Fine. You are correct, they did trade him. But you do not just trade a guy to see how a season goes. They traded while they could still get something for him. As we are seeing, the Bills FO made another great decision. Evans is not the same player he was 2 or 3 years ago. Why? heck if i know. But if he can not stick with Jville, what makes you think another team is going to pick him up so quickly? Not to mention there are plenty of 'over the hill' big name wr's sitting around out of work.

he is not coming back to Buffalo. No way no how. Chan and Buddy cut him for a reason. As much as many here have tried to give Lee too much credit, Buddy and Chan didn't see it. I do not see Buddy or Chan as the type of guys to bring back someone they let go.

It why the NFL is the NFL. Sad to see but just because you are big and an athlete it does not mean you can play pro ball. He did seem like a nice guy. Jasper was worth the pick to see if he developed into something. But at this point the staff must not see enough developement from last year, and thus it is time to cut your losses.

I think Gailey was also running the no huddle as a way to get more practice at it. As a few guys have pointed out, due to the new CBA, practice with pads has been cut down. Therefore i wonder if some coaches maybe will be using preseason games as another way to work on certain areas, ie 2 minute drill.

Not so fast my friend. IF, Merrimam is healthy and can sustain his health, he will see a lot of the field one way or another. You do not sit a healthy Merriman. The true test for him will come after about 4-6 weeks of the regular season. that is when we all will know if he is back to 'Lights Out' status

The bachelor is actually ok to watch . I mean who would not want to be him? Have 20(i think) hot woman all trying to get with you. He even gets to sleep with some of them. girls, especially single ones, love it. I passively watched it due to a girl i was hanging out with liked it. And as others pointed out, he is watching it with his wife. Sounds to me like a healthy relationship.

I remember talking to some guys i stil know on staff for Buffalo back in 2010 when Buffalo played here in Atlanta. I asked them about Maybin, what the deal was? They told me he might be one of the dumbest players they have ever been around in all their years. I bring this up not to knock him, but to point out i do not think he could pick up the play book. In NY he is being asked to do one thing, line up at OLB and rush the passer. Do not worry about if a TE is here or rb there. Just watch the snap and then go all out to the QB. hand it to Rex and his staff, they saw his strength(notice it is singular) and his weaknesses(plural). They then put him in a position to excel.

Those years were amazing. I was in high school and would go watch them with my dad, uncle, and cousin at a sports bar in Atl. I was lucky enough to go to 2 of the 4 superbowls. I also got to know some of the players on the team, due to my families ties with the Bills. Richter was all class. A real beast. He worked out crazy hours. Kelly was a big clown. use to always bust our oranges. Lofton was a gentleman through and through. The early 90's Bills was a great time to be a fan of the team. You always KNEW you were going to win a game...until the Super Bowl, sadly. I hope Chan can install that same attitude to this team. i think the talent is pretty close, they just have to believe they deserve it.

I am not going to hammer you. I will say that if and when i do read about anyones death it make me feel sad. yes the reason we are hearing so much about Garret Reid is because of who his father is. And yes Garret had a very troubled life, this makes his death and unfortunately his life sad. Sometimes there are situations that occur and just are a tragedy. nothing new to learn or look for a positive, they just are bad. I feel bad for Andy Reid. I do not have kids, i do have nieces and i know how upset i would be if anything happened to them. if i was a parent i would go home tonight and hug my child and make sure to take the time for them to see what they mean to me. Show them how wonderful it is to be able to have a family and share love with them. I hope Andy finds peace. As far as working goes and how it affects his parenting, none of us know that. It is judgemental and cold to make any assumptions. Blame is a natural human instinct so we can try to feel in control of an accident or mistake. I for one hope Andy and his family do not blame anyone for this tragedy but can move forward in time and remember their son/brother/friend with a smile.

Fights are not really that big of a deal at camp. I mean it is hot,you are with the same group of guys day and night for weeks on time. You are awy from your home and family. Mix it all together and add in a bunch of competitive guys, fights will happen. Some coaches even ensight or egg on a fight every now and then. I remember playing in college and during camp we had two guys get in a fight in the lunch line. They were good buddies but the stress of it all builds and finally explodes. Now if it had been Sanchez getting body slammed by tebow during qb drills, that would be a different story.

