6.5 million reasons why TO has been out there not Johnson. However with Owens injury i think you see Johnson and hopefully Hardy out there.
-
Yeah and then the next play from scrimage Ayers gets walled off and the Pittsburgh back rumbles for 40 yds down the sideline. he looked very blockable most of the time. Orakapo is on a good defense. With a good defensive line. Teams have to worry about Haynesworth in the middle, this allows Orakapo to get better pressure.

How do you build moving forward
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills need a Left Tackle. The QB class is not very deep this year. Personally if you could get Richard Seymour in FA, draft the first or second best tackle, with your first round pick. Then in the second get the best LB available, then the Bills have a solid team next year. Trent has a better Oline to play behind. And the Defense is better in the front seven. None of this mean much though, if Jauron and the entire offensive staff are not fired. -
I live in Atlanta but am a big Bills fan. I watched that game last night as a Falcons fan. I actually for the first time got upset when they lost. The Atlanta franchise has come a long way in just a few short years. When i think back to two years ago, when Atlanta got killed on monday night, then the next day Petrino left for Arkansas, all while Vick was getting sentenced. It does give you a little hope for Buffalo. If Mr Wilson really wants to win he should follow Mr Blanks' example. Hire a proven young talent evaluator as GM, a good smart student of the game as coach, and draft/trade for a franchise QB. I also watched that game last night thinking i am glad the Dolphins went with Culpepper over Brees. Thank You Nick Saban for that one.

DeSean Jackson v. James Hardy
atlbillsfan1975 replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Way to early to tell anything yet Hardy got hurt, i am sure at some point in his career jackson will too. But i will say this, Jackson is benefitting from haveing Andy Reed calling plays. If you watched last night both long runs were a way to utilize Jacksons speed. Have the right personel running the right plays. The Bills have Lee Evans running crossing patterns and Owens running flies. Just the opposite to what the two do best. -
Valid point. But do we really think for one second Fitz is the answer? Hamden? Not saying Garcia is the long term solution, but he provides a spark, and some 'been there done that' from the qb position as far as winning. He is still in good shape, and can play. I bet he could beat Edwards in a foot race. And with Edwards eggs being scrambled, i am sick of loosing for another year. This move would atleast show the FO is as desperate as we fans are for a winner!

With all due respect i think things started to spiral out of control in Tampa a little. Gruden had like 6guys at qb at one point in training camp. Hey that brings up the question, where is Jake Plummer? J/k

Benching the most exciting player
atlbillsfan1975 replied to StamerforPrez's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Roscoe is a mental midget and a physical midget. He does not know the plays. Go back and look at that Saints game. Right before the half, the Bills were moveing the Ball. Roscoe actually made the first play. Then when it came time to get back on the line and run the next play, he did not know where to line up. Cost the Bills time and then a timeout. not to mention his fumbles. Roscoe has played very unfocused football. If he was mad about not getting time in at WR, how is he going to feel not getting anytime? punt returners dont last long, he is near the end of his rope as that. And is no where near smart enough to be a wr. -
Not in love with him. But he is a proven winner. He stepped in at Philly a couple years ago and got them into the playoffs. He is better the Fitz or Hamden, and Edwards in his present condition(maybe in regular condition). And the Raiders cutting him to me is a plus for him, they are not really known for makeing any prudent personel moves in the last 5 years or so.
-
Garcia would be a perfect fit for the Bills. He has always been a play maker. The Bills have excellent weapons at wr and running back. The interior of the line is getting better every week. The Bills need a qb that can make plays and be good enough on his feet to scramble some and still throw a nice ball(the tackles have not been good at all). With Trent out with another concussion, and i am afraid what he is going to look like when he does come back from it(remember last year). Garcia would be a nice pick up. He has succeded everywhere he has gone. He would be a nice fill in for this year, then draft your long term guy next year. Could he and T.O make up??? Would DJ put the squeeze on Wilson, knowing he has to win??

