Buffalo Bills fans " our clothing style has stayed the same since we where a winning team".
-
I have a feeling Hackett and Marrone will work things out. I also have a feeling the health of EJ was on everyone's mind. When you think about the fact that besides EJ you have two other very questionable guys at back up, i think the play book reflected concern for keeping EJ healthy. When the staff feels totally comfortable that EJ is healthy i believe we are going to see more read options and other plays that will allow EJ to show off his mobility in the pocket.
-
I got to agree about how EJ was used today. I think the staff used a smaller version of the play book, or at least i hope they did. Most likely this was due to EJ knee more than anything else. Add in EJ being a rookie and only getting two preseason games worth of practice, the staff approached the game conservatively. All i know is i have not been this excited about a team and a qb for a long long time. Is my excitement based on what i think EJ has the ability to do? Yep! We saw one nice scramble today for around 15-20 yards. He is an effortless runner, you do not get a sense of how fast he is until you realize he is running away from people. I also hope that our OC will take the chains of his play calling overall as well.

Mario Williams has Plantar Fasciitis too

yeah hard to compare. Who knows. More focused on who is out there and how they play at this point. The other stuff is not relevant to trying to get a win today. -
Bolden did not make the trip i believe. Brady is good, but the Bills have got to win this game. With the Pats missing the guys they are, and it being at home. I know if Gilmore was healthy and Byrd was ready things would look more opportunistic for a win. But the Pats have gotten remarkably worse from the team that barely beat Buffalo in NE late in the season last year. Enough with the Brady makes everyone look great. I hope the Bills' players are licking their chops at the chance to beat these guys and send an early message that this is not the same Bills team you have played Brady and Belichick for the last 13 years!

Jim Kelly would be Ben Roethlisberger today. Do not kid yourself. That is kind of how i see EJ playing.

How will Marquis Goodwin do?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to luckydog31's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep i can see this guy putting up good yards this year. the Bills could have two 1000yd recievers. To me Woods and Stevie will compliment each other greatly. Woods has seemingly flown under the radar to this point due to EJ and Kiko. I think we start to see on Sunday why so many scouts had him as th emost polished reciever coming out of college. -

Love it! We have got to be the most paranoid fan base in all of sports besides Cubs fans!!! -
To defer or not to defer that is the question

I wonder with rules changing where more kickoffs are now being touched back will change the old thinking? -

atlbillsfan1975 replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear you that is the rule. Just like you do not go for 2 until the fourth quarter. But when you have watched one set of coaches constantly out coach another with adjustments at half, i think it is time to change it up. You also send another message to your rookie by taking it in the first that you have confidence in him. Marrone being an o minded guy might just do that. -
Ron Jaworski's take on EJ (via Mike & Mike)
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually made that same comparison yesterday when a co-worker asked me how is EJ. I think EJ has the same type of game as Wilson has. EJ can run, but he can throw better. I also believe EJ has the same type of leadership and the 'it' factor Wilson has. The Bills do not have the same D...yet. But i did not think that greatly of Seattles D until last year either. they where good in 2011, but once the got a good O, the D became great. -

I agree based off the last several years. Belichick and his staff did a much better job then the Bills coaching staffs making adjustments at half time. I would take the ball and let EJ and the O have a crack at NE. Let EJ get in rythm early with some high percentage throws and let him hand the ball of to CJ! -
So does Byrd play on sunday or not?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to billsgpr88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are fans. We only know what we are told by the media which is told by either the Bills or Byrd's side. Really just put the best 11 guys out there and let them play. If Byrd is not ready physically or mentally then he is probably not the best 11. We can all say what we want, but the fact is that this is not helping Byrd or Parker at all. Owners are very close in this league. If this is a case of Parker and Byrd stirring the pot it will not be good for them in the long run. I believe Parker is smart enough to realize that. We should all move on from Byrd. if he is out there and plays and plays good, great! If he is not out there and the Bills win and the secondary looks good, even better!! There are so many scenarios. I just am ready for Sunday to get here like i bet all the players and coaches are. Once the ball kicks this stuff is the last thing they are thinking about, and i wont be either. -

Wow. For a reporter Tim has very thin skin. I find it funny when reporters give answers like he did. Kind of funny to watch how they respond when someone pokes at them. -
Predictions - Bills v. New England*
atlbillsfan1975 replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will be close. being a Bills fan i say the Bills win. I also think after the game Belichick and Brady are going to say 'that is a different Bills team. They have a legit coach, legit QB, and a legit D.' Belichick and and Brady will both have a look of disbelief on their faces as they watch the clock run out. it will not be like two years ago where the Bills 'stole' one in the Pats eyes. This time the Bills just beat the Pats straight up man to man. -
Well i have only seen them lose 3 times in the last 13 years! Kidding. I agree with you. Bills must truely believe they deserve to beat the Pats and they can. Not saying they will, but they can.

What Is The Stat We Will Need To Win?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Turnovers. Honestly believe the way this team wins is the same way it won two years ago. -
Whatever happened to Manti Te'o?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Come on man. This guy will always have people routing against him because of what he did. He will also have his entire career followed more closely then any other second round pick from this draft. Just nature of the beast. -
We may not blitz Brady on Sunday
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is it. Blitzing Brady is not the answer exactly. Getting pressure up the middle and in his face is what rattles Brady. The only reason i dislike Brady is because at times through out his career you see him playing scared. It does not happen often, but i never remember the great ones like Montana, Farve, Kelly, Marino, even Manning being scared. Brady hates to get hit. And he really hates to get hit if it is straight up you beating his oline. This turns Brady on his oline. Does it happen often? Nope. On paper the Bills have the front line to beat an oline straight up. Lets hope this year they do it like they did in the first game of the 2011 season against the Pats. -
Ron Brooks to Start at CB
atlbillsfan1975 replied to FutureBillsGM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is not mentally where he is physically yet, i will give you that. But Brooks has size and speed and is not afraid to make a hit. The question is can he learn the nuances of play DB. I hope so and i hope it comes quickly to him. -
The tape thing does not matter and the fact the Pats know EJ is the starter on Weds is not a big advantage for them. Like other have said this season is about watching hopefully a QB mature has well has an entire team. It would be great to have EJ come out and beat NE. If nothing else i hope we are in the game and EJ is a huge reason why the Bills have a chance to win, not the biggest reason they lose.

Good. Circle the Wagons!

Ron Brooks to Start at CB
atlbillsfan1975 replied to FutureBillsGM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering Amendola's style of play McKelvin on him may not be a bad choice. Quick guy with quick moves. McKelvin to me is good at sticking with a guy in close quarters. it is the deep routes he loses the ball. Brooks has a lot of talent but he gets lost at times.
