  1. Maybin will get 6 sacks. Most will come at the begining of the year. Mid to late season is tough on rookie Dlineman. I like his chances, he is quick as hell, should have a healthy Schobel playing on opposite side from him. Stroud will provide some interior pocket collapsing. Schobel will command more attention early on, till Maybin makes some sacks. The secondary should be good enough for a couple coverage sacks.
  2. Barber in Tampa was a lock down guy. McKelvin progressed as the year went along for sure. The staff does not like to throw a rookie to the dogs, unless it really has too. If he continues to grow this year, we could have one of the best DB tandems in the league, but unless the big boys upfront get more pressur eon the qb it wont matter. No cb can cover a wr for 4-6 seconds consistently.
  3. Have to hope Maybin and Schobel can get pressure off the edge. The Patsies running game does not scare me. Have to check Welker at the line and Also play man to man on Moss with help from the saftey. N.E d does not scare me either. I personally think the talent will not be able to execute for Bellicheck. N.E fall from grace begins big time this year. They have had a 10 year run at it. But i think we start to see it fade. And there will be no excuses. Brady will be there, but the talent around him will not be.
  4. Any guy that catches 61 balls for over 1000yds and 13 tds in the SEC deserves a shot in the NFL. The knock on Steve was that he only had one big year, plus he did not have great combine speed numbers. Otherwise he would have been a second round pick by Oakland in 2008. Seems like a very down to earth kid and wants to succeed. I think lik emany do here, if given a shot he could have 30-40 receptions this year. I dont see him every being a elite wr, but definetly the potential to be the 2-3 guy for years.
  5. Maybe the Bills never intended to move Whitner. They only said that to throw people off. Then went out and got arguably one of the best safeties in the draft???? Just a thought. haveing said that i think Byrd makes the most noticable impact this season. Due to position and need. The oline guys will do good, but will have ups and down. This will be masked some by playing at gaurds. Maybin will start out strong but probably fade a little towards the end of the year, due to the 16 game schedule and playing DE in the pros going against 350lb tackles that are almost as fast as you will wear him down a little. I dont expect too much out of Nelson, while he will probably provide us with some nice catches, he needs to learn how to block better, till he does that he is a liability as an every down TE. Whatever you get from Harris on back is hit or miss. Mostly STs this year and some spot duty if injuries hit.
  6. I will take 70 and overcast over 30 and sunny anyday my friend.
  7. Yeah Gary Condit was the only person in the U.S that was probably grateful on some level of 9/11. Took him right out of the picture. Kind of like that Governor from S.C couple weeks ago. Micheal Jackson dies and he slowly fades away. I swear sometimes i do think we as a society have our priorities so misplaced. McNair is dead, and so is a young girl(20). For whatever reason it is tragic.
  8. Very true. Its like those commercials about 'the most intersting man in the world'. "He never starts a sentense by makeing a remark about the weather".
  9. And had one of the greatest comebacks in college history to while at Maryland vs Miami. He came off the bench while at Maryland to help his team rally from 31 points behind in 1984. He backed up Boomer in college. Kind of funny. You know who was Kellys back up at Miami-Mark Richt (head coach for UGA).
  10. Is that true '5x higher' thing? Would you not have to set some type of 'base' level for each individual? Does your testosterone level fluctuate that much? Just questions i have. Maybe someone on here is a Medical Dr and can help out with that. Yeah what am i thinking nobody on here is smart enough to be a Dr(me included).
  11. Drizz, nice work man. Its info like this that reminds me why i come onto TBD. Every once and awhile you get some good info. Haveing said that it does not sound to me like he is what the Bills are looking for really. He was replaced half way through the season last year by the guy he beat out after preason, because he could not cover TEs. He also has struggled at pass rushing, recording zero sacks the last two seasons, since he was moved to OLB from DE. But he is a 'high motor' white guy. Would look great lined up behind Denney or Kelsay.
  12. 8. What do you think he has in his freezer?
