Bills vs. Raiders Postgame - Well That Sucked
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did anyone ask why Rex didn't call a timeout in the first half to avoid the delay of game penalty? Just silly. You have three timeouts and let the play clock run out. That showed he is disorganized. I am now on board with new coach and new QB. Tyrod just doesn't see the field. To have a wide open Watkins and not hit him is inexcusable. Your first read should always be Watkins!!!! In particular on a day like today w no Clay or Woods! -
Also the Bills red zone D has got to force FG tries for Oakland. Oakland will move the ball between the 20's. Rex has said the D needs to and will improve inside the 20. Time to see it.26-24 Bills. We are due. I don't think this will be a trap game for Oakland. If our guys stay healthy we can run the ball on them. TT will need to use his legs a bunch. I'm looking for 250-300 yds rushing for a Bills win.

We Should Pick Up the Option on Tyrod No Matter What
atlbillsfan1975 replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The cap hit is most important for TT contract, in regards to funds available for other contracts. Correct me if I am wrong. With Taylor's cap hit being in the mid teens, this will provide the Bills the opportunity to sign quality FA's like they did this season. Whaley has proven he can draft decently ( I think very well). TT contract allows for a more complete team to be assembled. Maybe this is Whaleys plan. Then Whaley finds the next Prescott or Wilson in the 2018 draft and the Bills win 2 out of 3 Superbowls starting in 2019! -
Its Tuesday Night. Sleep on it.

Thank you OP for contributing useful content. Of that list there are about 6-7 names of quarterbacks that I wouldn't want over TT, because to me they do not provide the 'it' factor. The game winning clutch mentality. I would take Flaco before so many of those others. Flaco did it, put his team on his back and went on a great playoff and Super Bowl run. I think another piece to that stat you provided OP is when during the game and where on the field they occur. Those kind of posts are cool. Thank you. -
Goodwin doing slants equals no Goodwin. Fast but not durable.

True/False on Taylor & Offense
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yesterday was the first time I thought to myself Taylor reminds me of Vick. Taylor showed no touch when trying to hit a RB five yards down field. Taylor showed poor pocket awareness at times. Then Taylor would make an incredible run showing his speed. Taylor would also come back with just enough good passes to make you say ' why can't he do that all the time'? Vick was good enough to take teams to the playoffs. I think Taylor has much better surrounding cast then Vick did. Here's hoping! -
Not too nice of an article on Tyrod Taylor

I could poke holes in every player you named. After today I am getting annoyed with Taylor playing scared. Not sure where it is coming from. Could it be Taylor is being coached w a 'just don't lose the game' mentality? Or is Taylor not capable? -
Jordan Mills on Khalil Mack...God help us...
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. At some point the OC for Denver has to do something to help the RT. I hope our coaching staff will not try to leave Mills on an island with Mack. -
Wow, Watkins healthy and 3 targets......
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watkins looked good in a limited role. Let's hope Robert Woods is back next week. It would be nice to hit the Raiders with a high power run game and a complete arsenal of receivers. -
The optimistic side is that Oaklands D isn't nearly as good as Jax or Cinci. The Bills just played two very good front sevens , and won both. It will take a complete game by the Bills to beat Oakland. Oh and TT looked like crap today overall. Just so you don't confuse me with a blind Bills loyalist.

OR Taylor is getting game experience and developing. What QB over the last 5 years has come out of college and been awesome from day one as a starter? -

This is the biggest crock of balogna. Isn't Schefters agent also Marrones? Try again you losers! -
I think the Bills have Kujo they can resign as a back up LT. Due to the drafts pay scale it is much less expensive to draft a starter at any position than get one in FA.

Get Kirk Cousins in the offseason.

I am with on the indecision when it comes to Taylor. I say sign a RT in FA that will be your starter and draft a day one starter talent at WR. Keep Lynn on, bring back the talent that has shown progress this year. Give the crew one more year. Now if the Bills finish 8-8 and 3 of these final loss' are the Miami Dolphin first game type, well I may sing a different tune. I want to believe we are watching a QB develop. I don't believe you get the same experience being a back up as you do being the actual starter. Taylor is in his second season with two different OC's. Points to be considered heavily. -
i think when you look at the Value for position you might consider signing a FA for RT and saving your first and second round picks for other more expensive positions. Look at the Ryan Schraeder RT deal in Atlanta. 5 years for $33 million with $12 million guaranteed . Schraeder has been a very good RT. Personally I would like to see RT as the number one FA pick up, provided we have some options. This will go a long ways to helping Miller feel even more comfortable in his assignments. I look to the Falcons for another example. Alex Mack was the Falcons big FA signing at center. There is a direct correlation between the season Matt Ryan is having at QB and the fact he has an excellent center. Mack has helped solidify the middle of the line. Save rounds 1 and 2 in the draft for defensive backfield help and WR help. Two positions that are far more costly than RT in FA. We have discussed the type of deal R Woods is going to get to be a number 2 WR and the type of money a CB like Gilmore will get. Safety is also a huge need. All three of those positions are more expensive than RT in FA I believe.
-
Miller is everything we could of hoped for in a third round pick. Started from day one. Miller has progressed in his second year, this is not always the case. The fact that the Bills can use the draft or FA to settle the RT position and have 5 good to great Olinemen says Whaley is doing something right.

Get Kirk Cousins in the offseason.
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is irrelevant. Cousins is not leaving Washington. As someone else stated Garopollo is interesting if Whaley decides to move on from Taylor. I doubt Whaley will move on from Taylor. These next 6 games will go a long way in deciding Taylors future. -

Houston also stepped up and offered him an extension with raises totaling $10 mil I believe. If Herman is still interested in hearing what other teams have to offer, it doesn't look good for him returning to Houston.
