Brandon Spikes Predicting two W's against Pats
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Stevie Ray's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The more i think about this the more i like it. IT reminds me of when Rex came to Ny and said he was not there to kiss the BB ring. The Jets have been the one team in the AFC east since Rex got there that usually test NE the most. Punch a bully in the face and suddenly the hunter becomes the hunted. The Bills need to back it up on the field of course, but Spikes words are nothing to be scared of by Bills fans. Lets Brady and BB get worried over what is becoming a very good D for the Bills. -

It has been rumored that Harmon dropped that pass on purpose due to some obligations he had. Not sure if true or not but that drop was almost as bad as SJ drop against the Steelers. -
Bills acquire WR mike Williams

I hope this move works out as good for the Bills as sending Marshawn to the Seahawks for a 5th rounder! -
Texans release Danieal Manning
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BillsFan3434's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was talking about having a vet presence in camp to fight for the spot if one of the young guys does not step up or the Graham experiment does not work out. A one year deal that would allow the Bills some flexibility. -

Got to see how the leg is. Looks like he was set to make $4.5 mil this year. I have no clue about how he is. maybe he signs a one year deal to show the leg is good. Provides a year for the Bills to figure out who is the long term starter. Is he an upgrade over Leonhard? and at what price? -
That was one of the worse calls of all time. the begining of the Pats b.s calls. It is that call that made me not feel an inch of sadness for NE getting the screw job this past season against the Jets with the field goal.

Evan Mathis (Eagles All-Pro Guard) on the trading block
atlbillsfan1975 replied to dubs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally hear what you are saying and as others pointed out it looks like the Bills way. Not drafting one at all and finding one on a practice squad or after cuts late in the summer, could be another route they take. The second allows them to see what they have first. -

got to agree with you unless the Bills do both, Then they would have a pretty darn good line for 3 years. Glenn is not making crazy money. Only guy right now on the line with decent money is Woods. I would jump at a 4rth rounder and a 3 year deal. Put money up front, so in year three when you need to re-sign Glenn you can. -
I met Mr Wilson a number of times when my grandfather worked for the team in the 70's and 80's. my grandfather was a small time employee, but Mr Wilson always remembered who his family was and would always stop and say hello and ask 'aren't you Bill's grand kid'. Say what you will about him the man had class. He is the reason we have the Bills and i for one have a tear in my eye as i type this. RIP Mr Wilson

