  1. I agree that right now Jackson is a much better runner the CJ. But if i know that so does Rex. He is going to try and clog the running lanes big time. Bills are going to have to use short crossing patterns and slants to move back the Lbs and thus let Fred get going. CJ and Fred in the game at the same time would be great to see. If CJ could catch a pas in stride over the middle, i would love to see him in a footrace.
  2. You make your own mojo. Good luck is usually the result of hard work and preperation. But god forbid the Bills lose on Sunday by a missed field goal. Fans will all want to blame Scottie
  3. Chan is a no non sense guy. having said that he also isn't pissed at stevie. I can assure you he knows how valuable Stevie is to this team.
  4. Think this was Cowher? The family wanted to stay close to his daughter at school in the Carolinas? maybe i am talking out my poop shoot. I watched Chans years coaching at Ga Tech. Went to a few of his games. You could tell he did not belong in college. He is a straight forward X and O's guy. Practice hard and then execute kind of guy. He didn't like recruiting or having to babysit college kids. that and Reggie Ball killed him at Tech
  5. Just read, or to be honest scanned a paper done by a Holy Cross student in 2009. The paper was all about the economic impact of the Super Bowl on the host cities. Look it up, no i am not smart enough to provide link. There is some discrepancy over how much money is brought in. But if you went conservative and said $300mil. and you were able to get the SB once every 10 years. then that event alone would eat a huge chunk of your initial out lay of capital. I agree that Jerry Jones' Dome was over the top. No clue what a stadium would cost by the Falls. But you should make it a retractable roof. Miami in December the roof stays open!
  6. This actually was my thought exactly. They have him under contract for this year and next. Run the you know what out of him and then let him walk. Might not be the most ethical thing in the world. Time will tell.
  7. This is going to be a fun game to watch. Chan vs Rex. Both head coaches take pride in the side of the ball they came up on. It will be low scorring i think. Fitz will need to be decisive with his throws. Wouldn't expect too many long developing pass plays. Sanchez is an average QB. If he was playing in any other market he would not get anywhere near the pub he gets. Jets Oline if healthy is going to be one of the better ones the Bills will face. Best matchup might be Mangold vs Dareus. It will be close 17-14 Buffalo.
  8. You are correct, so far. I bet against NYJ he throws one up deep. Does the "Tebow" run into the line a little, step back and throws a bomb. I also like how so many guys on this team are able to rotate into a different position due to injuries. This reminds me of how the Pats do things. Team first mentality. The team is buying what Gailey and the rest of the coaches are selling. In the NFL that is what matters! This weeks game is the most important game yet. But hell i say that every week.
  9. Hopefully the D does the sam ething the O did last year after the bye. Seems to me that after the bye last year was when the offense started really coming together. We can only hope the same happens to this D. Yes Washington was beat up and not a great team to begin with. But to hold a NFL team to 0 points is impressive.
  10. Heard that too on the radio. For those who think he is an ego maniac, he proved it a little wrong today. Could have gone for the fieldgoal.
  11. Because they are paying Merriman a sh*t ton of money. Just sayin
  12. Valid points up till todays game. Point 5 about the schedule is very valid. Understand you getting upset over their opinion, but till today didn't most of us Fans here say the same thing?
  13. Yeah. Wisenewski and Maybe Walls are the ONLY two names that stand out. So in hindsight, i think the Bills made out like bandits. Also always liked Cornelius Bennett we shared the same college football nickname. Too bad i didnt stop eating all the biscuits! Darn It
  14. I was always one the boat of screw the owners, if they can afford a team they can afford the stadium as well. But you also have to look at what that teams brings to the community in tax dollars. Think about how many millions in taxes the team brings in over the years to the state/city. maybe someone has some type of analysis? If i am wrong would love to see the evidence either way.
  15. Not knowing the details of his contract aside, it is a no brainer that you bring him in. The Bills have a horrible pass rush. Even if they do draft an OLB in round one or two, there is still a huge need for pas rushers on this team. maybe after this surgery the Bills decide to see what he can do and if they feel at this point in his career he is a situational guy(rush specialist) they keep him. He has shown a desire to help younger guys learn. That alone is worth a spot if he can still produce 10-15 plays a game.
  16. Exactly This weeks game is pivitol fo rthe rest of the season. Go 5-2 with the Jets coming to Buffalo is big.
  17. Why can't Bills fans drive to toronto? I am only asking. Do season ticket holders have to purchase tix fo rthe Rogers center game? It is a 90 min drive, right? Maybe Toronto is also hopin gto get Buffalo and Bills fans to come to their city? If you notice, i dont think they ever play a game late in the season in Toronto.
  18. I hope it remains a constant theme. Bills get one of the few wins for a bye team this weekend. Then the Jets get one of the many loses next game! Rex Ryan getting two weeks to prepare for the Bills offense seems a little daunting. He realizes there is a huge difference in 4-3 or 3-4. and going 2-1 in the division or 1-2. You can bet he will be pulling out all the blitze packages and zone blitzes for the Bills the next game. I hope Chan has done the same for our Offense this week, and the bills put up 50 on the Skins!
  19. He had ACL surgery in April. I dont think even T.O, who is known for having remarkable recovery skills, is going to convince any NFL he is ready to play this season. He should sit out one year and get an invite to training camp next year. I am sure he can stil play. Put him on a team like the Ravens next year, or Steelers, he could be productive.
  20. the fact that som eyoung guys are comming in and doing well at QB only helps the Bills if you really think about it. I mean you can draft a quality young talent comming out of college in the second round and pay him the new rookie salary for 3-4 years. Now i am not saying the bills shouldn't try to lock Fitz up, but also want to be smart about it. If Fitz puts a continious season together of play like the first 6 weeks, then he deserves that 5 year 50mil contract. I also am not abig fan of doing deals lik ethis mid season. Lets say Fitz gets the new deal, thats a lot of pressure with no time to adjust. How many fans will turn on him if he goes out and has more games like he did against the Giants, then he did against the Pats?
  21. yeah, either way it kind of sucks. That would mean another wasted pick. Understand drafting isn't a science, but at some point if this is going to be a solid team, we have to start hitting on picks more times then not. especially in early rounds. Just think if Troupe was able to step in with Williams down. To me that is the biggest concern on this team- no depth anywhere really(maybe wr). In the NFL injuries happen, its the teams with quality depth that win consistently. Hopefully Ross is another project that pans out for the Bills.
  22. anyone else think this is a sign Williams might be on the shelf for awhile? Not trying to be gloom and doom.
  23. Fitz's agent is smarter then that. if they are 'close' in negotiations, has to be 4-5 year deal, no?
  24. Got to agree with WEO. Show me a full consecutive season of playing at his current level, then i say give him 12mil a year. I dont think any other teams would come steal him from you. Giving a guy a huge raise after 6 games into a season seems a little steep. Rather tell him, 'keep this up, and you will get paid'. Fitz and his agent know he puts up numbers for the rest of the seaosn like he has now, there will be a few teams willing to pay him $12mil a season. And the team with the first shot is Buffalo. He seems like a loyal guy, who would give Buffalo every opportuinity to show him the money first.
  25. We should have given them Harmon ... Maybe then we would have been in 5 straight Super Bowls ... Especially in light of the fact that Harmon owed some bookies some major bucks. Never will know if he really threw the game or not, but sure looked like it.
