You are correct it could happen. BUT, how many of these people exist in the world? Meet criteria to own a team and could get the blessing of the other owners. Not to mention as others have stated if someone paid $2.5-3 billion there is absolutely no way they will recover that investment back in years if ever. Put all that in the mix and remember one final thing, anyone with enough money to over pay by a billion or two most likely will not. They became wealthy by making prudent decisions.

He was set to make $10mil. He is 5'9. Let Robey and the other guys play. -
Help us Obi John Wawrow, you're our only hope

In a perfect world Sammy comes in and lights it up at WR. IF for some reason he does not the Bills will look to get production out of him in other areas. -
2014 Bills OTAs Part 3 (June 9th - June 12th)
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
.not sure i agree w that word -
It was not just the frequency but also the fact he did it at the exact same time. Someone who has far more time then i do should go see how many times to start a half or game that was the call. I bet you it was over 50% of the time.

Bingo! I criticized Hackett early and often. I admitt i should have and eventually did throw it towards Marrone. To think a guy with very little NFL coaching experience could come in and be OC and QB coach with a rookie QB was poor judgement on Marrone's part. Changes have been made during the offseason and all we can hope is that the three guys Hackett, Hostler, and the QB coach work well together. I do believe the talent is there, we just need the coaching.

Time to look at Jermichael Finley
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Buffwagonscircled's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just saw this too. Does not mean he will be good even if he does sign with Pats. Lately it seems they have more misses with aging Vets then hits. -
Could not agree more. I am not sure he can play in the league or not but to go from a starter who won a playoff game to now a guy who can't get a call. Look around the league at back ups and tell me he is not better than a couple of those at least. He is a good guy from all accounts, but no team wants the millions of fans he brings because of the circus it creates.

WVAU TV Marcel Dareus arrested-edit-again
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is not good at all. After reading what he said after the first arrest about the media making it into something it is not and how he was blowing it off, i am concerned. It appears Marcel is not 'getting it'. Both of these incidents appear to be acts of someone who is immature and not ready to understand their level of responsibility. I hope for him and the Bills he figures it out. Unfortunately punishing guys that are in that mind set many times does not work unless it is a very very severe punishment, which stinks for us Bills fans. -
Here is what i was getting at. Pettine was DC under Rex Ryan who is a very hands on coach by all accounts. Pettine went to the Bills and was DC and had what appears total control on that side of the ball. After one good season with Buffalo, albiet not great season, he gets a gig. Lets say Reich is OC for the Chargers and they have an even better year offensively, you are going to say he will not get considered? Pettine doing a good job in Cleveland will also help Reich to be seen as a legit candidate. The NFL is a copy cat league.

gotcha, for some reason it seemed longer. i think maybe it was a 'nagging' injury that they finally shut him down? I remember his play his second season was down a lot
-
Correct me if i am wrong but didn't Byrd miss considerable amount of time his second season too? Unlike others i do care what former players do for a few reasons. One being to see if our F.O made a good decision or not.

WVAU TV Marcel Dareus arrested-edit-again
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right now Dareus needs to be quiet. The judges and district attorneys are able to read these qoutes from Dareus. He does not come across as a guy who is sorry for what he did. -
Before Mike Pettine i would have agreed with you
-
You may have said it a little harshly, but i got to agree with the sentiment. The stadium should be built on the water. For those who have said 'i don't want to ruin the waterfront with a stadium', are you joking??? The waterfront in Buffalo is pathetic compared to cities like Cleveland and Pitt, both towns that embraced the waterfront and developed on it! Good, gosh i can already see why so little happens in Buffalo. I can only hope that strong decisive leaders exist and will make swift and accurate decisions. Forget about what ever constituent has to say, get something done!

2014 projected bills starters from nfl.com
atlbillsfan1975 replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True, and if it is arthritis it something which will slowly become a problem. Worse case scenario for Kouandjio is he doesn't have as long a career. I think he is going to be very good for awhile. -
Doug Whaley Approval Poll
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In 2004 TD was maybe told or he said so to his staff we need a QB. So they went out to find one. They probably also took into consideration where they picked and what was available for a trade etc. In the end they forced a pick for a QB who was not first round talent, much less 3 or 4th round. If EJ does not play well this year Whaley has screwed the Bills for atleast 2 more seasons until they have first round pick again. And even then unless is is the top 3 picks you are still 50/50 on what you get.