  13. The Texans took the Bills to the wire in Buffalo two years ago. Now i know Buffalo has improved a lot since then(atleast i hope so) but so has the Texans. They are by no means a lock for anyone this year. Also Atlanta in Atlanta at the end of the year is going to be a fight. Atlanta will probably be fighting it out with New Orleans for the division. So that game will be hard as hell. I like you optimism. And you atleat provide thought and reason. And at this point it is all speculation. But to me the team that drops way off this year is the Tennesse Titans. I like 9-7 for this team maybe 10-6. Hell i would take 8-8 as long as it is meaningfull football in January.
  14. Yeah i thought the same thing. Only thing i can think is his agent was trying to keep an injury quiet so teams would not think he was damaged goods. I watched a lot of Tech games this year. He did not really stand out all the much to me. Wish him well but he has a lot to prove. Maybe getting picke din the second will motivate him.
  15. We shall wait and see. At this point it is all speculation. But some guy saying a DL looks good in shorts at practice is just silly. If i remember right the Panthers also got the LB last year that dropped from PSU. How did he do last year????
  16. The first weekend in September should kick off the season. I know it is a holiday weekend, but lots of people have off on Monday so more could go to the game from out of town. And seriously how many you guys would not go to the game? You are gonna tell me you would rather be at the lake or a bbq? Hell have the game on. Should keep the Bye week. Just go one extra week at the end. You would have the Super Bowl the second week in February. Or you could cut it down to one week between the Confrence championship game and the Super Bowl. Thats how it was for the Bills in 90.
  17. HAHA. wow. ok. i give. But i must say you and i really dont have a dog in the fight at the end of the day. If the family is ok with the punishment, then why shouild you not be? I mean really? Save all the legal mumbo jumbo crap and talk like a human being. Is it because you are afraid you are going to be on the streets of Miami heading home from work at 7 am. and get hit by Stallworth?
  18. I think every fan would like to see an 18 game regular season with maybe a 2 game preseason. This would allow rookies and journeymen to see time in two full preseason games. Starters would see very limited time in the preseason. But the NFL will have to expand the roster. I believe right now you can have 45 on the side line on game day. And have 53 men on the roster. You would probably need to expand that out to maybe 53 on the sideline and 65 on the team. The other 12 can be practice players and guys that could be used depending on opponent/injuries. You would have to add atleast one more round to the draft. Also could use the UFL as a farm type system. Put the UFL teams in smaller markets. Let them play in college stadiums of division 2 and three teams. What you guys think? Like the idea of an 18 game regular season?
  19. Yeah, but i bet if all of you recieved a couple million each, then you would be much happier and more content with the situation.
  20. Seriously ? So who exactly do you think is/ was the safety for Buffalo. Sorry bud but if you think Scott was the answer then there is a reason you do what you do for a living and the scouts and FO does what it does.
  21. The Judge in the case stated that Stallworth had never committed a serious crime before. The man was not in a crosswalk when he was struck. And Stallworth co operated 100% with the authorties. The second part about why he got off so lightly is that he settled a civil suit with the family already. Terms were not disclosed to my knowledge, but the family told the judge they did not want to prosecute much further. So yes haveing money did help him out. But if the victims family is ok with it then you should be too.
  22. Seen it many times fellas. Still remember going to the movies to see it. So no i am not that young. And no not that old either. But hands down Wedding Crashers and Old School kick its but. But so does Animal House. Revenge of the Nerds was a funny film. Probably one of the funniest of the 80s. But that is not saying all that much.
  23. I think Ryan should have another great season. Honestly Roddy White is a true number one guy. He finally had a real qb throwing to him and he flourished. Harry Douglas is a faster version of Wess Welker. Turner is a beast and Norwood is a great 3rd down/change of pace back. Only thing Ryan was missing was a legitimate pass catching TE. Dimitrof took care of that (and gave up little in return) I like what they did on D for the draft. As long as the Falcons keep Vangorder they will be ok. Never seen a guy do more with less then he did last year.
  24. Ah i hit a nerve. It was just some witty banter like your little qoute. Sorry to offend. And no i am 9 y/o. Thank You
  25. Yeah because you aren't getting any.
