  1. Ray Lewis not in the top 5 isn't good. Derrick Thomas was good, but he didn't help his team win a SB. What Lewis did in Baltimore with Ed Reed in 2000 was amazing. Nothing against Gil. The man knows his stuff and those lists have got to be hard to make. Ray Lewis is the best MLB to play in the last 25 years.
  2. Anyone who fights through their personal pain to get up and keep trying is some one to commend. One person does not have to take anything away from the other person.
  3. Saying the Bills are worse at QB then last year is weird. The Bills have the same starter in Taylor. The problem with this team for the past 25 years has been having both sides of the ball be good. You have to have one side of the ball be elite and the other side can be mediocre to compete and make the playoffs. OR you have to have both sides of above average and also the ST's be good. Taylor and the offense did enough last year to make the playoff's if the defense had played as well as it did in 2015.
  4. Exactly right. Takes guts to do what he did. I hope some of you on here calling him an idiot never have to face something so scary it causes you to question going on.
  5. Ok on the events.Do you have knowledge about what percentage of sales go to the charity? Or how much? Does Del have two separate business'?
  6. Care to elaborate on what you mean by 'many'? Or what percentages of the proceeds are donated? or where you get your information specifically?
  7. So if Mahomes does not succeed he must not be very good. Correct? I think i get what you are saying, it is like Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll. The right fit. Reed and Mahomes is a good fit.
  8. Average means you take the highs and lows and add them togethether and then divide by those amounts. If the highs occur in the playoffs and result in a SB win, who cares about 'AV'? This system, while overall does a decent job of ranking QB's, must also have an asterisk with SB winner. show the 'AV' of the quarterback during that SB season and playoffs. I think this is nice but I also think this is what's degrading sports to some extent. Watch and enjoy. Sports are suppose to be entertainment. Now some treat it like a job. It's a nice hobby to do all this and not get paid .
  9. We have no idea what's going on. Miller could of shown up a little heavy and this is coaches trying to light a fire under him. Also this staff has little to no ties to a third rounder from a couple years back
  10. To me it is negligent of the documentary makers if they do not tell the entire story of how the Bills Mafia got started. The film makers could also point out who Dell is and what he wants the Bills Mafia to stand for. However, that won't get anywhere near the attention showing some people doing crazy stunts screaming 'billsmafia' .
  11. Thank you for pointing this out. He also doesn't drink and is a devout Christian and a family man.
  12. I hope ' i need the weekend to decide' translates into ' i did not feel comfortable saying i want to play for the Bills'
  13. so freaking sad. I just mentioned him a couple days ago in the Maclin thread... i thought they were in the same draft.
  14. I went to the Flora-Bama a few years back, got one of the best stories of my life out of that night. Any chance Uber did this as a publicity stunt to announce their coming to Buffalo?
  15. Huuuuuge upgrade over Goodwin. Let's hope it gets done.
  16. Isn't Maclin from the same draft class as Hardy was?
  17. Why wouldn't they? Besides a select few QB's in this league every player is tradeable under the right circumstance. If the Bills could get another first or 2 seconds and a third , I would do it .
  18. Emmotional and under control. Has the respect of his players because he can make the right judgement call while also being passionate. That's a coach I'd want to play for.
  19. i wonder what percentage of those catches will come within 3-5 yes of the LOS.
  20. Talent wise there was not a huge loss. Gilmore is good, but frustrating. Let's see what the rookies bring and the maturation of the second year guys. Biggest improvement to me looks like the Bills are running the team like the majority of the has everyone new and on the same page. The way the Bills had been doing things was annoying. How can you expect continuity when you have key people from all different era's in place?
  21. Exactly. Maybe guys got to a position where they 'failed' and thus went to a position where they have had success.
  22. Good for Fitz. I like him and he is a good player to have on your team. The frustration with Fitz was when he would let his emotions get the better of him. These were the times Fitz would decide to make a throw that physical he should not attempt. When under control Fitz is a mid level starter.
  23. Defense to me is about each defender knowing their role during a called set. Defenders by nature like to think less but attack and react more. Moving defenders all over the place is very complicated to learn and takes away from the ability to attack and react to some degree. The less a defenders worries about his pre snap positioning the easier it should be to get off the ball. I don't think the quote means the Bills will be running base defenses. I do think it means the D will be a bit more streamlined. Less pre snap movement is ok. It is about mixing it up at the right time . That's what makes a D good for me. When to blitz and when to stay back. Knowing the opposition and having the right D ready for the game.
