maybe a 5-1-5, with an extra safety. I think Sean and Leslie will mix it up a ton. They aren’t going to confuse Fitz, just can’t let him get comfortable. Chan’s offense is short timing passes. Need to press receivers at line and throw them off their routes.

This game has gotten slightly more interesting for me, if that is the right word. Before Milano and Edmunds went down I was looking at this as no win situation. The Bills should beat Miami and beat them pretty soundly, in similar fashion to last week with the Jets. This sort of ‘handicapping’ (to use a golf term), makes the game more even. As other have pointed out with Covid, we could see something similar to another position group. Fitz will take advantage of Milano and Edmunds being out. We just need Fitz to be Fitz a play or two. This is what ultimately did the Fish in last year at Buffalo when Milano was out. Hopeful for a Bills win, still expecting it, but It will be a close game.
