  1. He also is not in a hurry to get into camp and sweat his you know what off. We see this with a lot of vets, stall to miss the first part of camp that is the most tedious.
  2. I wonder if the reason the Bills have not let Kromer go is more about the future. IF Roman comes in and turns the O around he may get head coaching consideration. It would be nice to already have a successor on staff for OC, Kromer.
  3. College football is so amazing. I love the NFL but college is every bit of not more exciting than pro. The Bills are my favorite team and no college team elicits the same emotions as Buffalo, but college is more entertaining than pro as a whole. Not to mention the tailgate experience in the south on game days is on par with any pregame experience anywhere. Go to the Grove at Ole Miss or any other SEC school before you tell me otherwise.
  4. He is not coaching for the Bills this year or ever most likely. Stinks, but time to hope the Assistant can step up. He saw what not to do under Marrone! Just do the opposite Costanza
  5. I think you call it like you are afraid it is. Stop living In the past my friend. This is a new era in The Franchise. Enjoy the present and let the future develope.
  6. I think the point the poster was trying to make is that there are some very intelligent people working for the Bills. People who this is there main profession and understand things about salary caps way more than we do. These same people that work for the Bills have a plan. I am willing to enjoy this year and let the guys in the FO keep our good players. I also trust that they will find us some young talent and that our coaches will coach them up. Having said all that, of course you lose some players to FA. Nature of the beast. Next Man Up.
  7. Sent the OL coaches. To me Rex already knows enough on the character stuff from his contacts with Clemson. The Oline guys probably looking for what shape is he in etc... The Bills probably have a 'if he is available for X pick we will grab him', thought process. It is most likely a sixth.
  8. I think Mettenberger is better than Cousins is. Mettenberger had all the tools but he was very immature maybe still is a bit. He was kicked off the UGA team and transferred to LSU. Finally started to put it all together his junior season. Injured his knee. My point is there is a story to tell plus the Titans can parade him out in preseason. If Mariotta gets hurts Mettenbereger can come in and probably look pretty good for a few games. IF the Titans manage it well they can spin it into a decent trade for themselves.
  9. Two weeks ago I put $20 on the Bills to win the SB. I got 30/1 odds. This was at the Wynn. It also was to win the SB not just the AFC. The guy at the window told me that in a matter of a month Buffalo had gone down from 60/1.
  10. Is that in order?I love Thurman but I think even he would tell you OJ was better than him.
  11. The Titans will parlay Mettenberger into a 2 or third rounder in a year or two. Matt Schaub comes to mind.
  12. What I got was that Kim wants someone who wants to be in Buffalo. I think it is going to take a coach with a lot of courage and tenacity to gets Buffalo back to its rightful place as kings of the AFC. Rex had the personality to do it. With Everyone on the same page the future looks bright.
  13. Shoot how many games did our Bills get 'lucky' in during the SB years?I get what you are saying but you also have to be in position to be the beneficiary of 'luck'.
  14. Ryan is way underrated I believe for a good stretch no QB had more 4th quarter or OT wins than Ryan. Puts up good numbers and is cool under pressure. If he had a D and/or a running game...well he would not be underrated.
  15. I am glad you think so. To me they scream ultimate game manager. His stats for the last 3 season show he is exactly what we want EJ to be. Wilson has never attempted 40 passes in a game. He has his most success when he attempts less than 30 passes. I do not buy him as a franchise passer or the guy i want leading my team at QB because i have to pay him $20mil+ a season that inhibits me from spending in other areas to compensate for his deficiencies. Seattle will be the next Baltimore. Sign your QB to a huge deal and suffer everywhere else on the field.
  16. The same way you and anyone who thinks Wilson is better than his stats show, I just know.
  17. Point is i do not see Wilson as the type of QB worth spending that kind of money on. The Seahawks will never win the NFC again once Wilson signs that big deal and they can not sign the defensive guys they need. You think Flacco and the Ravens will be in the SB again? Give them what Wilson has and they would have 2 SB championships, not one and one they p*ssed away at the 2 yard line.
  18. We as Bills fans know what Watkins is because we witnessed flashes of it last year. I do not think a lot of other fans regard him as high as we do. I also think a lot of columnists and sports writers are waiting to see him put up a couple of big games. Personally i like the 'no love' for Sammy right now. Let him go out there and show everyone what he is. If he is healthy i do not care who his QB is, Sammy will be the impact guy for the Bills.
  19. He is good. But he is not who i would look to to start a franchise with. His rushing is nice but as the NFL has shown rushing for a QB is not something that can be done very long. I also factored in that if he was your starting QB that you started your franchise with you would have to pay him accordingly. Therefore your D will suffer some for sure.
  20. Rodgers Luck Ryan Roethlisberger Rivers Age and ability. No thanks to R Wilson. Let's see him have to carry his team, not lend a hand. All five of those guys have been the main reason their teams have had success. Can we say the same about Wilson?
  21. It is a cheap shot, but did you watch the SB? RW is a solid QB playing for the perfect HC with a great D and run game. As we have seen even the great ones can look bad when asked to carry more than their fair share of the load. Look at Brees last year. To think RW is a shoe in to be a Rodgers or Brady if he throws 10-15 more times a game is a stretch.
  22. Two thingsI actually saw that Ravens team coming and told a buddy of mine before the 2000 season to take them as his SB pick. He didn't and to this day always asks me who I like. I haven't been right since. I had the privilege of being In NO for the Bears Pats Super Bowl. Sitting in the Superdome was awesome as a young man. The 85 Bears were more like movie stars than football players. That D was nasty, they told you they were going to kick the crap out of you and then they did. I hope our bills D plays with that kind of swagger and backs it up, I have some confidence they will swing a Ryan is at the helm again.
  23. i don't see Wilson leaving. I also don't see Carrol giving in that easily. It should be interesting to see which side if not both cave. At some point some team is going to let an 'elite' QB walk.
  24. I think Stevie puts up very good numbers with Rivers. I also think he has a bad drop at a crucial time. Basically the Stevie we saw in Buffalo will return in SD.
  25. I really hope Peyton knows when to hang them up. He didn't have it the last 6 weeks of the season last year. Supposedly it was a leg injury, but it begs the question 'what will it be this year'? At his age Peyton will not heal quickly from any injury and he is more prone to them. He missed his window to get one more. Elway knows that Peyton does not even have left what he did those last two years with Davis running behind him.
