  1. I go back and forth when it comes to defensive players and what I think Beane will do. In one regard, history says they won’t draft a DB high, however Beane has shown he will adjust his philosophy. The main reasons he might go DB higher is because of Poyer and White, not to mention your CB2 for the last 3 seasons leaving.
  2. I wonder if one of the vet available options Beane likes sign between now and the draft. It’s a risk/reward game for the player. If you like Buffalo but want more money, you can wait till after the draft and IF Buffalo didn’t find a CB they valued maybe you get the extra million a year. Or the alternative happens, Bills get a player or two they like in the draft and stop calling.
  3. Anytime someone randomly quoted a TLC song I think of the movie The Other Guys with Wahlberg and Ferrel. Pretty funny movie. Draft no for me in the first round is Hall or any RB this year. None are dynamic and worth a first. I wouldn’t mind IOL but not Linderbaum, although he is a wrestler from Iowa, something McD may like; his size is a concern. Small guy with small arms.
  4. We can agree to disagree. For me he is the definition of play for pay. Which is fine, I get it. He doesn’t strike me as a guy with a bunch of heart or a team first mentality. I do think you can look out for your financial interests while also giving max effort and being a good teammate. To my point, has Gilmore ever been a team captain anywhere? I couldn’t find that info after just searching.
  5. I am a UGA fan and Pickens showed flashes, but between injuries, bad QB play, and other things he never got to reach his potential. One things that is slightly concerning is his route running. At UGA he basically ran fly patterns. I wouldn’t worry about his speed, he has plenty of game speed.
  6. Gilmore seems to play well the first year of a contract. After that, good luck.
  7. Joe talked about this on LockedOn Bills last month. I could see the Bills doing something like this for a few reasons: Bills have spent multiple picks at the same position in drafts before. McD D doesn’t seem to overly value CB 2. Having said that, drafting a CB high now (1-3 rounds) that can turn into your CB 1 in a couple of years, could help with cap management.
  8. I think he has his head someplace, not sure it’s the sand.
  9. If that TE turns out to be the next Kelce, then yes. Not to mention look at the production the Bills have gotten from their last three second round picks so far.
  10. They didn’t back up a truck. Diggs salary is fair now and will be a value in 2 years from now.
  11. I bet fans said this every time teams and games got added.
  12. It’s really no point discussing if you believe everything was fine and Diggs was happy and going to play the next two years at his previous contracts rate. I stick by my comparison and believe it does help my case. You have your opinion I have mine. I will choose to believe the signing will workout based on facts I have, you have your own facts influencing your beliefs. All good.
  13. I think maybe 1 out of 10 people in media liked the Allen pick initially. I am not a fan of McShay, just seems like ESPN tried to force him onto the scene to replace Kiper. Problem is, Kiper is better and more likable. That aside, I’d like this draft.
  14. Since you are a data scientist, can you say that Jones could get the ball to that spot on the field throwing at a lower angle OR would that cause the ball to land at a different location?
  15. He can’t get it there throwing it at a lower angle, that’s the point.
  16. Comparing Julio Jones to Diggs is comparing apples to oranges. If you want to find a comp for Diggs Go look at Marvin Harrison’s production after 30. Diggs and Harrison are very similar in body styles and play. Diggs takes great care of himself, loves the game, and loves his team. I think Diggs will be playing at the same level for the next 4 years. Freak injuries occur, but those happen to 22 year olds too.
  17. I am not debating that with you but there is a certain Pats fan on here who will.
  18. @PatsFanNH will not like this blatant evidence. I’m sure he will stick to his guns that Belichick wants McCorkle over Allen. All kidding aside, this is exactly why guys like Jones and Fitz have the ceiling they do. They just don’t have the arm.
  19. Happy Birthday! Love seeing the Marietta, Ga in the tweet! Lived there for years.
  20. I think we will see one middle level Vet signing for that $3-4 mil range. I say this because I think Beane really likes to draft for value over need. Right now it is very difficult to say there is not a need at CB.
  21. Diggs should be productive for at least the next five seasons. Marvin Harrison is a good comparison for Diggs as far as body and style of play. Harrison was very productive through age 34.
  22. Never gonna happen regarding Jones. McDermott getting the Bills to the playoffs in 2017 is way more impressive than Belichick spending the most money in FA last year and not being competitive once in the playoffs.
  23. This is kind of how I feel. Could the Bills be thinking if they have better CB play they can pass on overpaying for Poyer?
  24. Belichick is celebrated as the greatest coach ever by many. He is showing he is an average coach who benefited from a great QB.
  25. This is a good move, like to see the details, I’m betting in three years the deal becomes easy to move on from or to trade Diggs. This could line up nicely if Davis turns into a great receiver too.
