Chiefs WR coach = Bills QB coach
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The theme for McDermott has been surround himself with experienced coaches has had prior knowledge of working with. Let's hope it translates into a great working relationship which in turns means a wel coached team that wins games. -
Team with the most cast offs in the Super Bowl???

Gabriel was cut by Cleveland and has excelled in Atlanta. Gabriel is everything the Bills wish Goodwin could be. Some of this is timing and some is culture. -
Falcons..Put up or shut up
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Samwell Tarly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Falcons have a real shot at it. They have a ton of weapons on the offensive side of the ball. If anyone can figure out how to stop it , Belichik is the one. The Falcons D has been playing very opportunistic football for the past 2 months. Take away margin has been huge in the Falcons favor. The only thing that can stop Atlanta is itself. I am hoping everyone behaves themselves over the next two weeks, stays focused and ready to play. No night before the game arrests like in '98. Matt Ryan needs to play within himself. Ryan has Freeman and Coleman and a strong o line to pound it if BB tries some funky fronts. It is going to be a very good game i think. I could see it being close and low scoring for the first half, neither team getting over 15 points. -
What does that mean?

Bill Belichik with two weeks is scarry. Belichik will try and find the Falcons center point and take it away. I just don't know if the Falcons have one player you can key on. Besides Matt Ryan there is not one indespensable player on O. Julio is good, but so his Sanu, Gabriel, Robinson, Coleman, Freeman, and the TE's. The game will be close. I don't see the Falcons getting blown out. Quinn needs to reach out to his friends on Seattle for some tips. I want to see how the line moves over the next week.

Awesome! So pumped for the Falcons and the city. Atlanta has a good shot at to beat the Pats because they do so much great. Give BB two weeks though and he is dangerous. -
I don't want to say I started this, but...

The Falcons are playing as good of football as anyone right now. Matt Ryan will be the MVP. Ryan's Weapons on O- Julio , Sanu, Gabriel(what we hoped Goodwin could be), Robinson, Freeman, Coleman, and the kid Hooper at TE has come on. Alex Mac was the best FA signing last year. Mack solidified the O line and has made LeVitre look like he did in Buffalo. The D has come together and played average to good football over the last 5 games. This is all a team needs on one side of the ball when the other is putting up historic numbers. Beasley, Freeny are providing pass rush. The D is playing that fast fly around make a play D. A Seattle light D. Falcons are missing a couple of pieces but they are getting there. Give it a year and this unit could be close to the O side. Scary thought. Matt Bryant has been money in the Dome. The Falcons have as good a shot as any of the othe 3 teams of winning it all. Two hottest teams will be playing in ATL this weekend. It will be a great game to watch. Green Bay always has a shot with Rodgers. I felt better about Atl going to Dallas. I watched Dallas get pressure on Rodgers, Atl can and needs to all day. Why the hate on Ryan? People said the same things about P. Manning till he won one. I know, because I was one of them. Ryan is a very controlled emotions guy. As far as anyone left 'deserving' to win it , I'd say Ryan is the best candididate. Name me one personal blemish on Ryan? If you don't like the guy, ask yourself why? Maybe that says more about you than him. People bag on Atl fans and the teams all the time. It is annoying really. If you lived in Atl you would understand. This city is a fairly new city. It is a melting pot that exploded in the 80's and 90's. It is still growing so fast. The transplants brought the allegiance to their old city's team with them. I am seeing a lot more second generation Atliens becoming true Falcons fans and Hawks fans. Braves are solid and have been for a long time. Soon enough the talking heads at ESPN like Linda Cohn(still think she looks great) will have to pick on another city. -
Olsens resume is not inspiring . He has never been to the playoffs as an OC or QB coach over that past 16 years. As far as I went back. Him and the Bills are due? This has me fearing what we Bills fans have watched for years. We don't get good play from both sides of the ball. You either have to be a top 5 offense with a mediocre D to have success, ala the Falcons. Having a great D with a bad offense just doesn't work. Ask the Texans.

Is our OC still in playoffs?

I was wondering the same thing. I think our Cord is or recently was a coach in the playoffs. We will find out soon who he is. -

This! The passing game has been fantastic in Atlanta this year. I am just not sure how much you can attribute that to Morris. Nagy seems like the right choice. He gets out from under Reed's shadow. Let's hope Nagy is the pick and he has learned how to coach like Reed. -
Sorry, but I'm still going to miss Hogan

The passes he caught last night were terrible. Brady kept floating the ball up and for some insane reason the Texans couldn't get to it. -
Three Hours of Misery - Patriots Texans Playoff
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure Or Fitz or Sanchez. That was NE's 'bad' game. They were ill prepared and unfocused and they still won, big. Unfortunately Brock is the worst starting QB in the league. Brock couldn't even feed off the momentum and turn it into a good night. We haven't had a good QB since Kelly, at least we have had one. Poor Texan fans. Saturday night game, relatively good conditions for January and you guys have empty seats? More reason to dislike the bandwagon fans of NE. -
Steelers at KC playoff game moved to 8:20pm Sunday
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Come to Atl!Seriously though, ice is next to impossible to get around on. This game should mean better ratings. Hopefully next year the NFL has learned its lesson and will put the weeks best matchups in the primetime spots. Thursday night, Sunday Night and Monday night. -
Lazy, unmotivated, big mouth players are in Big Trouble
atlbillsfan1975 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's give the new coach and his staff some time to work with the players. I can also tell you that this generation 'millennial' is different. McD will have to connect w them. He can be tough, he just has to be fair. Stay consistent with his message. A lot of these attitude problems became big issues under Rex. Rex had very little accountability standards it appeared. I hope McD doesn't get caught up w the attitudes. He instead finds guys who can play and buy in to his message. That will make the Bills relevant again. -

Go with the over because NE will hang 42 on Houston. -

ZBS? Good catch. The so called experts gave Atl some grief over the Neal pick. I think you do see the fruits of the coach and FO all on the same page. Oh and last Vic Beasley was atrocious. Leads the league in sacks this year. Food for thought for some posters. Sometimes it takes a season or two for a player to come around. -

OC has already been picked. Once KC loses we will find out who it is. -

One of the biggest differences this year vs last year is O line play. Alex Mack solidified the middle. Also the line started every game together. -

Beat me to it! Falcons win by 10+. New England wins by at least 14. Steelers win. Dallas wins. -
New LB coach Bob Babich and the LB crew
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Alexander should not be counted on as a starter. Last year was great but good teams move on. If Alexander wants to come back as a ST player and a backup fine. Ragland will be fine. I liked the way Z. Brown played up until the snow games. LB is the easiest position to find guys. Not worried about it to much. -
Interesting, the Bills never wanted McCoy maybe? It was almost like McD and the Bills tried to say we don't want McCoy here. why else hire the OL coach before you officially hire the OC?

McDermott in regards to Tyrod
atlbillsfan1975 replied to TallskiWallski83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sounds like to classy people who are straight shooters. We know TT is that, and from all accounts it appears McD is too. To me this is more about how McD is the right guy for the job. McD is a no non sense no hyperbole guy. The anti Rex. Now win a SB !
