  1. Best thing the Bills can hope for is- EJ proves he is the starter and will be a very good to great QB. Tuel beats out Kolb and makes him expendable. Not that i do not like Kolb, but i think the league has an opinion on him. Tuel gets to play some here and there for some reason and shows himself to be capable of leading an offense. Tuel keeps the Bills playing good if EJ goes down to injury. At some point over the next couple years the Bills are able to trade Tuel for some draft picks. ALA what Washington will do with Kirk Cousins and what the Falcons did with Matt Schaub.
  2. Obnoxious is the right word for him. He was a good player but is a horrible t.v. personality.
  3. I like Marrone's comments. I think he realizes EJ is not a weak minded guy. Marrone gave EJ praise but also said 'you hope it translates into better things to come..' for what he did in the 2 min drill. One game does not make EJ the guy us fans have been looking for. If he can build on it he will help all of us forget the past 13 years.
  4. Come on you are way smarter than that. parker can work out a deal with another team. Get them to offer the Bills a 2nd in the upcoming draft and a second in 2015. Work out a deal for his new contract and get it done. Problem is no one want sto give up that kind of cash and players for Byrd. My hope is he sees how the team is changing from his first four years here and wants to get in on the action. Byrd signs the tender this week and plays in the last pre-season game and adds more talent to what is looking like it could be a solid D.
  5. You are absolutely correct. The thing i saw yesterday apart for the talent, was coaching. The Bills coaches had this team ready to play. Yes, it is preseason, but the Bills looked crisp and ready to play. I got the impression that everyone knows they are expected to play hard and smart. Their are area's of weakness, but every team has those. I think we saw EJ get more comfortable as the game went on, and thus hope that translates to his next start. We knew what we had in Chan and Fitz. So far this change is giving me more and more reasons to believe good things are around the corner. Lets hope we end up with two strating caliber QB's in EJ and Tuel. Way to early on for me to think that for Tuel or i guess EJ. But if it does happen, great. It should translate into a couple of extra draft picks down the road
  6. We will see some good things out of EJ and some rookie stuff i bet. I do not think he is as polished as Luck was last year, but he has just as high cieling. As far as Kolb, i do not think you can go into the season with out a vet. To me he would be a great insurance policy if something happened to EJ.
  7. God i can not wait till the regular season starts. And we can focus on the reason we are Bills fans. Not hating on this topic, but every off-season we discuss if or when the Bills are moving or not. Do you think fans in NE or ATL or Dallas do that? Is it a possibility, sure. If you think it is not possible you are kidding yourself. But why worry about. let us cheer on our team and hope we get to celebrate a BUFFALO BILL supperbowl just once sometime in the next 5 years.
  8. When i was a kid i use to get full access to the Bills training camp at Fredonia. I also played football into college. This was pretty accurate of how camp is. You are around a bunch of guys for weeks. You start to act like kids. I mean you are playing a kids game as an adult. Some part of you still acts like you did when you started playing the game. The Bengals should be damn good this year. My pick to win the AFC North. Funniest thing to me was them having to wait for the crossing guard to go from the locker room to the practice field. Hillarious.
  9. Hairston's knock is his pass blocking. He excels at run blocking due to his large frame. His feet and mobility have been lacking as a pass blocker. Doubt that is exactly what you want protecting your new franchise QB.
  10. It is just now starting to change in Atlanta. Why? because the Falcons have a great owner who is building a tradition of winning. For years you would go to a Falcons game and if they where playing the Steelers, Dallas, or San Fran, etc... the stadium would be split 60/40. Not so now. As for Buffalo, the city is a nice place. If you can make money in Buffalo it is a great town. So to me sports players have no reason not to go to Buffalo. The snow is over hyped. Yes the weather is not great, but there are many days in the summer in Atl i woould trade with Buffalo.
  11. A certain guy in Green Bay would disagree with you.
  12. It is people like you i wish would find another team. I also wonder what you would do if/when the Bills win a SB. At what point during the season will you go from negative Nancy to bandwagon Bill??
  13. Ha! I was more talking about Jboyst comments about the Ravens. Sad as i was typing that i was thinking about Kelly/Marv in the first SB against the Giants. Parcell's so out coached Marv, no way straight up talent the Giants should have won that game.
  14. you are always very insightful, but when has good coaching and good QB play not won a SB? As for the Ravens this year, i agree with many they will not be the same team. I mean they stumbled into the playoffs and then got hot. They easily could be the fighting with the Browns for last in their division. The Bengals to me are the best team in the AFC North. Wow did i really say that?! Ha
  15. That was my concern as well. kind of the 'really? did this just happen now?!!!' reaction. I remember in college we had a guy get hurt opening camp practice as we where doing our initial run out to stretch. He missed camp and never played a down that year. lets hope Kolb just has a slight sprain and can be back soon. Say what you will but Kolb provided the only vetran pressence at the most important position on the field.
  16. Next time you pick up your order it is twice what it is now, you ready to do that???? Didn't think so....
  17. Every day he sits there, i think reality begins to set in, no? I am sure at this point he is playing the 'lets see who gets hurt in camp' game. But even then, a team is not likely to hand out a big multi year deal to a guard they are only hoping to rent for a year. Lets hope our guys step up and answer the challenge and the Bills do not need to spend money at another position.
  18. Someone brought up a good point about having Fitz contract go against that number this year, so by next year the Bills have more money to play with. Is that correct?
  19. Exactly. Also speaks to the guys character i think. Which hopefully can translate into something on the field. He has the size, and i think athleticism, he also will put in the work. Lets hope his body holds up for him.
  20. Guess he does not have any mental issues? I mean i would think they would test for that right? ha!
  21. I will take a guy with potential shut down corner written all over him vs a good guard.
  22. IF Gilmore can shut down a wr, or at very least hold him in check it opens up so many more possibilities for a D Cord. A D can suddenly blitz much more due to the fact they have an unaccounted for man.
  23. Difference is ESPN did not give updates and keep Rogers relevant like they did with Matheau. This could also be a product of where and how the programs where doing. LSU in National Championship hunt over the past several years. Tenn has not be relevant for a long time.
  24. Rex's D will be gased. It really does not matter what style he runs. As long as Sanchez is the qb, fumbling of his Olines butt, the Jets will be a speed bump to the Pats.
