Bills lead the League in fumbles - 10
atlbillsfan1975 replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tannehill may turn into a good one, jury is still out on that. But he cost his team at critical times last night. Int and fumbles where the reason the Saints got on a roll. -

I hope the Browns do key on Steve. Woods is already starting to show he is the more talented WR. By years end teams will be rolling their #1 corner to Woods so SJ production can pick back up. -
Bills lead the League in fumbles - 10

When you think about the amount of injuries and turnovers the Bills have had (and where they had them-inside their redzone) it is amazing they are 2-2. The NE game comes to mind with CJ's fumble and this past week EJ's too. -
Here is how i see it playing out- Byrd will come back when Gilmore and McKelvin are back- probably the Cincy game. Why? Because i bet Byrd realizes if the Bills have those two starting CBs, plus A. Williams playing good with Leonhard playing decent, the Bills could IR Byrd. Could being the optimal word there.

Kiko's post-game interview
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He reminds me 100% of Rocky from the second Rocky when they are having the interview for the rematch. Good stuff. He is a tough sob who has great instincts. he will only get better. This draft was amazing so far. IF Kiko, Woods and EJ, keep progressing, this could be the draft we look back at in 10 years and say that is what turned it around. Not to mention Robey plays darn good. And who knows what we got in Gragg or Goodwin yet. -
Win #2 - Who gets your game ball?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went with Marcel. The fact the Ravens only ran it 2 times in the second half was big. Also the fact Marcel had 2 sacks is also huge. Kiko is a close second. -
Manuel had another rough outing
atlbillsfan1975 replied to zazie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ is making throws we have not seen since Bledsoe was here. EJ is also making mental mistakes at times that are based in being a rookie we hope. Personally I like where he is and think he has the ability to lead a team with his talent and character. I also think we will see EJ and Woods become a very dangerous tandem for years. SJ is a great WR but you can already see the difference in raw talent between SJ and Woods. If Hackett can develop his play calling and game plan, EJ will thrive as well. -

I hope the Browns and other teams put their shutdown corner on SJ. After yesterdays performance and what I have seen in to this points Woods is emerging quickly. By seasons end Woods will be the number 1 think and SJ will complement him nicely. -

Thank you very much. Even a broke clock is right twice a day. I was thinking about writing 'maybe Flacco will have one of his off days', but did not want to jinx it! -
I am sorry but Hackett has a long way to go. The drive with four minutes left was bad. 3 and 11 and he calls a draw. Just bad. Ravens had at least 2 time outs and the two minute warning. Also it appeared as though EJ was told to get SJ involved in the game and tried to force him the ball. If that came from Hackett or where i do not know. It is becoming more and more clear that Woods is going to be way better the SJ. I am not saying SJ is bad, but by years end SJ will be the # 2 and Woods will be EJ's go to guy. Hackett may have called a better game today, or the Oline may have executed better on those runs up the middle. It also appeared like the Bills used the same run play to start multiple drives. I hope Hackett can progress i do. I think it is bad that he is in the NFL as a coach and learning. To me you should have done that BEFORE you got to the NFL.

Cordy Glenn turning into a stud LT...
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Glenn is exactly the type of LT the Bills have been needing for years. From all accounts Glenn is a positive and talented individual. Keep him at LT resign him after his 3rd year. You then would have your two most important Olinemen figured out- Center and LT. Some teams do value guards. i get why the Saints do because of Brees' height. But for the Bills and EJ gaurds need to be adequate not the best in the league. Find another good young one in round 2-3 next year. -

I also like how that Cincy game sets up for the Bills. Cincy plays Pats right before Bills. Might be able to catch them feeling good about themselves if they beat the Pats. -

Atl-28 NE-20 MIA-16 NO-35 Sea-21 Hou-24 Denver-35 Phi-24 Atlanta will be rocking Monday night. Brady is going to have a tough time getting on the same page with his WR. NE wr are young Nolan is going to try and confuse them on their reads. NE O is all about reading and reacting. The WR have to think the same way Brady does. You can not confuse Brady but maybe you can confuse his wide outs. Miami gets beat bad by NO. NO actually looks like they have a D to go with Brees. Scary. Houston is not a bad team and the Ravens made them look bad. Look for Houston to be out to prove something against Seattle. The Chip Kelley belongs back in college talk really ramps up after Peyton kicks his teams butt. -

