  1. Glenn was amazing. The screen play where he got out front of Spiller and just mauled anyone in his way was great. Glenn should excel at pulling and out in open space, given all his time in college at gaurd. I have always been a big fan of his. Great game by the big man. I still think Woods is the heart and soul dof this Oline. IF he can stay healthy and this line plays together all year then the Bills are on to something for the future. But yes, Fitz still scares the crap out of me. He got 90+ yds on one drive from two great runs after the catch. Besides the Chandler TD pass nothing he did yesterday was above average. Hopefully Chan realizes the best way for this team to be good is run CJ and Jackson when he comes back 40 times a game and pass only 20. Fitz CAN NOT be asked to take a game over with his arm. This game showed what the Bills have, a dynamic young running back and an Oline that can crush people.
  2. Look at his years in Denver with Shanny as his coach and a good o line, good running game and good receivers. Kid was good. And in his 6 full seasons he had five of them with a qb rating of 86% or higher. he does throw too many INT's. If you had one game to win who would you honestly want at QB? Cutler or Fitz? All things equal.
  3. HoJo is a great guy, that bleeds for this team. I met HoJo when i was 4 years old and he has remained a family friend for years. As i have mentioned before my grandfather worked for the Bills in the 70's and 80's up until his death. my grandfather and HoJo became friends and HoJo was always at family events while my grandfather was alive. I last saw him when Buffalo played in Atlanta a few years back. HoJo brought the entire equipment staff into my restaurant. HoJo loves the Bills as much or more then any of us. he has worked 90 hour weeks for years and not because the pay is amazing. I just got off the phone with my unlce who spoke with HoJo earlier today. There is more to the story. HoJo is a great guy and has always represented the team and city of Buffalo with pride and class. He was one of the 'good guys' in the orginization. Sad to see him go.
  4. Cutler can not win. He was accused a few seasons ago of 'not caring' when the Bears lost in the playoffs. Last night i saw a guy who is pissed he has an Oline which stunk up the places. Greenbay is good, but he had olineman getting killed one on one. I do not feel bad for him, but if you gave him a good o line i think he would look pretty darn good. And to even compare him to Fitz is crazy. You can keep all the stats you want, but Cutler is a good QB. he just has a knack for pissing people off, kind of like Rivers in SD. Once you realize the guys just want to win then you get over their antics. Peyton Manning is another guy that was notorious for throwing his teammates under the bus early on in his career.
  5. If we know about it so does the league. I am sure that a memo or at least KC is being told that any type of unnecessary roughness against S.J. will be delt with quickly(during the game) and harshly after(fines/suspensions). The last thing the league needs or wants is a player getting hurt deliberately. I do not see him taking a cheap shot. If he gets hurt, it will suck. But to me, how Stevie has the same injury he had a year ago is confusing. Did he not have surgery to correct it? Or does it take so lon gto recover from? I know the groin is a sensetive area, but come on.
  6. You always seem very intelligent and a more middle of the road guy. But Cromartie basically came out and said that Rex and the Jets coaches put them in position to make plays. That through film study and GOOD coaching they knew how to play the Bills receivers. Now i am not suggesting that the offense is basic. But it does seem to rely heavily on short passes and ones that tend to favor from the hashes on out. This is kind of interesting because Fitz SUPPOSEDLY lacks great arm strength/mechanics. Maybe T Jackson will get a shot. If there are a few more games from Fitz like the last, then at the bye maybe a switch is made. Jackson is very mobile and has a stronger arm then Fitz, right?
  7. Tamba Hali also get to come back from his on egame suspension. The Falcons looked amazing against KC. They moved the ball at will threw the air...Chan will probably watch this tape an dthink Fitz can do the same. Unfortunatly Fitz is not Ryan and the Bills have no one near as good as Roddy White or Julio Jones catching balls. Heck the falcons third best receiver, Harry Douglas is as good as the Bills best. If Chan even tries to copy ATL game plan KC will kill the Bills. KC is also looking to revenge their emberassing home opening lose of a year ago at the hands of the Bills. Do not be surprised if the Bills are not down early again. Fitz will come out over hyped and look like a mental midget again. Making throws that make no sense what so ever. I can only hope you guys can cheer them on and amp up the D!! Chan needs to go to ground and pound and play D. It will go against everything his stands for as an O minded coach. If Chan does not ride w CJ we are in for another long Sunday afternoon!!!
  8. I only mentioned it because the guy makes the same mistakes over and over again. It is not because he can not learn, it is because he can't handle the pressure of the game. I am not saying your wrong, but Fitz stil had to make the throws. The point is not until everyone thought they had lost and thus there was no expectations did Fitz feel comfortable. I would not be surprised if he goes out there this week and has a great game, since now everyone thinks he sucks!! The guys living in denial will claim he 'showed some fortitude' coming back and stepping up. I say he is a back up that only does well when you do not have to count on him.
  9. Maybe Chan and Nix did realize what Fitz is. Thus why they tried to bring in Vince Young and Now T. Jackson. Fitz is a back up. He is a guy when there is very little expectations he will succeed. The minute expectations increase his production decreases. Seriously. Look at last year. Even inside of a game. Look at the Raiders, and the NE game. Once the team got behind and everyone thought they were going to loose, Fitz came on. Even yesterday, once the Bills were down did he finally start to do something. We all tried to kid ourselves and look at the positives, like 'his resolve in adversity'. B.S. Fitzpatrick Can Not Handle The Pressure!!! His talent is what it is. Great? Nope. Horrible? Nope. And the guy went to Harvard...he is not stupid. He just does not have the mental fortitude to step up when everyone is counting on him. Expectations were high going into this year. National media, all of us fans, everyone wants a playoff birth. The F.O. made moves trying to get the team there. Fitz knows it rests on him, and he can not mentally handle it. Sorry Guys. I tried and hoped he was the answer, but he is not. The first pick was horrible, back foot, across the field, and at Revis. Seriously? You guys that like Fitz need to look up the definition of insanity. And even if the team is 9-6 and needs a win to make the playoffs, do you honestly trust Fitz will have a game to put the Bills into the playoffs??!!!