Rex should be worried. one thing Gailey showed is he does very well when he has time to prepare his offense for a defense. I know the same can be said for Rex and his D. But think about last year, the Bills two most decisive victories came against KC in the opener and against Washington after the Bye. Rex is a self admitted 'Blow Hard', who thinks he takes the focus off his team by making outlandish statements. If anything all he did was fire up the Bills D when Tebow HAS to play the entire game after the Bills knock Sanchez out after the first series. It will be tough to knock Tebow out because he is a big strong tough QB. The Bills D will be amped now to prove they are ready for whatever Ryan and Tebow throw at them!.

I do not think the author of the article was stepping to far out on the ledge by saying 'Kelsay could have a career year'. He would have to amass 6 sacks to have his best year. I could easily see that. He is the forgotten man among all the 'studs/names' the Bills have. Lets hope Kelsay has 6 sacks this year- and that is the least amount by any of the DE's!!

Sounds like he is doing exactly what Barnett did last year? Watching practice and kinda of getting a feel for the team. I wouldnt not be surprised if he is signed over the weekend.

I totally can see this happening. Rex will still start Sanchez. Then if the Bills D is as good as we hope it is, Sanchez looks horrible. The media and fans will be chanting 'Tebow, Tebow'. Begining of the end for Ryan

If individual drills mean no contact then maybe it is an upper body injury? If it was a leg injury he would be held out of all drills, maybe? Here is hoping it is a strain of some sort that can get better w rest. As others have mentioned Bills are very thin at LB.

The coaches are probably tough on Glenn because they were told that is how you motivate him. These coaches talk to the players college coaches and find out how he was best motivated. Glenn was a guy at Georgia that always rose to the challenge. He played every position on OL and got switched to LT his senior year because that was where he was needed. Sounds to me like the Bills coaches know he is one you can give some 'tough love' to and he will answer the call. The Bills also are making him understand that he is going to be asked to play a very important position this year as a rookie. Teams are going to be going after him early to see what he has got. The Bills staff is trying to get him as ready as possible for whats coming Sundays this fall.

I think this is the point of the OP. This year Fitz has no excuses. The D should be well improved. The oline will be solid to very good. He has one great RB behind him and one that showed he has good skills late last year. He has Stevie to throw to and a couple of other decent wr's. At some point the QB has to step up and be the reason you are good not another excuse why you are not. You look at any team in the last decade, tell me one that won without a QB having a very good season. I said decade, so Dilfer guys go away. If Fitz throws for around 4000 yds 28 tds and lowers int to 12-14, this team has a shot at the whole enchilada.

While i might agree, reading another post in the thread about last nights practice was telling. Corey got a few pass opportunities and did well with them. If he keeps that up in practice and in preseason games, i think Dickenson is gone. Numbers at combines and height and weight are great. If you can not do it with pads on, it is nothing.

Only way Mcgee does not make it out of camp is another injury. The Bills restructured his contract into a very team friendly one. You got 4 good/promising young CBs in Williams, Gilmore, Rogers, and Brooks. But you need a good solid Vet around, especially for the rookies. McGee seems like the front runner for that. He has never been in any kind of trouble, seems very classy. Fingers crossed he has an injury free 2012.

Really? If she wasn't a 'reporter' for the Bills, she would be average. I hope as some of you have pointed out she will get more comfortable and thus provide better coverage. I do not know anything about her and hope she does a wonderful job. But come on guys, she is no Erin Andrew.

I like the sentence about Wannstedt. Hungry and experienced. Something else struck me while reading this. He also learned a great deal about the personel last year. Yes he was on the staff last year. But it also seems to me that he had the luxury of being able to spend an entire year watching and learning the players. This can not be underscorred how it translated into the offseason. It should also play dividends this up coming camp. He has first hand knowledge of every players strengths and weakness'. He also learned players personalities, who he can count on to be a leader. This is not something you can pick up from game film. This comes more from spending 6 months around people, day in and day out. I do not play fantasy football, but if i did i would pick up the Bills D. I think they will be a top 10 Defense this year. I would not be surprised if at the end of the year, the D actually ends up better overall ranked then the O.

This is very true about GM's in general. I know Dimitrof here in Atl is taking heat for keeping some of his draft picks around too long.

I must say, everyone loses and has lost from this. The only people you feel bad for due to today's decision is kids playing there now and the fans. Paterno was punished by having his 111 wins vacated from 1998 till he retired. I think you will start seeing many publications dropping his total to 298, with no asterick.