atlbillsfan1975 replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know. Personally i am from the school of thought why make 2 areas weaker. Keep Williams at safety. Gosh know Williams. is a below average CB but seemed to play decent as safety the first two weeks. Unfortunately it appears the Bills have no other options. Bills got to get pressure on Flacco and make him have one of his 'off' days. Also the Bills have got to jam receivers at the line. Rogers just can not stay with his man. I would make the Ravens beat the Bills with the run, which they very well could. But i like the chances for a turn over more on a long drive then giving up a 50yd bomb. -
Joe Gibbs, desperate for work...
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great story my friend. It made me think about my first football coach. i started in 6th grade. To this day he is my favorite coach. I played into college and Coach Cobb was the best i had from a pure good person stand point. he taught us about the game and about team work. Taught us responsibility and respect for each other and ourselves. I am sure Gibbs is getting a kick out of not having to put up with the Dan Snyder too!! ha -
Come on NoSaint. I know you are very level headed guy and you like to take people for what they say. That qoute right there says a lot. You never hear a player referring to a team he is on as 'them'. It is a team and he is part of the team. Every player knows you say 'we'. You learn this in little league or HS ball. Byrd is either not very intelligent(which i doubt) or he is right out saying i am not a part of this team. He lost me with that. I have been level headed about it too. But the more things pile up Byrd is becoming less like someone i want to cheer for. I will say good thing the internet and social media was not around when the Bills drafted Kelly! ha

atlbillsfan1975 replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it will be closer then people think because i just do not see the Ravens as being that elite team they have been. They got on a roll last week with Ray Lewis there and beat the Texans pretty good. I still think they can be beat if the Bills play a sound game- from coaches to players. But when i read things like Rogers and Williams at CB, i get scared. 24-21 Bills. Bills bring the Ravens down to their style of play and win at home. -
Nope. The best this team has moved was in the no huddle. Problem is you got to get that first first down on a drive. that is what really makes the no huddle. The Bills struggled mightly at this in NY. Lets hope they can get it going this week against the Ravens. EJ appears to be a 'rhythm' QB. He needs a certain tempo right now in his career to help him get into a level of comfort. Rex knew this and did everything to keep EJ out of sync. And Hackett did very little and the oline contributed as well to the dis jointed performance we witnessed.
-
You hit the nail on the head. Byrd had this injury last year and played and played at a high level. He had the entire off season to rest the injury. Maybe a reporter with some stones needs to ask the right questions. Reporter- 'you have stated you played with this injury last year, correct?' 'did you re-injury it in the off season?' I would like the answer to those two questions.

Lets turn our attention to Baltimore
atlbillsfan1975 replied to dascottbills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes it is. But Hackett failing to adjust is costing the team just as much. IF you got a player not performing or unable to carry out a job, stop asking that player to do it. OR you become just as much a part of the problem. At this point we know what CJ is. A very elusive player in open space. He is not a bull rusher. Stop trying to make CJ something he is not. It was like yesterday when they ran the wheel route and EJ hit Freddie in stride with it. That is when CJ should have been used. My point is run Freddie up the middle and use CJ outside. Until Hackett shows he understands his personel and how to use them correctly i am not sold on him as an OC. -

Ok. At what point to do you stop living in the past and face reality today? Not being argumentative, just tired of watching CJ get arm tackled. And when he does brake a nice run i am scarred to death of him fumbling. -

You know i want to disagree with you, i do. But Hackett has left me no way to do so. The only positive coming from CJ being banged up, is Hackett will be forced to not use him in any type of power running scheme. -

atlbillsfan1975 replied to dascottbills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe Baltimore is no where near what they were last year. They have holes on D and with Rice being banged up and the wide receivers for Baltimore also questionable, Bills have a shot. We got to hope Byrd, Gilmore, or McKelvin can come back this week though. Otherwise i am scared what Flacco could do to us. I really do not want to watch Dallas Clark find the fountain of youth. I also have got to hope Hackett studies up and figures out some ways to use EJ with Chandler, Stevie, and Woods. Freddie is your running back and CJ is your third down/pass catching rb. Ravens like to bring it on D so playing them right after NY is good i guess. Screens and quick timing plays are going to be needed for the O to have success. -
I am headed down with my buddy who is a huge Saints fan. I am excited to get back down to New Orleans, been about 15 years for me. It is going to be a fun couple of days. Not expecting much from the game, hope i am wrong, you never know. Be nice to meet some of you guys/gals.