Ball control offense now?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If i am not mistaken the D just gave up almost 300 yds rushing. If not for Sanchez playing like a rookie, Bills loose that game big time. As far as Offense goes, yes. Start huddeling like all the other teams. And run a pro style offense. And maybe the Bills have a shot at 7-9 again. -
Parrish is “finished” in Buffalo
atlbillsfan1975 replied to bills_red's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well he only has himself to blame. I actually wanted him back for ST purposes. But he stunk there. Cost the Bills one game and changed the momentum of the Saints game with his fumble. Get what you can and move on. The Bills will have more 6 round picks then any team in the league next year. I did like the message it sent to the rest of the guys. Play or sit out. The game move son with out you. makeing stupid no thinking mistakes will not be tolarated. Jauron actually showed a little backbone, jeez. -
Should Fred get the bulk of the carries?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
50/50. They should keep it close as possible. You saw what happened in the fourth quarter when you were able to rotate two good backs in and out. -
Did we win it, or did the Jests lose this game?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Force_Majeur's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sanchez looked like crap. Ryan looked like a Dcord not a head coach with some of his decisions. And in the end a lifeless Jauron got a win. All this did today was hurt the Bills draft status. I was actually cheering for all the no win and one win teams. We need to be honest the Bills are not a playoff team. If its not the offense looking terrible its the defense. And the STs have been horrible all year. Today was a Win and i like it, but by the end of the year when Buffalo is 5-11, we will be wishing we could draught McCoy to go with our new HC. -
I think Sharper802 went in like a bull in a china shop. But i got to agree about TB. Dungy had plenty of opportunites to win with that team. Not till Gruden came in and set things right on offense did that team win.
-
Stay with the 4-3 and bring in Seymour. Get him and Stroud back together. And Seymour gets to show Belicheat he has something in the tank twice a year for three more years. You would have Schobel/Stroud/Seymour/Maybin. Nice rotation with Williams off the bench.

Evans is 5-10 and 197 Owens is 6'3 and 225. Owens has good open field running ability, as well as the ability to break tackles. Evans has shown he might be the best deep threat in the league. My point is why has Evans not been thrown to deep and why is Owens not doing the 10-15 yd slants. People are running these routes just not Evans or Owens. Maybe the no huddle has something to do with this?
-
I thought that Evans strength was his ability to blow past guys and catch long fly balls. And i thought T.Os strength was to catch a ball about 10-15 yds down field and make people miss/break tackles. It seems so far this season the Bills have reversed that a lot of time. I dont remember Evans getting a long fly thrown to him yet. But i remeber T.O on more then one occasion running that route. Maybe it is just me. Am i way off base here?
-
I got to concur. Roscoe looked horrible. He was also the reason on that play right before half the Bills could not get lined up and finally called a time out. He doesn't know the play book! He is a midget, who is fast, but now seems to be running scarred. I was for keepin ghim in the offseason, because of his return ability. But that looks terrible so far. It was like he ran right into the cover men after that fumble. Trying to get tackled as fast as possible. He brings nothing to the offense. I think it is too late to trade him this year. Best you can hope for is he has one return for T.D or a couple of good highlight returns and you can sucker a team like Oakland into a trade next year. But he really is not at all useful on offense. And learn the damn plays!!!!!!!!
-
Now i know exactly how Dennis Green felt in his press confrence when he was coaching Arizona, and they lost to the Bears. N.O is a good team but the Bills gave that game away. Not on any one singular play, but on the entire offenses inability to score/move the ball. After yesterdays game Edwards is starting to loose me a little. he looked horrible. Play calling was some of it, but he threw some very bad passes all game. If this continues then i hope the Bills finally take a qb in the First round next year, high up. Because the Bills will be picking in the top 10. Jauron is Jauron, he stinks. 4 and 1 call with 8 minutes left in the game was stupid. Everyone else knew that if you kick that ball you have no chance of winning. The 70K fans in Rich knew it, the millions at home watching knew it. Heck i bet the players and coaches knew it. Jauron is the only one who did not know it, or was playing to not loose by that much. Either way that not what i want anymore in a head coach. He is going to loose this team real quick i think.

If you were more disgusted by yesterday's game
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills looked clueless yesterday on offense. The gosh darn center could not snap the ball, Edwards looked like he regressed. The play calling was horrible. The offense was a flat as could be. I was more disappointed because N.O is a good team that the Bills had right there for 3+ quarters. Then they let them off the hook. -
My opinion about the upcoming game
atlbillsfan1975 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If N.O plays their best game and Buffalo plays their best game i hate to say it but i like N.O (close). Haveing said that, how Buffalo beat N.O is to not turn the ball over, do not settle for field goals, and big plays on special teams. If Bills can win the turn over margin and convert third downs in the red zone to first downs or touchdowns, they can win this game. I also hope the lake can blow some rain in around 4 pm. -
tore his bicep. out for the season. and whatever happened to PISA? I know he is hurt too. How long?

Philadelphia Daily News Takes Shots at Buffalo
atlbillsfan1975 replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really Eagles fans are the definition on no class. Go ask Joe Jurevicius, what he thinks about Eagles fans. I remember it was in 2003 i think. Joe and his wife had a newborn son pass away. The Eagles fans were taunting him, asking him 'hows your son?' And even chanting his name, that could be heard even on t.v. Sorry but thats enough said about people in Philly.