Personal Jim Kelly stories
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I attened the first ever J Kelley football camp back in like 88 i think. Kelley knew me from hanging around the team due to my grandfather working for them. Long story short we had flag football teams that would compete. My team was brutal, like never won a game bad. One game Kelley comes over and takes a snap at qb for our team. I was the center. Kelley drops back throws up a bomb which gets picked off. I turned around and looked at him, he said 'dont say a word', he knew i was a ball buster. I just laughed. -
Where Are They Now? – Jim Ritcher
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Jim Gehman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One of the classiest guys. I grew up around the Bills in the late 70's and 80's. Richter and Smerlas and J. Haslam where always really cool to me and my cousins. Jim was very cool. He was a work out freak. I remember watching him in the gym and the guy was a beast. Throwing up like 400lbs on bench like it was nothing. Glad he has transitioned so well and has an awesome life. -
Corey Graham to move to FS per Marrone
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When Byrd came out of College he did not have much if any experience at safety. he was able to transition well. A. Williams did the same thing. Troy Vincent comes to mind also. It is not like the Bills are tryin gto re-invent the wheel. Precedent has been set that moving a corner to safety can work. Graham has good size. Worse case he becomes another corner best case we have our safeties in place that between the two of them cost less the Byrd. We will see after the season who got the better deal, Bills or Saints. -
I have been trying to understand the logic of drafting a RT in round one. I just do not get it. This draft has tackles that will be available later that can start at RT. The Bills have a good young LT that is going to get paid in 2 years. The Bills have plenty of other needs like play making wr or te. On D you could arguee they need a DE to go opposite M Williams. They also need a Safety. Personally i take a play maker in the first and go D in second. Go RT in 3rd, or even trade back into the mid to late second if you have to. Please do not take a RT in the first round.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is a Houston Texan
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope for the Texans sake he does not have to play more then one or two games at a time. Fitzy is perfect for that amount of games. Asking Fitz to carry a team is just not wise nor is it what i believe the Texans are signing him for. He is a decent stop gap. The Bills screwed up and gave the guy the contract he did not deserve. I do not blame Fitz. We all would have taken that deal in a heart beat. -
Aaron Murray in the 3rd round
atlbillsfan1975 replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, and i am not trying to pick nits here, but he was hurt and went back in. It appeared as if emmotions got the better of Murray and Richt in letting him continue to play against Ga Tech. What may have been a lessor injury might have been injured more... -
Aaron Murray in the 3rd round
atlbillsfan1975 replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am a big UGA fan. I have also been a big critic of Murray at times. Personally i think Murray could be a really solid good starter or a career back up. By this i mean he showed flashes in college of being amazing. he played in a pro style offense at UGA. He came 8 yards from beating Bama his Junior year in the SEC championship and he would of then killed N.D. in the NC. Murray came back his senior year to win a SEC championship, UGA suffered a crazy amount of injuries. Murray lost his best WR in the opening game against Clemson. UGA then lost at least 3 more starting WR while also losing Gurley for periods of time and his other RB for the season. Long answer but his senior year Murray was up and down mostly contributed to the injuries. As for the knee injury, he will be ready to play by training camp and the season. IF Murray is there in the 4th Bills should take him no question asked. I doubt he will be there though. I can see Denver taking him in the third. Or Maybe N.O. Teams with older aging QB's who have a few years left. Murray would be in an ideal situation with one of those teams. I believe Murray has the tools, he needs more coaching. -
Michael Vick visiting the J-E-T-S - NOW SIGNED!
atlbillsfan1975 replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Vick is a better person today but a worse player than ever. So i do not think i care if he goes to the Jets. I do not think Vick has a lot left in the tank. Vick will still make a couple of plays here and there, and his arm is dangerous as are his feet. Unfortunately Vick can no longer over come his short comings in reading a D with his raw talent. -
The Bills are doing an excellent job in Free Agency
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills are addressing areas of need based off last year. The Bills LB's last year were very young. The Bills hoped that game experience would pay off and they would develope. For Kiko it did, but for the rest of the guys i am not so sure. The Bills now bring in Spikes and Rivers to help bring a vet pressence to that unit. Both guys can play, Spikes at a higher level right now than Rivers. We all saw how depleted the secondary got last year. the Bills addressed that with Graham. Graham can and will contribute and helps provide more Vet leadership to a unit. Williams can go either way. He could turn out to be another Urbik or he could be another Legursky. The Bills think they are getting a guy that can compete and maybe win a starting job. The contract they gave Williams reflects that. In Dixon it appears the Bills get an upgrade over Choice and a huge upgrade on ST's. honestly i am not really sure what else we could of asked for. There is still the draft to address other areas. The Bills could get another 3 starters out of the draft, to go with the possibility of maybe 3 more from FA. That is roughly a 30% turnover in players from last year. Let us hope that it translates into better production. -
I have an ideal role for Easley
atlbillsfan1975 replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For some reason his body size seems a little too lanky for a safety. I am not sure he could stand up to the hitting a safety must bring on a consistent bases. In theory i get what you are saying. I am not sure he is a fit for it... -
Whaley confirms Kiko is moving to OLB
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like Kiko to the outside. Should really allow his talents to flourish more and longer. He is built more for the outside. Getting a MLB in the draft is probably the best bet at this point. I am still under the belief you can find a day one starter at LB in the 2nd or 3rd round. -

Ha! Yeah i know it frustrating for us Bills fans to watch the rich get richer in terms of FA players. The Bills sign FA guys that have some questions about them. Let us hope these guys we sign can step up and play to the level of a Chandler at their respective positions. Or they could go the Legursky way! -

Those teams and the Saints are going for broke. They know they have aging QB's who have 2-3 years left. They will be in cap hell at some point very soon and not be good. .
