Marvin Lewis will leave Bengals after this season
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was time. Lewis needs to move to the front office in a player development role. I think what Lewis does best is mentor young men into growing up and developing skills needed to be professionals. With all the risky players the Bengals bring in they don’t seem to have anymore off field issues than the average team. I think Lewis deserves a lot of the credit for this. -
If the Bills Win Today, It's Because ...
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will not watch the game. I will just get info here and on ESPN. I’m like 3-0 with that approach since last year. -
There really does need to be some course of action to discipline someone who does this. As you pointed out it hurts all those other women who really are victims. It is a fine line because I do not ever want a true victim of rape to feel they can not step forward. People who have been a victim of sexual abuse have already undergone so much pain the last thing they need is to be doubted. Just a bad thing all the way around. It did not take long for someone to try to take advantage of all the sexual misconduct that has been publicized.

Jets may finally be done with Mo Wilkerson
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They are all hungry...their defensive tackles. Joking aside, I agree that younger seems to be what this administration likes. They also want men who are professionals and responsible. I don’t think Mo has displayed a ton of that in NY recently. -
There is a lot to be said about building the center of all three levels on D. I feel like Hyde is a good safety. Roquan would be an amazing LB and then a DT who can eat some OLinmen would do the trick.
-
Roquan Smith please. Add him and a DT and the Bills D would instantly look amazing.

Loving Dion Dawkins - on & off the field!

I am just messing with. Here’s to hoping we found our LT or RT for the next ten years! -

Way to miss the point. -
Bills need to win and it’s to early to call this right now.

Who agrees with me that this should be the 2018 OL?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For some reason the Bills can not find a RT. They need to draft a RT out of college to play RT. i also think they need an Incognito replacement. Richie started to show his age this year. I don’t think he has a lot left. Trade Glenn for a second rounder . I hate saying this but if Glenn doesn’t want to be with the Bills get what you can for him. He is a UGA guy and I am a UGA fan. I loved it when he was drafter and think he is a very solid LT. This season has been so strange in regards to his injuries. I almost feel as if we don’t know he entire story. -
That was painful to watch. Mr Wilson gave us the Bills and I will choose to remember him during the SB era enjoying the fruits of his labor. It was during the mid to late 80’s I first got to meet Mr Wilson as a kid. He was always very kind to me and would remember who I was. I had no idea how special that was. I do now.

Todd McShay 2018 Mock Draft 1.0
atlbillsfan1975 replied to essential's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Roquan, is exactly the LB needed to make McDermotts scheme work. I agree the Bills need a QB and am fine using the 2 this year and one from next year to move up and grab one in the top 5. I think the Bills are in a good spot. -
The 2017 Draft: 1st round Re-do

Agree with keeping Tre, I want to see how Mayfield does against UGA. If Mayfield shreds the Dawgs D then I am all for drafting him. -
Do the Bills Make the Playoffs?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to billsfan2298's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McVay wasn’t even near the sideline watching live action when the defense got the Rams was on the field. That is not usually how a HC is involved in the game. That’s my point. McVay is the OC and then the HC. It’s working out for them. I am sure McVay can evolve into the complete HC. -

McVay is 31. The point is Wade is 71, at what point will McVay be comfortable taking over the complete reigns as the HC ? Right now the system is working for the Rams. -

People do learn and get better at things. We shall see about McVay. -
Do the Bills Make the Playoffs?

I don’t really think they win all three which is what it will most likely take to make it in. Watch the Bills win against Miami next week and win in NE and then lose to Miami the last week. To top it off the QB for the Dolphins will be someone brought In off the street. 8-8 or 9-7 for a rookie coach is not bad. McDermott will learn time management and game management. They just showed McVay in La. He was on the bench studying the tablet while the LA d was on the field. He leaves everything up to Phillips. I think that is ok for now but wonder if that is sustainable. Maybe McVay will insert himself into more of the HC role as he feels comfortable. Mc Dermott will improve. Some of his calls are frustrating right now. I am sure he grades himself tougher than we do. Many successful people are usually their toughest critics. The trick is learning and letting go. -
Gotta be Tyrod if Peterman is in concussion protocol. This actually worked out about as good as it could of. Tyrod gets healthy, Bills get a win, and Peterman won’t be able to play so there is no controversy. Webb can be sprinkled for some wildcat and he ‘can’ poise a threat to throw the ball. Here is to a win against Miami to keep hopes alive for one more week.

Conspiracy theory fun (qb related)
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ummmm, Peterman isn’t ready. He has looked good going against 2nd and 3rd stringers when games are out of reach. When it counted Peterman looked like a 5th round rookie. He needs time. -
The two biggest areas a rookie coach can improve on from year one to year two are clock management and challenges. I think McDermott will get better. Having said that the Brady challenge seemed like McDermott did not understand the rules or had poor intelligence from whoever his spotter is for when to challenge.

Dion Dawkins Standing Out Now
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dawkins does look very comfortable at LT. I did notice he was very active in the Pats game. Dawkins stood out for his downfield blocking. I saw him having a great block that was nullified by a Wood holding penalty. Overall this class is very promising. A couple more like this one with all the picks the Bills have and we can start to see something. BTW Zay is going to be really good when he has a QB who understands timing and throws to a spot vs waiting for a receiver to be open. -
Are you saying the Pats and Belichik is like Gregg Williams and the Saints? I do not believe that. I think Gronk let his emotions get the better of him just like Brady and McDaniel did. I applaud Belichik saying it was b.s. I did not hear what McDermott said to Bill to have the 'bs response'. I also think McDermott handled that situation pretty good. You never know when someone will be a FA and you might be looking at them as a possible player for your team.
