  1. Of the two, Wyatt is more of a Bills type DTackle. That said, I think a lot of people are going to regret not taking Davis. I don’t think the Bills will take him if he is there. Not sure the Bills take Wyatt either, for some reason Beane doesn’t like SEC players high in the draft. White was picked before his tenure.
  2. Seems like a lot of money for a guy who the Chiefs began to manage his snap count due to injury concerns. Hill is fast but not a great route runner or great hands from what I have seen. The season he losses a step is when his production stops and never comes back.
  3. What about Berrios excites you? From my understanding from listening to some Jets guys is he had three good games. Berrios’ name has gotten some buzz and he might get Beasley money without proving he can produce consistently like Beasley.
  4. Last year Sanders took a ton of snaps from Davis. When Davis gets time on the field he makes plays. I am not sure why but the player who popped into my head was John Taylor for the 49ers as a comparison. Taylor had the type of career i can see Davis having, if you adjust for how the game has changed now regarding passing to when Taylor played in the 80’s.
  5. Who said low ball offer?! I laugh at people who read something and interpret it with their beliefs and not for the face value it was written. Fair Market Value.
  6. I wouldn’t mind playing a game there, just not as the home team. Keep building the brand.
  7. Pay him this off-season, his price is only going to go up.
  8. If you go back and look at his time in Carolina as DC, when he had elite players on the line they played 70%+ of the snaps.
  9. The only “highlight” for me was his sack in the playoff game against NE. The D played good early and I thought Star’s play had something to do with that, but he didn’t make any big plays himself.
  10. This is an interesting name. I think Gesicki would check a few boxes. First he could be a flex slot option. While his blocking isn’t great, I think he could do a decent job against DB’s, taking the Kumerow spot. Then he is good insurance for TE. Lastly, with the reports that Dorsey has used 2 TE’s a good bit in his past, this might in name only, accomplish that. It would provide a nice wrinkly to the offense without trying to reinvent the whole system.
  11. Agreed on the IOL being addressed with Bates and a draft pick in the first 3 rounds. Boettger or another similar type vet as a backup and another late round draft pick. Beane will bring guys in to compete, but I don’t see anyone getting anything close to $7mil a season who isn’t already on the roster.
  12. Your first two points are preferred options, is there a way to accomplish this now while structuring Diggs contract? Seems like if Beane keeps Diggs happy then they move on from Davis in two years because the cap hit to cut/trade Diggs would be prohibitive. I will admit I’m not 100% positive how trades work regarding cap hits, but I’m pretty sure it depends on how the deal is structured. A player can be traded but the original team can still take a cap hit.
  13. For the sake of conversation, what happens if over the next two years, Gabe Davis turns into a more productive receiver than Diggs? Would Diggs contract prohibit signing Davis? Can you have $50 mil tied up in the WR room for a year or two? I am all for extending Diggs. It’s the off-season and I’m bored so this is just speculation on what Beane can do, if anything, to manage this scenario now with Diggs extension.
  14. Must be a really slow news/sports week. Of course this is going to get reactions and generate discussion.
  15. McD had the play, squib kickoff. McD didn’t execute, walk over and tell Bass.
  16. I am not sure why, but this makes a ton of sense. Maybe the most stable franchise in the NFL from a coaching perspective, 3 HC in like 50 years.
  17. Yea Feliciano and Williams are nice cap savings, maybe Williams can fetch a day three draft pick for someone desperate for a RT. I think Bates is back and I hope it’s maybe a 3 year deal worth around $3-4m a year. I also would like to see if Kromer can get anything out of Ford. Draft an IOL in the first three rounds and maybe one late with one of the 4 picks in rounds 6 & 7. It will be interesting to see what vet is brought In to compete for the swing tackle job with Doyle. OP also brings up another interesting aspect as far as philosophy regarding runs for Josh. Maybe this was discussed with Dorsey before the hire as OC. It will mean additions at RB either through the draft or FA. Need to find someone with speed, like Breida, but who also can block and reads the playbook.
  18. Bills need to get younger, faster, and cheaper at WR= draft.
  19. It was a great show. They took a very realistic approach to the cap and how to make room. They didn’t touch White, Dawkins, and a few other guys salaries for now. They left those as “coupons” if they needed an extra move or two to make a trade or pickup in FA that they couldn’t pass on. $28 million and they don’t put the team in any serious cap jeopardy. This means that the draft will become that more important. I feel like it’s the opposite of last year where Beane basically said it was going to be difficult for rookies to make the team. This draft they will need to find two immediate starters, interior O or D line and then probably WR 3 or CB 2, and two more rotation guys for next season. With another player who can contribute on special teams and hopefully become a contributor like a S. Neal. Keep the core and then build in the draft.
  20. I was being generous. While they may be bad they got to the SB.
  21. This pretty much sums up why he isn’t on the Bills. He needs to focus on himself.
  22. Not only did Spain miss on Donald, which is easy to do; the play before, 3rd and 2, he got beat as well. It was his man who made initial contact to stop the Bengals RB and then Donald came in to help clean it up. I was talking to my buddy who is a Bengals fan early in the day before the game and said Spain is the only Bengal player I don’t like after his comments. They made zero sense and then his performance showed why he got let go.
  23. Yea, the OP brings cliché sayings into discussions which have very little relevance. He wants the Bills to do what the Rams did the past 5 years. Trade picks and mortgage the future for one Super Bowl win, although he was arguing for the approach before the Rams won, so that part isn’t clear. I want a Super Bowl win. I will say watching that celebration afterwards, the only person I was happy for was Donald and maybe Whitworth (I didn’t see him before I turned it off). The rest of the players all seemed glad they finally got a ring for themselves. Maybe I’m not explaining it right, but i think when the Bills win it will mean more to everyone who accomplishes the feat.
  24. Well when you have Q. Spain in there getting beat like a drum, there’s a reason you can’t rush the ball. Bengals oline is ok not great. Rams dline is amazing. Now they will fall apart and be horrible for 10 years.
