  1. Since Nix has said this. basically, who cares? Nix not Gailey makes this type of decision, and Fitz knows this. Fitz is an intelligent man. He knows he is at best going to be competing next year, again, for a starting spot with the Bills. At worst Fitz is gone trying to start over, again somewhere else.
  2. I got agree with some of the other posters...coaching is screwing this team up. They would screw up green and dalton. Chan would have green runing underneath routes and getting his head knocked off!! Marcell looked like a man last year, this year average. Now i will say Dalton over Aaron is a yes!!! Chan is an idiot. Sorry but you could give him the best players and he would find a way to screw it up. Offensive guru mind???? WTF are you watching??? He managed one touchdown the last 8 quarters!!!!! that is not a guru!!! that is an inept in over his head old fart!!!
  3. Well i would this agree this season is representative of Mario's play. Mario had stretches in Houston where he went missing. Andre ware even came out and said such the week of the Texans game. He would get called out by fans and media and he would answer the critics. So i think this year is kind of true to what Mario is, a streaky player. Look -fact is the Bills needed to win that game in Indy, and Mario showed up and played his tail off. IF the Bills had won, his effort would be a lot sweeter today. Mario showed up against Miami too. The loss in Indy falls squarely on Chan. The offense couldnt put up 21 points against an average Indy D.
  4. Falcons may make a run at him. They have Abraham and that is really it.
  5. mario did have a great day. Set the edge- to bad the Bills had no one in the middle giving up multiple first downs to Luck running the ball! I can see both sides to the arguement for Mario right now. I hope the guy since the surgery is who we get for the next 5 seasons. And like other posters have pointed out add a LB or two and this D is looks good.- Oh yeah, fire Wanny too!
  6. The offensive line is just like every other group or player on this team- inconsitent. That is a product of poor coaching. I mean if you can look good one week and poor a next what does that say? Probably that the coaches prepaired you well one week and bad the next. Now the Bills did have some bad plays- Hairston for one looked really bad on that one sack.
  7. Watching the game yesterday and seeing the cameras pan to Wanny or Chan was like watching two old guy reading the sunday paper and babysitting the grandkids playing in the back yard!
  8. I disagree. Chan is about as uninspirring as you can get. I am not saying i want a head coach with pom pom's on, but jeez show some signs of life. He is and always has been an OC. He needs a HC like Cowher to fire up the team and get them believing. Chan is an x and o guy. Yesterdays play calling before the half sealed it for me. A HC would have given Chan one pass attempt on first down. When it went incomplete he would have said run it twice and make them use their time outs. We punt the ball back with less then 20seconds. Instead Chan throws it on first and second down. Both incomplete and then runs it. Indy gets the ball back with 53 seconds at almost mid-field. Indy still has a time out left. The Bills were lucky to only give up 3 points. Sorry Chan showed yesterday he is in over his head. Any fan that has been watching NE games long enough knew what to do thier. You think BB would have allowed the other team the same option Chan did? Nope!!
  9. Scouts everywhere will be wathing the SEC gane very closely. Murray will be one of the main players being watched. If he can go out and play a very efficent game and put up 250 yds and a couple TD's and limit any turnovers he goes from a maybe in the first to a definite. Would you not agree?
  10. The problem with people defending Fitz is this- yesterday the Bills played a team very much like themselves. The difference being QB. Luck is good and Fitz is not. Indy and Buffalo are very comprable on D and much of their O is similar to Buffalo's. I would even argue Buffalo has a better Oline and running backs. Sorry but the D gave up 13 points. And 3 of that was due to Gailey's horrible play calling just before the half
  11. Murray plays in a pro style offense. I have never doubted his physical ability. My problem has been his consistency and ability of playing big in the big game. To his defense against in his worst showing of the year against South Carolina he was dealing with news about his fathers cancer. IF, and it is a big IF, Murray plays good on Saturday against a good Bama D in the SEC championship then he is a first rounder. The Bills would be just silly not to take him. Stop with the QB's have to be 6'4 to be succesfull. Every QB gets passes batted. Even Luck had some yesterday and he is 6'4 i think. Second round and thrid round need to be devoted to LB and/or DB help. Every Bills fan should be watching the SEC championship game on Saturday, the Bills will likely have a player or two selected in April from the game.
  12. I disagree on talent here. IF the Bills promoted Whaley and let him hire his guy and draft a QB in the first round, i think this team wins. Look around the league. The Falcons where terrible in 2007. Petrino runs out in the middle of the night and is singing Pig Sooie at Arkansas before even telling his players what he was doing. Vick and the dog fighting investigation is unravelling. Blank finally learns to step aside and hire a good GM and promotes McKay to president of football operations. The rest is history. Over the past decade when teams have brought in a new GM then let him hire a HC and they draft a qb in the next draft, good things happen. Its like everyone in on the same page of the building a team from the start. There is talent on the Bills i believe that. But Gailey is done. He is uninspring and in over his head. Buddy needs to go to. Sorry but the time has come. Really start over and bring in all three levels that are most important. GM, HC and QB!!!
