  1. I know Freddy is doing a great job, but there has been a few times where if Lynch had been in there and hit the hole the way he does, the run would have gone for big yards, heck maybe long T.Ds. I for one can't wait to have a one two punch of Lynch and Jackson. The interior Oline is blocking its butt off, Jackson is doing good, but Lynch will really benefit from their blocking.
  2. Trent showed once again yesterday he can throw a very nice long ball. Where are all the 'noodle arm' comments? never did understand that. It seems like he is trying to prove something to someone in taking those hits on scrambles. Dont know to who or what, but we need him for 14 more games atleast.
  3. For once it seemed like the Bills D had a plan, and it worked. Semmed to me like Fewell said if we are going to loose to Tampa Bay it will be because Leftwich will beat us. The Bills shut down Williams and the rest of Tampas run game. 19 carries for 57 yards total for the team. Leftwich had good yardage and 3 t.ds but he also threw two ints, one for a t.d the other way. There is a reason Leftwich is with his fourth team in 3 years, and Fewell realizing it and haveing an awesome game plan was great to see. Now i have no idea what you do against N.O., but hey that is for Fewell to figure out.
  4. If the bills are flat then Jauron should be fired right there at half time. I mean it is a 4pm kickoff. You will have rowdy fans screaming their well soaked heads off. Home opener. Come on. T.Os first game in the Blo. Atmosphere will be electric i bet. Leftwich needs to be hit early and often. You can get in his head. The Bills need to win this game by 10+ points. Then last Monday night does not look like a fluke, but maybe the Bills are developing into a contender. The Bucs have a horrible secondary. If the Bills dont send Evans deep and T.O on long 15 post patterns, the Van Pelt is a moron.
  5. I love the signing. Watching him on Monday night i said 'we got to lock him up'. With McKelvin and McGee as the corners for awhile. Byrd hopefully at a safety. The only wildcard is Whitner. I am not sure what the Bills are going to do with him yet. But finally the FO shows soem foresight. McGee is definetly the better of the two corners between he and Greer. The price was a fair price too. Now sign Seymour in the offseason and reunite him with Stroud. I use to love watching those two guys play together at UGA. Then with a formidable front line and some good DBs, this defense would be tough.
  6. It is as simple as that. Until Buffalo believes it can and should win games like last night, they wont. We are past moral victories. Those were in 2007, when the Bills had half the starting defense injured, and qb problems. I actually liked seeing Edwards pissed off last night in his press confrence. That is a little T.O rubbing off i think. Enough with the 'we played a good team tonight, and hung in there with them' crap that we have had to listen to for the last 3 years. I want to hear, we should have won that game, we need to figure out what happened and how to improve so we dont lose. And it wasn't just McKelvins fumble. There were other things in the last 5 mins. I am sick and tired, as we all are of watching the bills lose like they did last night. And i am sorry N.E is a very beatable team. Brady is still Brady, but that D is terrible and their Oline is not what it was. Pressure him and you got a shot. For once i really do believe the Bills have a chance in the Division. The Oline showed some promise. They are young, but if they develope you have the makeings of something special. I hope by the years end, we are watching a Bills team that once up by 11 in the fourth goes for the Juggular, blitzes the hell out of the other team, because you know they are in an obvious passing situation. And then wins by 18, not lose by 1. Go Bills and please be winners!!!
  7. Awesome
  8. Tebow is probably the greatest college player ever. If he wins the Heisman this year, i am not sure anyone could argue it. If they win the NC and he wins the Heisman, then you are just a fool to argue it. As a guy who live sin the south and routes for UGA(thats the Bulldogs) i have gone back and forth on Tebow as a pro. In the end i think in the right situation he can succeed. He is built like a middle LB, tough as hell, a great leader, and probably one of the best athletes on the field. His knock is that he is in the spread offense. A 'system' offense. He has worked with a coach all summer to get a better throwing style and has a strong arm. We shall see. If he was there late in round two or three i would grab him in a second.
  9. Simpson has to go. I have watched him play some and he seems very tennative this preseason. Ellsion is not going anywhere. Staff like show he is playing 'fighting for his job'.
  10. Anyone else see the Hard Knocks episode where they made fun of him in the rookie skit. Funny as hell. Andre Smith has not endeared himself to his teammates or fans. The broken foot is just bad luck.
  11. If Bell can play LT, and that is a big if. I am not saying he can't, but have not seen enough out of him yet. But then your starting line is LT -BELL LG-WOOD C-Hangartner RG-Butler RT- Walker Levitre is first off the bench for anyone getting hurt interior wise. With Wood sliding into the center if Hangartner gets hurt. Longterm your line is(when i say longterm i mean for 2010 and 2011). LT-Bell LG- Levitre C-Woods RG-Butler RT-Walker This would help you have a good young left side of the oline for years. If Butler can stay healthy he is solid and so is Walker.
