One friend, a UGA alum, bought a ticket about a month ago for $1400. Another bought one three weeks ago post SEC championship game for $2000. I think a Bama vs UGA game will set the record for highest average ticket price for a championship game. A few factors will play into it. The new stadium, a ton of fans willing to pay higher prices due to no airfare and very little if any accommodation expense. A lot of UGA and Bama fans in Atlanta. It is easier to swallow a $2500 ticket price if that is 95% of your total expense for the experience. And lastly just the natural progression of ticket costs.

Thanks man!! This is a nice feeling. As for Mayfield I came away with a mixed impression. His line was dominating at times giving him 4-5 seconds at least. This was mostly in the first half and UGA was playing more of a 3 man front. When UGA went to a four man front and bringing a 5th or 6th man OKL’s Oline struggled and thus did Mayfield. He was unable to make a quick check down or slide away from the pressure to reset and deliver a solid pass. Mayfield did have the nice touchdown throw in the second half where he avoided pressure and reset his feet. I came away thinking I wouldn’t want to draft him in the first round. I for sure would not want to trade picks to move up and take him in the first. This has been a great weekend for me. Not sure how many Bills and Dawg fans there are in the world, glad I am tonight. Now lets win next week and shock the world!!

I am most impressed with the OKL o line and their coaches. Mayfield looks solid but he has had all day. UGA has looked out coached and out of sorts. Credit to OKL and coming in ready to show they are for real.

I am honesty very interested in seeing what Mayfield can do. If he has a good game against this UGA D, I will not be upset if the Bills grab him with a pick .

Thought maybe we can start a thread just for the Rose Bowl. Go Dawgs!! Lets see how good Mayfield is against an SEC D. If Mayfield is the real deal he will prove it today.

I am sure Kyle has been in touch with all the guys he shared time with over the past 11 seasons that wanted it just as much as he does. Freddie definitely was another great leader who gave his heart and soul to try an get the team over the hump and back into the playoffs.

I got tears. Kyle has so much heart and determination . Kyle is a great man. I am glad King wrote this piece. Kudos to any of you who were standing out there when the plane arrived earlier this morning!

I believe Arians keeps a home in Reynolds Plantation outside Atlanta. If the Falcons miss the playoffs Sark may get shown the door or head off for a college HC gig. Arians would be amazing with the offensive weapons the Falcons have.

Make that Cousins contract one that can be exited after 3 years. I don’t think Cousins is going to be brutal and with the picks you can build the team. If Cousins does stink or gets injured you get him mostly off the books in four years. Then you can pay your players who are coming up for FA from this draft.

I hear ya Boyst, it is easy to not feel good about a win. After 17 years the one thing I do know is whatever I think will happen most likely won’t happen. I am not sure why but I got a strange feeling the Bills get in. Either way I am glad I let the emotional ups and downs back in my 30’s. If they win and get in I will think about those people I shared the last playoff moment with that are no longer here.

It just doesn’t matter as much as it use to. FA and national scouting has negated weather home field advantage to a large degree.

So many players are now coming from all over the place. Factor that in with FA and roster turnover and weather advantage is not what it use to be 20-30 years ago. This weekend will be a welcome weather change for everyone on the Bills i gotta think.

When Gaines plays the entire defense seems to be better. I think this is because there are two good corners on the field. I do not want to lose Gaines, but I also wonder if in McDermotts D a cheaper replacement can be found in FA or the draft. My biggest concern with paying Gaines upper corner money is his ability to stay healthy. Gaines has missed one entire season already and numerous games this year. That is the definition of injury prone.

That’s refreshing. Pegula put the league on notice that if they call him about his non controversial comments he will not back down.

As Pegula I think I would give my coach 3 full seasons to make the playoffs . They get one year extra on their contract for making the playoffs, two years for winning a playoff game, 3 years for making the Super Bowl and 5 years for winning one. To to your point OP. McDermott has things to learn and I believe he will. He seems willing to learn and adapt. He also seems to have the right relationship with the GM.
