  1. It's a lot of coaching too. McDermott is a DB coach at heart, just like a Saban. Gaines played good today. The thing I don't miss at all is having to watch a DB in a Bills uni look up at the video screen and act like someone blew a coverage. Gosh I hope this never happens again.
  2. The Bills D will need to get pressure on Ryan and force a few turnovers. Sami, Julio, Freeman, Coleman, Gabriel, and Hooper are all very good skill players. Be interesting to see Kyle going against Levitre .
  3. The Falcons are a stacked team. The Bills are going to need Ryan to have an off game. Ryan had one today and the Falcons still found a way to win. I will be there. Looking forward to it.
  4. They are trying to get his confidence back with a TD. He will be ok. Catching the ball is mental. He needs that big catch to get him feeling he belongs.
  5. These moves were made for the Bills future. I have no clue how this will work out. The Rams have better WR talent today than the Bills do. Two weeks into the 2017 season. In 5 years from now let's say Sammy, Woods and Goodwin are all retired. The Bills draft a franchise QB and a WR both hall of famers. Bills also get a DB and other players in the draft that lay the foundation for a SB. Than the Bills got what they wanted. The other teams also got what they wanted winning now with ex Bills players. The ex Bills players got what they wanted. Why do some of Bills fans want the Bills to always make the wrong moves?
  6. Glenn is hurt. I don't like it but I'm not going to lump him with Dareus.
  7. I will take McCoy for the block
  8. I hope those comments fire the Bills D up! Let Marshall talk about Denver being the best D. Post that in the locker room. I hope the Bills have some pride. I'd love to see a Bills win. Shock the world!
  9. If Sammy is healthy and he has a capable QB he is a good receiver. Does anyone argue that? Sammy wasn't always healthy in Buffalo and he didn't have a QB who could throw him the ball consistently. Wish Sammy well and move on. He wasn't going to sign with the Bills. Glad they got something for him.
  10. Atlanta radio already has the Falcons heading to NE on Oct 22 undefeated. Rolling the Bills at home. That game will be a good test for this D. I think I am just going to watch the defense play and flip around when the O gets on the field.
  11. This is exactly the type of signing and player the Bills need if they are going to change the momentum. lets hope the FO finds more players like this.
  12. Tasked will get in eventually. I think it is one of the reasons he is doing TV. The HOF is political to a point. Yes a player has to have the numbers, but they also need to be someone the voters can relate to another player being in already. That's one of Taskers big obstacles. Tasker is trying to overcome it by being visible as a TV analyst.
  13. That was a mistake for sure. I doubt Rosen will make that again. Rosen is trying to carry his team. That's great practice for whatever team drafts him high . He will be asked most likely to do the same.
  14. The NFL is constantly changing. I don't think this is always the case anymore. When teams are able to find starters deeper in the draft , a team can forgo overpaying.
  15. This smacks of passive aggressiveness.I don't know John from Adam's house cat, but I have read enough of his posts to know he understands football. John is an optimist about Bills players. Honestly, shouldn't we all be as Bills fans? What joy is taken from wanting a player to not be good ? Is it so a poster can say ' I know something about football'? I have been guilty of this in the past. As for Shaq, it is far to early to tell. Beasley in Atl had a less than stellar rookie season. The coaching staff moved his position for his second season and he led the league in sacks. Players do get better and develop. Coaching helps with this a ton. Look at our own Lorax! Positive thinking is really something we need more of. Any of you claiming to emphatically know anything about Lawson are just speculating with hopes of being able to say 'see I told you'. i would rather be able to watch one of my teams players turn out to be good. This is entertainment, what not watch it for the happy ending? We are due that.
  16. Correct, and we do not have the same talent on paper in the defensive backfield as we did in 2014. IF this group plays up to near those standards, I think we need to recognize the coaching.
  17. Look, I'm not saying the Bills played the 2007 Pats offense, I am saying McDermott knows how to coach the backend of the D. Frazier does as well. They won't look great every game, but I expect in game adjustments like we have not seen in a long time.
  18. I wonder if that has anything to do with coaching?
  19. I think many of the level headed fans feel the same way John. New coach , new GM, the feel is everyone is unified in the approach . Turnover on the roster has us interested to see the product on the field. All this said I think the Bills are building something that will take some time. In sports though I have seen that time line speed up or never arrive. I also don't know how much we are going to learn after today. Opening day and football is back and that's all that matters. Go Bills!
  20. Yep, I don't think Michael's was hating on Buffalo. He has struck me as one of the best in the business for a reason.
  21. I have a friend who this exact same thing happened to. Gambling is a serious addiction just like all the rest. My friend lost his family and ended up In federal prison for 3 years. While I have never listened to this guy on the radio or know anything about him, I bet he is in a very bad place now. Try showing some compassion. We all make mistakes.
  22. I think some guys are just wanting to show they understand coverage more than they really care about Gilmore. I get it.
  23. Gilmore is on the Pats. Shouldn't every Bills fan want him to give up touchdown passes? Shouldn't we as Bills fans want touch down passes to occur while Golmore is one the field or off the field? Move on people.
  24. Yep, that's how I feel about him right now. Hopefully he can develop footwork so he doesn't appear lost on an island with the pass rusher. His body language in some of the clips by the OP(thank you for those) make him look tentative and as if he is forcing himself. The one clip where his drop foot is kicking back and touching is text book practice rep. It appears Like many players up to this point physical ability has carried them. At the NFL level he will need to improve technique. It can be done.
