Lets see how the kids finish the season out. I do not think the combine matters one bit to QB's. As the games get more meanning full lets see how they respond to the pressure. Murray is the most interesting one. Plays in a pro style system, in the SEC. he goes up against great defenses game in and game out. So far he has had an average showing. Some great numbers put up, but has struggled in big games against SC and FLA. If the Dawgs make it to the Dome and IF he has a great game against Bama's D, then you have to take Murray. All that said he is still a JR and could come back one more year.

Assuming a loss to the Pats.....
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly after the way the Bills got beat by N.E the first time and then layed down against the 49ers. That showed me all i needed to know about the energy on this team. I really believe there is a lot of talent here. I think some good candidates for HC will also think so. The Bills need a HC and QB and they are a playoff team. Gailey has to go and so does the entire staff. I know the Bills have hired average to bad HC the last 12 years, so i think we are due for a good hire!! -
Player changes at One Bills Drive
atlbillsfan1975 replied to ShipUPride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would go. I mean come on guys. if you could get equal money going to a team that has a track record of winning what would you do? i want to believe what the one poster said about building the oline first, the drafting a qb. But one could also arguee you have to coach guys up. And if this is a known train of thought from Nix, then what does that say to the guys in the locker room? It makes the fo look in ept and incompetent. They just signed Fritz to be their guy almost exactly one year ago! If i was a player on the Bills enterring FA i would think real hard about jumping ship. Pitt is a classic example of a team that every year has oline problems, but finds ways to win even reach the super bowl -
Ralph is mad that the Bills are losing
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ralph would probably hire Polian. He is in the right age bracket for people Ralph likes to work with. I am not so sure Polian has the same 'pull' he use to have. I also wonder if Polian has the same understanding of players as he once did. Personally i would rather turn things over to Whaley. It is time. I wish Ralph would give him total control of the team much like Blank did in Atl to Dimitroff. Nix could stay on in a much reduced role, like Rich McKay did in Atl. Become president of football operations. The model is right there for Buffalo to follow and it was done 4 years ago here in Atl. -
New Member....here's the Fix needed in Buffalo IMO
atlbillsfan1975 replied to HeatsPix's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Been saying this since week one when Fitz looked like Fitz, and The rookies came out looking pretty good. Look at any good NFL team and they have a good qb. Fitz is average/below average thus the Bills are too. And as far as the OP point about the 'temptation' to take away touches from CJ, that is called bad coaching. Chan should be able to figure it out. I was watching a show about Kentucky Basketball for a second last night. In it the head coach John Calipari was dealing with how to get two centers on the floor at the same time, because they are both great players. His qoute was "i do not want to tell one of them ' sorry i can't figure out how to get you both on the floor at the same time, so one of you has to sit" . Now that is the sign of a good coach. Chan has struggled for th epast two years trying to figure out how to use them both on the field at the same time. -
McGee & Pears to IR, Potter released
atlbillsfan1975 replied to bills44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
MCGee was a pro's pro. Good guy, tried hard and played hurt for many games the last few years. think it is time he says good bye to the game he loves. Pears being injured would explain his drop off of play. Think the team is really looking at Routt? -
I am starting to wonder if some of you guys work for Casino's or off shore gambling sites. Trying to come on here and sucker some people into bad bets!! Honestly i will be watching the game and cheering for the Bills. But just like the last game, by then fourth quarter i expect to be heading out to more productive things!

I love how you guys make fun of the South. I live in Atlanta, was born in Buffalo and raised in a very Italian/Northern atmospere. A. The south and in particular the SEC has the best talent in the country. If you arguee that you are just being silly. There is nothing wrong with drafting guys from the south, just got to pick the right ones! B. Nix and Gailey do work well together, but it seems Gailey does not work well with Wanny. C. Nix worked in San Diego for years, to call him a country bumpkin or anything else is also silly. I wonder what you were saying about him back in March? Ralph should be angry so should we all. I think a vast majority of us thought this year would be different due to talent upgrades. No not a Super Bowl year, but also not another 6-10 year. The problem is coaching. Talent is here, that is my only hope maybe we can get a good coach. He will demand the Bills make a trade to draft at least one of the top 2 qb's coming out. Then sign on the dotted line. Oh i can dream! -
We can only hope Buddy made a phone call. With McGee hurt and Williams now the Bills need a DB if nothing else. Brooks is a rookie and Rodgers has looked terrible this year. I know Routt has been torched this year, but he is an upgrade over Williams. Maybe a change of scenerary will do him good? Wait he will still have Wanny as his coach....nevermind.
-
Spiller is the real deal. I am sorry Bill i disagree with you here. He is the ONLY play maker the Bills have. By that i mean a guy that when he touches the ball he can take it to the house. As far as the Williams injury, i am right there with you Bill. I do not want him to be hurt, but it seems that is the only way they will stop playing him. I actually found myself thinking "well if you had turned your head and picked the ball of or at least deflecting it then you wouldn't have gotten hurt". Guy is a second round pick and in the NFL and he has no clue how to play DB...none. Gailey had absolutely no balls yesterday. You are 3-4 on the road go for it on that 4 and less then one inside the 10!!! Your team needed a spark, Gailey layed up. pathetic. Then right before half it was like watching Jauron manage the clock. With 9 seconds left you take a shot at the endzone and then try the field goal. Horrible coaching. None of the players have confidence in the coaches. That is my take. And the coaches have very little confidence in the players. This is a recipe for a very bad second half. But knowing the Bills they will eek out another 3-4 wins. Save Gaileys job for another year and put the Bills just out of the race for drafting one of the top Qb's.

