Bills Cornerbacks are terrible.
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Robey should of gone over the top of the pick not underneath it. I am sure Robey will get coached up for this mistake. You give the receiver the 4 yard out, you dont give him the 40 yard seam route. Great call and read by Rivers and his WR. Overall i was disappointed in the CB and secondary play. Guys were out of position early and often. Also Schwartz should of been bringing more heat earlier on in the game. By the time the Bills dialed up blitzes the game was over. You can not let a great QB get comfortable like Rivers was, no secondary will look good. Bringing the front four and one other guy from different points on the line would of helped shake Rivers. Schwartz took the Wanny approach for 3 quarters. -
Question...for those what have watched each game
atlbillsfan1975 replied to TheBackupQB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ regressed yesterday. His pocket awareness was suspect. On the sack where he fumbled but they got it back he actually spun away from the defender but then headed right back into him. Crazy. We are going to see two good games and one bad game from EJ this year i bet. Bills will have a great shot at victories when EJ plays good and will almost certainly lose when EJ plays bad. Is it all EJ's fault or credit? Not really, but it is what will happen. The entire team yesterday except for a few guys looked ready to play. -
Hackett looks like he has improved

Hackett is still learning which is very frustrating to me. I think he is improving. Today most of the problems were in execution and D coaching. -
After We Crush San Diego
atlbillsfan1975 replied to You herd it hear last's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It really all depends. Right now you have a Chicago team that beat San Fran in San Fran and a Miami team that beat N.E at home as the Bill's wins. San Diego beat Seattle who up to last Sunday looked like the second coming of the 85 Bears. Lets see what happens this week. Regardless i am not getting to excited after 3 weeks, been there in 2008 and 2011. -
Maybe the Curse is now passed on to them...

not going to happen but sure if the Bills blow out the Chargers i will begin to buy in more. Each win i will believe more and more. For now my excitement does not really start until the Bills are maybe like 9-4 and tied for first. Then i will really put my entire heart into it and let them break it again! ha -

That picture looks old as hell, did he just post it today? If so, sour grapes anyone? -

He most likely will develope arthritis at some point in his life. However it will not be for many years. After reading more then a few articles it really does not sound like a knee issue. The guy played every game AND practice in college since he had the surgery. CK started to look bad in Bama's bowl game and to be honest has not looked right since- combine and with the Bills. Hopefully he can pull it together and reach his potential. It would be great if CK can turn into one of the starting guards next season and the Bills could move on from Pears or Williams. -
How will Henderson hold up this week against Wake?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good read and pictures. Henderson did ok against Wake kudos to the coaches for not leaving Henderson alone with Wake to often. -
Power rankings thread- post them here

I think they are entertaining to look at and provide great conversation when you see abnormalities, but i am glad the NFL is not like college football. I also think people really would like the Bills to be relevant again. In 2011 when they started 5-1 a lot of people were jumping on the bandwagon. It will happen again. Our country likes seeing a team turn it around, helps them see there is hope. -
Weekly "Ref's for Bills game" thread
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could see this being true. in the day of data being so easy to obtain. I could see a team studying a crew and seeing they have a high rate of PI calls but not as many defensive holdings, for example. You can jam your guy at the line for longer but hands off when the ball is in the air type of thing. Lord knows every crew is calling the hands to the face by linemen this year. I saw that call more times last week then i did all of last year it seemed. -

atlbillsfan1975 replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Henderson is a rookie. I expect him to win some and lose some. Hopefully Henderson is watching a bunch of tape on himself and Wake and all the Phins DE's to see tendencies and thus prepare. Henderson has all the talent to be a beast, but Oline is also a position that takes a lot of mental preparation to be great at. If Henderson begins to struggle the coaches will need to give him a little help from a TE or RB 'chipping'. I get so frustrated when i see a DE dominate an tackle and the coaches do nothing to help stop it. Gailey was notorious for this. It is like watching a pitcher getting shelled in baseball. Either pull the Lineman or give him some help...Or warm up your backup QB. -
That is awesome. I am sure you are using Canadian counting. Numbers like that will keep the Bills in Buffalo for a long long time.

I have been the biggest 'Hackett is in over his head' critic. He is learning, personally i do not think the NFL is a place to learn how to be an OC, you should be ready when you get the job. It is what it is. If it means Hackett progress' great! As other have mentioned, execution was a bigger issue yesterday. EJ needs work on the read option. I am fine with players needing to learn! Also on that one screen play to Freddie in the first half if the Oline man makes the block on the corner that play is maybe a TD but definitely an explosive play for a big gain. Here is to hoping that Hackett and everyone over at OBD enjoyed the win and builds on it for next Sunday against what looks like a tough Miami team!

I can just see Marrone and Hackett watching the Seahawks game and saying 'look at how they use Percy Harvin'...a light bulb going on over Hacketts head but Marrone says 'man i wish we had a guy like that'! To the OP. I never understood the entire 'do not show any plays in the preseason' mentality. I mean why not practice all your plays? If you are telling me you are saving them for the first game, great! We will 'win' the first half of the first game. The element of surprise works to some degree but teams adjust every series and at half. The fact that we saw pretty much the same offense as last year during preseason, should clue everyone in to what we are going to see this year.

Marrone yells to Russ "go ahead and fire me"
atlbillsfan1975 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man come on. I know you want the Bills to win this year just like i do. But do you honestly think Marrone is a good coach? if so tell me what makes you believe that? No excuses just reasons why he is good and capable? It was a bad bad hire and things like this are why it was. Not to mention Marrone's decision to not have a qb coach AND an oc. Sorry that right there tells me all i need to know about how in over his head he is. Marrone really thought Hackett could handle both responsibilities with a ROOKIE qb. Jeesh. You guys keep thinking Marrone is not a problem. I will see you at the end of the season and ask you how you feel. Btw i was one of the first guys on here to point out how in over his head Hackett was. The fact that Marrone brought in 2 coaches to prop up Hackett shows i was not that far off. I want to be wrong, really i do. i want the Bills to go to the SB and win heck even just watch meaningful football late in December would be amazing! I have little confidence in this staff to get the best out of the players. -

atlbillsfan1975 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, just open your eyes. Marrone is in over his head, Hackett stinks. Schwartz will be interim HC after the bye. Marrone was a horrible hire and he proves it more and more. -
Florio on the Orton Head Scratcher

I am not doubting this but where was it reported? IF this is true and i mean that the reports are accurate then this stinks. However if these are the same Vets who endorsed Fitz, well...maybe they should stick to playing not scouting. -
Raiders to start Carr
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
stopped reading right there. SB champions last preseason game on a short week with nothing to prove. -
Respectfully disagree with this. Baltimore finished 8-8 and won 4 of their last 5 the season before their SB year in 2000. I actually picked them to win the SB with a friend of mine. The Bills this year look bad. I have thought they could win games and make the playoffs each of the last 14 seasons. This year i have no hope, i will watch, but do not expect much. So who knows maybe this will be there year... worse case 4-12, best case 11-5 and win AFC East and make it to championship game against Denver.

I could not agree more with Eric Wood. Everyone needs to call out ESPN. Because they are so hungry for ratings they are ruining a person's dreams. Shame on the media for being such hypocrites. Much of the media could care less any more about what journalism should be but care more about ratings and personal glory...sad for sure.