  13. Look at what the Texans do with Watt. They are moving him around constantly changing looks. Wanny just says line up and run forward. Honestly Marcell will be a great player for the Bills for years to come. I firmly believe that. The problem has been Wanny stubbornness to realize the league has changed. He is grudgingly giving in and mixing it up. If he continues to do that we will see Marcell in the back field more and more.
  14. Byrd is a very up and down guy. He has looked magnificent sometimes and others he is no where to be found. Not sure if it is scheme or what. The INT against Miami was maybe one of the best you will ever see. He has great ball hawking ability. He plays the run decent. He is not overly fast, so if he makes a mistake he can not recover easily. He also will not be able to run down a fast receiver or back, he has worked on his angles and approach. All in all he will need to be paid top 10 safety money. Is Searcy a free safety or strong safety?
  15. Because history repeats itself for the Buffalo Bills?
  16. true- But i believe due to the rules of the game it is even more so now. DB's can not do half the things they could 12-15 years ago. Also the QB's are close to untouchable. But you are right. Look at the Steelers(70's), Cowboys(70's and 90's), and Frisco(80's). Giants even can make a claim to it with Simms and Parcell. If Mannin and Coughlin win one more i would put them up there.
  17. Bills need to win, no doubt. The fact that Indy does not rush well favors Buffalo. I also hope that Wanny stays with his theory of mixing up fronts when it comes to rookies and/or unproven qb's. First time i saw any real sign of this was against Kolb in 'Zona. He also did some nice things against Tanneyhill in the Miami game. Putting Kyle and Marcel in the A gap was awesome. One of the guys will come free because the center will get pulled one way or the other. I also hope the ends can set the edge. Luck is much more mobile then people give him credit for. Bills can not leave miles of open space in the middle of the field. I would love to see Wanny dig deep into his bag of Defensive fronts. Given the Bills had some extra time to prepare for Indy should aide in this. On O I love the fact Freddie is back. IF Chan will limit Fitz to under 30 passes, the Bills have a real shot. Use CJ the same way they did against Miami. Let Freddie come in and get 12-15 touches, the bulk in short yardage and also in the second half/fourth quarter. Pound the ball with our big boys up front. The oline of Glenn, Levitre, Wood, Urbik, and Hairston should be able to open up holes for either CJ or Freddie. This Oline is the best the Bills have when it comes to running. There was a lot of talk about screens during the last game and since. Also it has been mentioned the Colts do not play the screen well. For this reason i suspect the Colts have been spending a lot of time preparring for it. Not sure how well it will work against them. Gailey is great at mixing up screens, so do not abandom them, but they can not be the 'go to' play. RUN, RUN, then pass. Control the clock from the outset. Due to Luck's ability to make great passes the Colts can score quick. So the O needs to set the tempo of a ground and pound game. Sorry for the Rex comment, but it really is how the Bills should be playing. In the end the Bills win 31-24. The drive to the playoffs endures another week. The Bills begin sucking us back in!! Ha
  18. NE proves it is a QB driven league. It also shows what a great HC will do for you. BB understands the game of football like no one else. And no i do not like him. BB is a great mastermind. He gets his team to buy into what he preaches. Brady has been brain washed into thinking whatever BB says it is the word of God. If you look around the league at teams that have been good for the past decade you will see one common denominator- a very good QB and a very good HC that are on the same page. Think about it
  19. Put some Chandler in their and i agree. Chandler is money inside the 20. I think up until the Texan games, the Bills held one of the leagues best redzone TD percentage.
  20. 'So your saying hteirs a chance?'.....I hear ya!
  21. Once you get the hang of it pretty fun. I did winning percent. Then changed the Bills vs Indy and Seattle to Bills victories. Bills got in. Shows you how good/fun technology can be!
  22. Bills lose this week. THEN win the last 5. Get eliminated in a tie breaker scenario with everyone. 9-7. Chan stays. Buddy gets his qb. Get a new D cord. D looks great next year. Bills in the playoffs next season.
  23. Sorry. Adequate to win games against BAD teams? Yes. Adequate to win games against good to great teams? NO! Until the Bills get a good to great QB, we got what we got. A team that will be mediocre. It is a QB driven league. Unless the Bills address that position, they will be what we have seen. As your qb goes, so goes your team. Look at the Saints. They have a horrbile D, but a great QB. The reason why they will finish with a better record then Buffalo is because of Brees. Why not try and get one player and fix many problems. Then get many players to try and fix one problem. Winning is the problem. Give me a good qb with an average D any day over the opposite.
  24. Loved what i saw out of Glenn last night. But Urbik looked great. To me he stole the show. Guys has great agility. I was really impressed with the entire oline. Hairston was a little shaky. And some of the line calls were crazy. Mayock did a good job of breaking down why Cam Wake got a couple free shots. Sorry but slanting the oline away from the opposing D's best end just seems nuts.
  25. last nights game answered this question. Bills D gave up 7 points. Bills O scored 12 points. In my eyes that shows that instead of going out there and putting up 20, like they could or should have the O settles for 4 field goals. Fitz tried twice to throw INT on Miami's side of the 50. Sorry guys, a win is a win, but Fitz isn't the answer. He is not consistent
