Rob Ryan joining Bills staff
atlbillsfan1975 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rob has not been great at DC. What about as a position coach? Working with family is tough in any setting. Throw In the high stakes of the NFL and this seems like it could go very wrong. My knee jerk reaction is Rex is like 'F' it. If I have one more year to be a HC I am going to have my brother with me. Rob gets a job and Rex has one guy he knows he can trust w him. -
The Bills would of won today. :(

AFC Wildcard game 2: Steelers at Bengals
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched the game with my buddy who is a diehard Bengals fan. My heart went out to him when Cincy fumbled that last time. I knew what was coming. Both teams played very dirty and it was not a game where sportsman like conduct was regularly displayed. I agree Lewis has to go at this point. The steelers were just as out of control, however Tomlin gets a pass because they won and he has a ring. -
Stephon Gilmore: "I Know I’m an Elite Corner."
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What constitutes 'elite' status? Who does Gilmore view as also being In that echelon of players? Gilmore is very good, he is not 'shut down' corner status from what I have seen. I don't think OC's or QB's game plan around him, do you guys? -
Congratulations to w/e team hires Hue Jackson
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was a lot of talk about Marrone last year too. I hope Jackson gets a shot. He sounds like a good guy who truly enjoys working with young men making them better at football and life. -
Tyrod Taylor Confidence Meter
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was the difference maker in the Tenn. game. Taylor turned it on in the 4th and lead the Bills to victory. There is not one game i can say 'Taylor is the reason we lost that game'. There were some games we played way to conservatively and thus i think Taylor held back. I hope that Taylor and Roman continue developing the passing game. One that includes heavy doses of Watkins and Clay. Clay will be huge next year if healthy. -
Bills don't re-sign Ron Brooks
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Never could become a starter, just like at LSU. He has all the makings to be a good nickel corner, but seems the light never came on. Good luck, keep chasing the dream. You got someplace 99% of all football players never get too. -
PFF Ranking of 2015 NFL Starting QBs
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe not yet. If you are a Bills fan hope he is and stop tying be the guy who can say 'I told you so' if he fails. Tyrod is the best QB the Bills have had since Bledsoe best year. Tyrod has things to improve, middle of the field routes and moving around in the pocket to find passing lanes. I like what I see so far and you should too. -
give it sometime. jim wasn't a great leader his first few years in the league. He needed to learn a little humility and mature. Taylor needs more experience and i think the more he is the starter the more he will fill a leadership role. TT wants it more than anything in the world. you can see it from TT.

Bills Plan to keep 3 kickers next year
atlbillsfan1975 replied to jumbalaya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Letting their emotions getting the best of them? Maybe some are frustrated that the NFL voted to make their job harder? PAT's were an automatic, not so much anymore. -
Anyone who thinks the Jets are in better shape than the Bills are just flat wrong. Bills beat them twice and when it counted the most for the Jets. So all this Bowles is a better coach, wrong. He couldn't get his team past a Bills team with key injuries all over the place. Fitz is a better QB, wrong, 3 ints in the 4th qt. That was who Fitz is. Gailey is a better OC, wrong. Roman got the most out of an injury riddled O. Gailey had pretty much his entire opening day team available to him.

Who thinks the team will play hard tomorrow?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was a big win. Rex didn't lose the locker room. Taylor and Sammie getting better together. Oh, and all you Bowles, Gailey, Fitz guys, there you go. They couldn't beat a Bills team missing guys all over the place. -
Who thinks the team will play hard tomorrow?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hasn't it been the Buffalo way for the last 16 years to pile up meaningless wins? J/k I want the Bills to win today, and actually want to see how they play. I think it says a lot about Rex today. We know 1 player isn't happy but I want to see if there are more malcontents. The Bills can and should beat the Jets today all things equal. -
Marrone/Schwartz to Miami? Nope. Gase it is.
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The record will not be as good this year as last, but Rex will have a better first season in Buffalo than Marrone did. I think both of those scenarios are comparing apples to oranges. I could argue with all that new 'superior' talent comes time to gel. From my years of watching sports more times than not year two brings the biggest growth area when a lot of new pieces are added. -
Is Mario playing tomorrow or sitting?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to TAinLack.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you have to ask Mario why he is acting the way he is now. he isn't acting very professional. -
Is Mario playing tomorrow or sitting?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to TAinLack.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is now a pattern with MW. Forget who the coaches are, he quit. Rex doesn't have to start him, and can play him sparingly. Let MW show his true colors and refuse to play if he doesn't start. -
Guess where Mario lands thread...

That was a big blow with there first rounder going down in preseason. -

I could see Atlanta. They are in desperate need of a pass rusher, they have not had one since Abraham. -
McKelvin willing to play Safety & take pay cut
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leonard is more 'with it' asleep than McKelvin is wide awake on game day. I always have liked McKelvin as a competitor i have also always disliked his inability to grasp certain fundamentals. As safety McKelvin could keep the game in front of him more times than not. He is still very fast. Not sure if Rex's D is suited for a center field type ball hawker over the top? McKelvin is every bit as fast as Reed was in Baltimore but not nearly as physical. -
I think that number is a little high. Of that 20 that could mean replacing 9 starters, I don't see that. Maybe 12-15 not back and replacing 5 starters sounds more reasonable. The owners just said they like the GM and Coach. The GM and Coach say they like working together. The GM brought in the vast majority of this talent or was here while it was assembled.

a year of continuity may be a good thing. Whaley will find a few LB's who will suit Rex's system in the off season, whether by draft or FA. Whaley will work hard at getting the guys signed the Bills want back. under Whaley's watch i can not think of one Bill's FA that got away that i really miss. Get rid of the malcontent players and fill back in with guys that want to be here and play for Rex and his system on D. Let Roman keep working with Tyrod. If not in the playoffs in 2016, then i think we hear the Pegulas singing a new tune.
