  1. The Chiefs seem like that team that has a lot go right for them for the last 3 years. History shows that does not last. Here is to hoping that this time next year the Bills will have the number one overall pick and it has nothing to do with our record. It is also going to make Sundays more fun. I can cheer for the Chiefs to lose.
  2. Solid need pick. Hope he turns into a more consistent CB then we have had in some time.
  3. Strongly disagree about Emmitt Smith. Smith played behind the greatest O line ever. Smith's greatest attribute was his durability. Smith was good, but not even in the same league as OJ. Barry Sanders was a better back than Thomas and Smith.
  4. I think you are on point with your observation. I also think we do need a day one starter at WR opposite Sammy. A guy that can get open or that can make a play while covered. This would go a long way in helping Clay and McCoy. Not to mention Taylor(or whom ever).
  5. Atl doesn't have a good history with being a good team back to back years.
  6. Does anything Buffalo does on draft day 'shock' you? If you are a fan over 35 and have watched enough drafts, then you know to prepare for the unexpected.
  7. Totally different approach than Rex. Everything isn't done in order to draw attention. it is done because it is the right thing to do.
  8. The Bills will always stink until they don't. Guessing when that will be is a fool's errand. Even more so in April.
  9. LB's has turned into finding the right athlete to fit your system. Brown looked like he was that, but he also showed flaws last years. I am not a proponent for over paying LB's. Develop raw talent and then let it walk and repeat. The 'special' ones you pay. Brown is not that.
  10. I was 23 and watched this game with a girlfriend. I kicked a piece of furniture when that call happened. She looked at me like 'whoa you care a lot about this'. I also think she was a little nervous. I told her, nothing gets me more worked up then a Bills game.
  11. I just pray the Bills do not have any snow games. I liked watching Brown play early in the year, but that Pitt game was brutal to watch. I do not think i have ever seen a professional football player run on his tippie toes due to being in the snow. Let's hope he gets resigned and plays like he did in that first NE game all year.
  12. Good signing for the Pats and Gilmore will do well there. I think Gilmore is a follower of the culture around him. Buffalo needs more guys who want to lead and change things. Kyle Williams, Fred Jackson...etc. When the Bills get more guys like that mentally and talent wise of a Gilmore, the Bills will win.
  13. Shanny wants a guy like Gabriel here in Atlanta. Goodwin looks like him, same size and speed.
  14. Whaley must of learned those tricks while working in the Steelers Franchise.
  15. Anyone who loves paying a FB that kind of money is a homer of a fool. McDermott is showing his muscle early on with the Taylor signing and the two RB's the Bills have signed.
  16. I can go either way on Smith. On one hand he struggled for a long time. He has had his best success when being coached by Harbaugh and Reid. Two great QB focused HQ. Smith would be an upgrade from TT in the sense he can distribute the ball and read a D better, IF he is the Alex Smith from the past 5 years.
  17. Great guy who stepped up and filled a need and did so spectacularly. I don't think the Bills can afford what his agent says he wants. If no other team bites, bring him back on a deal with a solid base, maybe $2 mil with incentives that could reach $4-$5mil for playing time, production. That's if he wants to come back to Buffalo. Half the teams would give him the deal I proposed.
  18. Agreed. If there is one OC job in college Brian will get plenty of face time it is Bama. Do a good job there and he can pick his next move more easily.
  19. This is probably a done deal? Aren't Saban and Belichick friends?
  20. Did you read the article? What does Washingtons size have anything to do with his production? The reporter made it sound as if because he was some huge beast(which even then it doesn't matter), he should of had more of an impact. BTW 2.5 sacks from an interior lineman is pretty good! That's value from a third round rookie. If you want the Bills to stink believe articles like this. If you want the Bills to be good you can find ways not to believe it.
  21. The tone of this article sounds like someone with an agenda. A. Washington had a great rookie year for an interior rookie lineman taken in the third round. Regardless of his size. Wake me up in two years from now. If Lawson gets 8-12 sacks a season, Ragland turns into an every down LB with Seymour and Washington improving on a solid rookie campaign, talk to me then.
  22. If Oswieller got the deal he got, Taylor knows he can do better in FA.
  23. That would seem like a good spot for Helfrich. A great Offensive mind with HC experience is what Saban likes it appears. The DB's at Bama say Saban spends a lot of his time during individual drills with them.
  24. I don't know if Chip is the kind of guy to be a follower. He is a great offensive mind. I don't know if his ego will let him be told what to do. If there is anyone that has a bigger personality it is Saban. I like the Sarkesian hire. He likes playing up tempo which Ryan really likes. Might take time to adjust to each other like it did with Ryan and Shannahan.
