  1. Got to agree, Unless you can tell me he is the next Revis...pass.
  2. or a testament to a good franchise? I mean when you think about it how many other teams could do this, and get the same support? Steelers?
  3. I saw today on Sports Center that the Steelers are maybe going to 'tender' WR Mike Wallace(i believe this was the team and player). Each team gets one 'tender offer'. Basically then it allows the team to get something in return for the player, and also allows them the ability to match an offer he gets on the market. Why no discusion of this for Stevie? And am i way off?
  4. I think Nix is on the same page as you as far a DE's go. Unless he is playing poker, i am getting the feeling the Bills will not take a DE at 10. Look for an OT at 10. I think the Bills have a rating, like all good franchises, for each player. Then they have a need evaluation...ie- DE 1, OT 1, WR 2,LB 2,TE 3, OG 3, etc. So if the best guy on the board is at an area of the highest need they grab him. In this example there can be two areas of 'highest need'. Thus you grab the higher rated OT then 'reaching' for a DE rated lower. Nix and Chan also have guys that are 'franchise or elite' guys. These are guys that if they fall to you for some reason you take them. Even though it is not a high area of need.
  5. Pull no punches.... I do think Carrington has shown he can play. I hope he now had developed and adjusted to the speed of the NFL. I also got to wonder how difficult it is for a player to be on a D with so much turmoil? I mean they have been switching from 4-3 to 3-4 now back to 4-3. He himself has played 2-3 different positions. He has always done what is asked. If he can drop the 20, go back to his more natural weight, and play his more natural position, it stands to reason he will excel. Lets hope it is the case.
  6. Let her try out. I bet this is all a ploy. Is there not a reality tv show on righ tnow that focus' on the Cowboy Cheerleaders? Swear i saw a commercial for it. can tell you right now just form the picture, she would be fun. Yes, high maintenance, but the hot ones are. It is, can you put up with it?
  7. Great another Kelsay? Kidding, but you are right i have never heard of him. i do watch a considerable amount of SEC football. Arkansas D was awfull, but he has decent numbers.
  8. as well it should be, atleast w the NFL i get what i pay for. Politicians, dems and rebs, screw us over all the time. The NFL allows me to feel like a kid for a few hours, the Politicians treat me like a kid, while robbing me blind.
  9. Can not tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but at this point Hill is just a prospect that put up good numbers at the combine. He has very pedestrian numbers for his career stats. So to me Hill is a gamble. Could be a work out wonder or could be a hidden gem. hardy was a a physical specimen ,tall good speed and good hands. But he never learned routes. How can you not say the same thing for Hill?
  10. As BuffaloATL said, the Offense of GT lends itself to a WR not getting many catches, but putting up good averages when he does make on. Due to the triple option, WR's are almost always in one on one coverage, and with DB's being lulled to sleep by %75-%85 run plays. Wr's often get open in the triple option, it can the make the big catch like D Thomas did a few years back. In the 4th round, if WR is still a need, grab him.
  11. I get that the players should take it serious, but since most the franchises dont really put too much stock in the combine, are we not holding the players to a double standard? With todays technology and media coverage, teams have their minds made up really as to what they are thinking about a guy. Maybe a handful of guys can catch some teams attention, negative or positive. But it is not what it was 20 years ago.
  12. With everyone, mysef included, think RGIII is the real deal. Now is the time to put it out there for sure. Let the teams start to get nervous and anxious, it only takes one to bite, and the Rams get Bradford a lot of help.
  13. Don't the Giants draft DE? I mean guys that are in the 260-285 range? Then they DO line them up everywhere along the Dline. If you have a similar rated Dlineman and Olineman sitting there at 10, take Oline. Get DE in FA or round 2-4. If they do take a DT at 10, it has to make you wonder if KW is 100%. Or will ever be?
  14. During the Giants biggest injury sustained time period they lost four out of 5 games. The only win was in OT against the choking Dallas Cowboys. Just saying, injuries due play a factor in wins and losses.
  15. I agree on the Brockers comment. If they go Dline take best DE, but only if he is worth the pick. I am starting to read this is a weak DE class. Some of these guys would not be in the top 10 in previous years classes. And so maybe there is value at this position in round 2-4. So to me, if a LT is there that Buddy thinks is a corner piece for the next decade, take him. I do not like taking a wr this early in the draft, unless it is Calvin Johnson type, can not miss. Break the bank open on a provin FA DE, that will automatically make the D better from day one. Also Oline men are hostorically better day one starters then Dlinemen. And we have waited long enough for a winner.
  16. Totally different era today then when Kelly and Reed where playing together. Rules alone give the offense much more of an advantage. Just look at this year, you had 3 QB go over 5,000 yds passing. That is crazy. It also points out how bad the Bills have been over the years. I agree that Stevie is more of a number solid number 2 receiver then a true number 1. Having said all that he is worth $7-8mil a season.
  17. I like the attitude he describes. This D has been lacking intensity for years. We have had some individuals here and there that played with fire, and we as Bills fans love them. Now to have a DC that is going to push his guys and demand production by an in your face mentality...will pay off on Sundays.
  18. Exactly He should test the waters... Chandler knows the life of a pro player better then anyone, having played for 4 different teams so early in his career. Here today gone tomorrow. Can you blame him for wanting to get max GAURANTEED dollars? We here would all do the same. He is probably worth $3mil a season(give or take). 4 years for $12mil with $8mil gauranteed would get it done?
  19. Chicken and egg then right? I mean if you have already signed Bell then you probably take the best guy at one of the other 'need' positions. I know they draft best player on the board in Buffalo...but if youhave an OL and a LB with the same grade and you 'need' a LB more then an OL you draft the LB...right?
  20. No he did not. I actaully read the book about the Baltimore Ravens team. Awesome book. Was really more about football in general but used the Ravens as the team the book focused on. The book detailed a complete season in the NFL from the day after the super bowl up through the end of their season The author choose the Ravens because they had just won the SB. Great book, too bad i cant remember the name. But in it he detailed the Ray Lewis, buckead shooting. Having lived in Atlanta during the rise and fall of Buckhead i took interest in the story. Ray was guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And maybe hanging out with the wrong people. He seems to me to be the most complete football player that i have watched. I mean from talent wise to attitude. 'You pay me for mon-sat, you get sunday for free'! Love it.
  21. The point is, some guys can not with stand the beating of pro football. Add in a heart condition, and i wonder if Easly is one of those guys. Gifted athlete, but it takes the total package to play at the pro level.
  22. Get a DE from The SEC. Leaning towards Ingram. Sorry but do not want a guy from the Big Ten. Buddy knows the south like the back of his hand. I trust him when it comes to getting the skinny on any kid coming out of the south.
  23. Didn't an aliigator bite his foot off??
  24. I get the short arms thing for OT. But honestly with the rules now, and no holding called ever! its more about footwork, and walling off a guy. In run blocking short arms are better, Give me a LT with a great first step and some punch to knock a DE back a half step, and you got a winner.
  25. does anyone have the answer of what was the cap hit for Bills rookie signings last year? Since the bills are picking in similar spots, it should not be terrible different this year. maybe a mil or two. I know, what if a mil or two was not a big deal to us! ha This would help me/us to understand what is actually left to sign FA.
