  1. I feel bad for him. Personally i think he can play or at least deserves the right to be on a PS. IF he is not on one it is solely the media's fault. Teams do not like distractions, much less ones that come with a fringe type player, IE Tebow. The media might just ruin this person's hopes and dreams, not him being gay. If him being gay is not a big deal, which i don't think it is, than the media needs to stop all the extra coverage. It is a shame, the media and access we have is great but it is a slippery slope.
  2. Exactly. He is the type of QB that could have won the KC game last year, but will ultimately look like Fitz the more and more he plays. Decent player but not good or great.
  3. Couple things come to mind. I do not get paid to game plan for the Buffalo Bills. Hackett does and did a below average job. He was handcuffed last year by being OC and QB coach. This was also Marrone's short sightedness. What should Hacket of done? Be creative. There are weapons on this offense. And i do think EJ is a competent QB IF he has good coaching and play calling. To date Hackett has shown to be in over his head. All i can hope for is that Hackett learned a lot like the rest of the team from year one to year two. The press on Hackett or 'buzz' about him was that he can adjust and make improvements, to date i have not seen much of that.
  4. He is the last guy i feel bad for. Honestly i do not feel bad for any of them, Marrone, Whaley, or Brandon. They all make great money and all decided to hop on the Bills bus. Marrone is just in over his head and that is not his fault, it is what it is. Whaley could be a decent GM but the Bills are a poop show. Brandon is a marketing guy who also is in over his head trying to run a pro football team. Best thing we can hope for is the new owner Brings in a football guy as the president who then hires a GM and they then hire a head coach and so on... Sorry but Marrone is not a good HC , Brandon knows less about football then half the people on here and Whaley is stuck between the two- I would throw my hands up too!!
  5. That is kind of scary is it not? Like when the Bills coaches spent a lot of time with him he got worse? ha Kidding. who knows what happened to him. Too bad he was fun to watch at times last year.
  6. In all fairness i did not watch the first half but it sounds like i did not miss much. I got to hope maybe the Bills were playing conservatively in the first half. At half time Marrone tells Hackett ' enough, we have to score and get some confidence or we are going to lose this team' EJ comes out the second half and looks like the player we need him to be and the team looks great. Play calling and execution were amazing in the third quarter. At this point who knows which Bills team shows up in Chicago in 2 weeks?
  7. When the Bills hired Marrone i recall saying Doug F%*&ing Marrone??! Things like this make me think i was right. Hopefully it will be a growing experience and bring the guys closer. Hughes talkig back was not good, but if him and Marrone spoke and cleared the air, good. I will go on record like others have, the O better get it's poop together. Or Marrone and Hackett will lose this team.
  8. The only problem so far with Marrone being an Oline coach is it appears he over estimates his ability to coach guys up. Last year what he went into the season with at LG was horrible. At some point Marrone and Whaley have to agree that the talent is not there no matter how much coaching you do.
  9. To date this is my main concern with Hackett and ultimately Marrone. They showed very little imagination with the offense in 2013. We got the excuse of QB play and yadda yadda yadda. IF we watch the same crap this year Hackett needs to go.
  10. I wonder why this came out now? I wonder what if any purpose it serves to come out now? To drive up the price? But i thought it was in writing that the Bills could not be moved out of Buffalo, is that not what Ralph asked for?
  11. I am guessing you think this because of money? Guards are getting paid these days too. Glenn would most likely be top 5 guards when his contract came up. He would get paid.
  12. This really may be the biggest mistake of his 'career'!
  13. I told a few people that whoever won the Bills/Tenn game was going to the SB. I thought they were the two best teams in the AFC that year. I had no clue who was going to win.
  14. .Same thing was said about Manning the first 7 years of his career.
  15. Ha! He finds a way to say the worse things ever, And his QB evaluation is well documented to be worse than a blind donkey.
  16. He had that great hit on the big RB for the Giants. Meeks got abused once on an over the middle pass. He looked a little out of place. Preseason is all about getting better.
  17. EJ is the Bills QB for the next 2 years unless something crazy happens with a new owner. Get behind the kid and cheer him on. This game and the four other meaningless games are a great time for EJ to make mistakes. It is up to Hackett and the rest of the staff to work with EJ and help him improve through out the year.
  18. If they do not make the playoffs he is gone. Blank is not a guy to sit on his hands. He has a new stadium being built and realizes he needs a winner to sell those seats. the 'stick with a coach' only lasts one more season after a poor season. Smith is a decent coach but honestly has made some very questionable calls that have cost him more than a few games. Last year was not totally his fault. Injuries killed the Falcons. People are already talking about it. Smith has changed Cords already once. At some point the buck stops with him.
  19. He is gone if the Falcons do not make the playoffs.
  20. Nailed it. At this point in his career it warranted. There are guys at every level who can play in practice and not during the game. Hogan appears like that guy.
  21. Thank you both for answering my question. I appreciate that. i also really hope Hackett does as you both suggest. The glaring thing that stands out to me is the OC for both of those offenses. Gilbride and Payton are two of the better OC in the game over the past 15 years. Heck the last time the Bills offense looked good Gilbride was calling plays. ha
  22. The GM has stated he 'loves' Brown. With the signing of this deal it shows a desire to keep and respect for Jackson. How are the Bills are going to use Brown, Jackson, and Spiller? I am seriously asking how you see the three backs playing in the system? Touches?Role?
  23. Another indication that Spiller's days are numbered. Congrats to Fred, surely he will retire a Bill. Hope they send him out with a playoff win or two!
  24. I could see the Raiders moving to S.A. while a deal gets done and stadium built in LA. I wonder if Davis is a wildcard like the old man was? Al Davis would have totally pulled a move like this.