  10. Your ACL controls or stabilizes your lateral movement. You can go forward and backward all day. You can not make 'cuts'. What is the prognosis for a sprained LCL? Probably gets it drained, then a shot of Cortizol in it? Maybe back in 1-2 weeks?
  11. Did the Bills switch back to a 3-4? And is Merriman the player from 2006? If you answered 'no' to one or both of these questions, you have your answer....
  12. Defense- Chris White- gets a chance and make the most of it. Offense - Cordy Glenn Overall Glenn proves to everyone he should have been the first tackle taken in the draft. Grades out better then any other rookie LT.
  13. All this stuff means nothing. the Bills have to go out and play hard. If the Jets lose a couple of games then this stuff builds and causes problems. This will not help the Bills in the first game.
  14. 'her name is Chastity'!! 'you shut your mouth when your talking to me!!'
  15. So for like a month Rex has been talking about how worried The Bills are about facing his Wildcat Tebow Machine. Now Rex admits to being scarred about M. Williams? Love IT!!!
  16. The way you beat the wildcat is play good sound football. I mean honestly, whenever Teebow is in the game it is prety much 50/50 he will run it or pass it. DB's have to stick to their man for the entire play, DL has to play good gap control and you have your MLB be the spy on Teebow. I am sure the Jets will have a couple of nice gains with the wildcat. But overall i expect Buffalo to play some good defense, and for Wanny to put them in position to succeed. They will just have to tackle. Wrap up Teebow and wait for help to bring him down.
  17. 3500 yds, 28 tds and 14 ints. Fitz does this and the Bills are in the playoffs. FJ and CJ both rush for around 1000 yds. The D will be able to play to their strong suite- rushing the passer. It all starts with Fitz playing solid and consistant.
  18. I couldnt agree more. I hope Chan does not use the shotgun empty backfield half as much this year. I understand the Oline was nicked up last year, but not even making a d have to play the run was frustrating. Chan did this many times early in the season even before Fred J. was hurt. Hopefully this year Chan goes with more conventional O formations. 2 wr's, 1 TE, and, 2 running backs. Put Fred or CJ in motion to the slot. This still allows a lot of running and passing options. it will keep the D more honest. Especially the lineman. I know Chan has forgotten more football then i will know. But as a guy that played oline into college i always hated it when a Dlineman KNEW it was a pass play and did not have to even respect the run.
  19. Not a good solution. From all reports McKelvin has excelled at Nickle. Since the bills will probably be in Nickle for a large part of the game, why not leave a player in a position he is better at. McKelvin gets in trouble on plays down the field. But in tight spaces he can utilize his assests- speed and quickness and minimize his liabilities- ball skills and ball awareness.
  20. You think? What is Fitz base this year? I thought it was only around $8mil? If so then you still have less money in those 4 guys then Brady, Manning, or Brees? Not to mention money tied up in their back ups. My theory all goes out the window if Fitz is getting $12 mil or so... But since our '4th' qb is also going to play a decent amount of wr, you have to take some of his salary and move it towards that position, right?
  21. I just saw my buddy who i grew up with. He is a huge UGA fan, i mean the kind of guy who knows work out stats, game stats and such for the whole team. Yes, we constantly tell him to get a life! Ha I asked him before the draft if he thought Glenn could play LT in the NFL. He was not so sure. He gave me some things he liked and disliked about Glenns chances. He is a blind homer when it comes to UGA fans, and has some solid knowledge of the game. I wanted Glenn because i thought he would be a great prospect and when he was there in the second it was a no brainer. Barring injury by the end of this year i think we will all love the Glenn pick!! Enough with Wilson, he is not nor will he ever be on our team. Let it go guys. be happy with what you have. Keep positive energy about your team!!! Lets not wait for something bad to happen, but believe it is our time!!!!
  22. If you get a chance to watch the Piece on Namath on HBO i suggest it highly. It is great for guys who do not know the story and for some of you guys who were around i am sure you will find it interesting. Namath has had his demons, but he also is/was a guy who said what he believed and then stuck by it. He nearly retired from football when the NFL forced him to sell his shares in a night club in NYC. The night club had mob ties, supposedly, and the NFL did not like the image it was associated with. Being in my mid 30's i have no first hand knowledge of the 60's or Joe's great run and Super Bowl victory. He was maybe the first sports figure to become a mainstream superstar.
  23. 10 wins. Sweep the Jets and Dolphins, i reall think this can be done. Both teams have far less talent then Buffalo. Split with the Patriots, Bills did it last year, and this squad for Buffalo is better and NE is showing some chinks in the armor. Then pick up two wins against NFC west, probably St Loius and Seattle. Three more against KC, Cleveland, Tenn, Jax or Indy. Even if you split with the Jets i think there is another win in this last group.
  24. Kinda feel bad for Philbin. He seems like a straight shooting good guy, who has inherited a train wreck. I admire the way he has handled things from what i have seen on hard knocks.