  12. He Man. I mean come on, he did play the Villain
  13. It is a gimmick i am sorry. And you do not build longterm success on gimmicks. Lets see how Miami does this year. Defensive cords are to smart and players are to fast, it wont work long term. And as far as the whole wearing down the other teams D, you also wear down your Oline a lot faster and potential can wear down your own D. I do not mind it sprinkled in here or there. Maybe as a change of pace when things have not been working in a conventional set. Or in a 'go for the jugguler' form(used a lot during Kellys days). But all the time, no way. I also dont think Dickie and th eboys are tipping their hand like this. I am not surprised if in the NE game we see way more huddle then no huddle.
  14. How funny is it going to be when the Bills dont run the no huddle this season? I just dont see them doing it all the time in every game. We shall see. If they do then we are truly the most gimmicky lowest of the low. And whatever we accomplish wont be worth anything longterm, like Miami succes with the 'wildcat' last year.
  15. Like any Rookie, Maybin will have a learning curve. heck Uhrlacher the other day was interviewed and said his rookie year all he did was run around like crazy. he learned over time how to play the pro game. You are gonna see Maybin lined up in obvious passing downs and told to run around the Tackle for now. He will learn more about the position as the season progress'.
  16. Hmmm, what excuse will he give this year if he plays poorly ? He cant say that his contract was on his mind like he did for Buffalo last year.
  17. Game day jerseys is coming. Its only a matter of time. The owners and league will cite costs of contracts and doing business, in order to generate more revenue. Before you know it the jerseys will look like premier soccer league ones in Britain.
  18. On Saturday you saw pretty much what Roscoe is capable of. If he makes a catch in space he will get yardage. But if a safety/corner/LB gets a hand on him then you have a high risk of turnover/injury. He is the size of a small high school wideout. Fats as heck, but will be banged up a lot if he was an everydown player.
  19. wow, so you like to argue for arguements sake? I mean really. It is crazy when Jake Long gets to be the highest paid offensive lineman before he has ever played a down. How someone played in college is relevant, but for each position i am sure we could give an example of a guy who was thought to be a 'lock' all pro, and busted out. Haveing said all that i am not mad at Maybin, how many of us would go to work with out compensation, get injured and be unable to perform, and then get sent home. All with out getting a penny. The owners and players assoc. have to fix this problem once and for all.
  20. He is a rookie, that has been in camp for a little over a week before his first real live scrimage. It was his 'welcome to the NFL moment'. If you make a mistake in the NFL, a misstep, get a little high, the guy on the opposite side will beat you. This is not college. I think the kid will be fine. He seems to have a very tough attitude. I bet he is very displeased about that ONE play. It probably motivates the kid to work harder, and try to be better. If you ask me i think every rookie should be made to look like a rookie at first, to humble them. And teach them that the NFL is a place where talent will get you so far. But hard work and determination mixed with that talent will make you great. I tried to watch Bell as much as i could. He looked huge. Those arms look like they should be able to throw around some beef. He seems to have kept his athleticism while adding some bulk, the Bills might have found another good tackle.
  21. while i do agree somewhat with your post, i think you need to step back for a second. Many of these guys are playing football because they either love the game or they would not be able to find another job making a quarter of what they would playing in the NFL. Most of these guys play only 3-5years. I think the average NFL career is 3 years. But in those three years they make 100s of thousands of dollars usually. The good players make millions. Now if someone gave you millions if dollars in your 20s, Lets just say 2 million and you were respnsible with it, you would not have to work again the rest of your life. You could live off the interest every year and make over 100k a year. Not bad. You could litterally play golf everyday, live in a nice 350-500k house, drive a nice car, and take a nice two week vacation every year. Think about it really. Heck you could go get a 9-5 job and work for 20 years retire when you are 45 and have millions waiting for you in retirement. Not bad for 3 years of work in your early to mid 20s. Not to mention you lived the football lifestyle for those few years as well.
  22. I agree they are stockpiling picks, however they have lost some very important figures in the personel evaluation dept. Pioli this year and Dimitrof lastyear. Dont get me wrong i am not saying they will completely implode. But their last two drafts have not been anything that outstanding.
  23. Ok i watched a lot of Vicks career here in Atlanta. Vick and Edwards are complete opposites in style. Vick runs very well, Edwards does not. Vick has a huge arm but is very inaccurate with it. Edwards had a mediocre arm put has shown the ability to be very accurate, especially in short to medium range. Vick threw his passes with one speed, FAST. Vick had zero touch. Hell the two are not even the same size or color. I mean come on. If anything Lossman was a poormans Vick. But Edwards? Jeez.
  24. 350 is what a lot of pro lineman weigh. 350 on a guy that is under 6 ft and a banker looks silly. 350 on a 6'6 NFL lineman is what you want on your team.