Aaron Murray [your QB of the future]
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BillsInMaine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets see what Murray has today. Looks like he is going to be forced to win the game with his arm. This game and Auburn only two teams that stand in the way of getting back to the Dome. So far this looks like a typical Mark Richt/Mike Bobo called game. Flat after a big win. -
Yeah- After the butt kicking the team took against the Pats in the first game, then the D went out and layed down against the 49ers. I think a lot had to do with players realizing or not buying into what Wanny was trying to do. I hope he has taken the bye week to meet with the players and discuss different schemes. Get some feed back from the players, and try some new unique things. I am looking at what the Falcons D is doing here in Atlanta. The Falcons have no where near the same amount of talent as the Bills have. The Falcons do however have a great head coach and Cords. This is very much a game the Bills could win. This game is one the Bills could lose by 21. I will be watching and hoping just like the rest of you for a happy Monday morning drive to work!!

Top 5 Things Bellichick Would Do as Bills HC
atlbillsfan1975 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yours sound spot on. 1-6 i would like, not so sure i like 7. The Pats had their best success when Pioli and Dimitroff where picking the talent. Or at very least they were narrowing down the pool of players and BB would say who he liked out of the bunch. -
Jason Cole rips Wanny on Howard Simon show
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you think the reason the Saints are not as good a team this year is not because of Sean Payton then you do not understand football. The Saints do not have a head coach! Payton brings that entie team together. He holds everyone accountable. Sorry but watch the Saints next year with HIM. -

Is Cordy Glenn coming back this week?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They move Watt around a lot. I know i saw him in the game against the Jets rush against the LT a few times at least. You can bet Wade will exploit/explore the Bills Oline to find any weakness....would be nice if wanny did the same things!! Ha -
Is Cordy Glenn coming back this week?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be nice to see what Glenn does as a rookie against Watt. Loved the way the big guy was playing before he went down. A complete mauler in the run game, and showed some agility. His experience playing some gaurd in college really helped in on the downfield blocking assignments. -
Dareus deals with adversity arcticle
atlbillsfan1975 replied to bmur66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was after the second year if i recall correctly. By that time people got to know Chan and his approach. i also find it intersting that Chan stuck with Reggie Ball at Tech for all four years. Even though Ball made many many mistakes. It seemed back then that Chan thought "i am smarter then you guys at home or in the stands" The biggest play that comes to mind is Reggie throwing the ball away on a fourth down play that cost them the game against UGA. Anyways take what i said for what it is worth- nothing really. Ha Hope i didnt steal the thread. Maybe lends some insight or back ground on Chan. -

Dareus deals with adversity arcticle
atlbillsfan1975 replied to bmur66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whenever i have heard someone say 'i dont know' about subjects like this, it usually means they do know but dont want to say. I think dareus is being affected by the loss of his brother. I am sure any of us here would too. Maybe the OP is reading a little too much into the Gailey comment. I however remember when he was coaching at GT. living in Atlanta and having some close friends who are majorly tied into the program at GT they said Gailey did not belong in college. Gailey cared more about XO's then about building a personal relationship with his players or fan base. In college you as a HC are helping mold the players into adults, whether you like it or not. Marcell is still a pretty young guy. Maybe Gailey is not a HC at all, maybe he spends all his time and energy on the offensive scheme, he has little left to be a motivator or build a relationship with his players. I think Gailey is probably best suited to be an OC. I think we all believe this to be true, or most of us. Gailey has forgot more about football then most of us on this board will ever know, i am sure. But seems to me he has not learned much about how people/players have changed now a days. At the end of the day i hope marcell can find peace for himself first and foremost. he is a young man with his entire life in front of him. Sad to see a guy who seems like such a fun loving jovial guy have to endure this type of situation so early on in life. He needs everyone around him to say ' hey, i am here if you need to talk, i care about you'. You would be amazed at what that can do for someone. -
Aaron Murray [your QB of the future]
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BillsInMaine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not saying he sucks. never once did i. But he has some really horrible games the past two seasons when it counted. I agree 100% about the SEC being the toughest confrence! he is also 21 years old about to be 22. So i am not sure he is a 'kid'. This is his third year starting. yes he is still in college and he will get better. But usually a guy being a 'gamer' is there no matter what. And i am sorry we can agree to disagree on the Mitchell play, but i stand pat- Mitchell deserves most of the credit for that TD. -
Aaron Murray [your QB of the future]
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BillsInMaine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude, seriously, the D finally played like the pre-season D it was hyped as. And Malcolm Mitchell made that finally play. Yes Murray threw him the ball but come one. If Richt and Bobo had a clue they would have just run the dang ball down UF throat. I just hope the Bills can do what UGA just did on D when they play again. Kinda will be a similar scenario...no one will be giving Buffalo a chance, because Buffalos D has been horrible. Here is hoping next Sunday Buffalo can put together he same type of showing the Dawgs did today!!! -

Big UGA fan here, watching the first half of this game is like watching Fitz. Murray seems very tight to be playing on the big stage...we do not need another qb that can not handle pressure!!
