Shhhhh, people don’t want to remember what happened 12 months ago. Even Saban is contradicting himself. To me me it is a toss up for the fourth spot. I am saying this not being a fan of OSU and being and SEC guy. I also am expecting a slight shake up in the order of the predicted 1-3 teams of Clemson, Okla, and UGA.

Some franchises are taking the approach that since there is no cap for spending in the front office they will add talent there. There are a lot of ex gm’s around that are good at specific things. As the op mentioned Whaley was a great pro scout. If he was allowed to focus on that a team could do well in FA with his information. There are other GM’s who were good college scouts for certain areas on the field. There are also good money men who know how to manage the cap. Get a good group like that working together and you got something. A team still needs one guy who brings them all together and works between the FO and the coaches. Atlanta has something like this right now. A few ex GM’s on the staff helping Dimitrof with talent and cap. Dimitrof works more as a liaison between everyone.

Man we have pretty much the same topics every year. This thread gets done every season. Sad. Waiting for the ‘where were you when the Bills officially got into the playoffs’ or ‘who did you think of first when the Bills won the Super Bowl’ threads.

The big thing that will differentiate this staff for UGA is coaching up players once they get there. Richt had some pretty good classes come in and there are plenty of UGA players in the NFL. I think the playoffs are right on the money now. The easiest thing is for Clemson, Oklahoma, and Wisc to win their games this weekend. Then it will be them plus the winner of the SEC championship game in the playoffs. This weekend really is like a quarter finals. No way. There will not be 2 teams from the ACC in the playoffs. The committee knows that would be rating suicide. Not to mention they can justify a one loss Bama over 2 loss Clemson. They could also justify a two loss Ohio State or no loss Wisc over Clemson. There really is no way Clemson gets in if they lose. There is also no way all 4 of the 'favorites' win. It just will not work out that way. Someone will be crying come Sunday night. As a UGA fan, if the Dawgs win they are in. If the Dawgs lose, i want AU in with the other three winners of the conference games. It really should be that simple*. TCU could screw it all up. It will be a fun Saturday!

I’d rather try to grab a QB in FA and build the team in the draft. So many decent vets are going to be available. Mc Dermott needs a LB , get Roquan in the first and some more line help.

They really don't have a great resume this year. They beat Miss St and LSU. Other than that i do not see it. If i do not like Ohio State getting in because of their name or the way they travel, i have to hold Bama to that same stipulation. In my perfect world it is UGA, Okla, Clemson/Miami , Wisc. I am a big UGA fan . There are a lot of similarities in being a Dawg fan and a Bills fan.

This is one of those stats where i am like, who cares? I mean honestly, we know Brady is the greatest of all time and we get how much the Pats have owned the Bills. So what? What is the point? They sure did. No denying it. Interested to see what the OC for UGA can come up with blocking wise to get UGA's backs some room to run. AU is just to big and physical right now to play man on man with them. Smart said when he took the job that UGA had to get a lot bigger along the lines, and he is recruiting that way. As a UGA fan it is nice to control what happens. Win and in. Unfortunately that means beating the hottest team.

I don’t think there Is a single Bills fan who thinks Taylor is the answer at QB past this season. Let him go out and be the QB and play for another shot next year, with another team. There is no way McDermott and Bean bring Taylor back. As for what Taylor did against the Chargers, whatever. Peterman looked about the same against New Orleans.

I will admit I have seen very little of Jackson. I did see enough of Watson to know he was going to be a good pro. Anyone who can beat Saban in the NC game the second time, is good.

Hahaha, I have used this line so many times over the past 10 years to describe the Bills. This Sunday is exactly the type of game they win to get us thinking ‘wait a min...’ . Then they lose 3 in a row again.

Here is how I feel about it. We know Peterman isn’t ready. So at this point just play Taylor. Taylor gives the team a chance, he has won some in the NFL. The reason to play Tyrod is for next season. If McDermott plays Peterman anymore this year he is going to have a tough time commanding respect from whoever comes back next year.

Hasn't everyone recognized the fact that Tyrod has hit a ceiling? We witnessed this last season. Tyrod is what he is, give him the 85 Bears or 2015 Denver D and he can get you into the playoffs and maybe more. This team is very devoid of talent and thus Tyrod can not elevate the team to anything more.
