Chiefs trade Alex Smith to washington
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Castellar's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can’t wait to see this deal. Its my understanding that the Skins hadn’t officially said they weren’t bringing Cousins back. This sure is one way to tell him. -
And now you know the rest of the story....
-
Maybe another DB coach is coming in that McD has previous working experience with.

That would be a very Browns thing to do indeed. Taking a running back first overall in 2018 is just silly. I don’t care how good he is. I am sure the Browns have a need for running back but that can be addressed anywhere. Given the projections presented why wouldn’t the Browns trade back? They still get the QB they want at five, grab a great running back later in the first and have more picks in this draft and next years? I like how you are thinking in regards to Wynn. While he played tackle in colllege I think he slides to guard in the pros. His height is one concern for tackle. Either way Wynn is one of the main reasons UGA’s oline really improved this year. i also am not thrilled about 2 DT’s in the first. I’d like to see a vet in FA and then one in the first or second. LB is a huge need for this defense. I am hearing some talk the Roquan could slip a little and be the third LB taken due to his size being a little small. If Roquan is there when the Bills pick I hope they take him and DT. I like the idea of building from the inside out on D. Meaning finding a great player at each of the three levels.

Definitely a market for the XFL
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I might start with looking at the demographics of where his wrestling company is having the most success. Then match those statistics against places where rating and attendance for college and arena football is the greatest. They will need to look at the population and spending habits. The final piece, and major one, is a venue present to hold the games. Stadiums should be probably like 20-30k at most to start. Finding smaller college football stadiums would work . Also have built in fans with students if done late winter/spring. -
Hey ‘ittakestime ‘ let’s see what those pics amount too before we pass judgement. Eh never mind, let’s hope they turn out to be busts and the Bills stink for 17 years...that’s our comfort zone .

E Wood was a great player who played a position of little recognition. He loved and embraced all things Buffalo. E Wood was always on the plain helping to bring guys to Buffalo in FA . Great leader who had a career cut too short. He will continue to have a huge positive impact in the world. Keep smiling big man.

Mayfield may not play in Senior Bowl
atlbillsfan1975 replied to MrEpsYtown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are quickly becoming one of my favorite posters. -
I am not a fan of giving anything away to get Mayfield. If he is there when the Bills pick and they like him, great. I don’t know the young man and will admit I watched him closely in just the Rose Bowl. I saw a QB who has talent but when the UGA defense switched fronts and got him uneasy he didn’t play great at all. Mayfield will need to adjust to the professional game. The just wing it style doesn’t work for long in the NFL.

Pats will draft him in the 4th round. -
Is Tom Brady better than Jordan?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The New England D has to make stops so Tom Brady can score enough points. Brady isn’t even on the field for those stops. It is ultimately impossible to really say who is better. They both are great. -
Titans Name Mike Vrabel New HC
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I base my assumptions on how I think Vrabel will do based off watching him in Hard Knocks as DC for Houston. He seemed very unsound with technique and play calling. Hey Marrone just got to within 50 yards of the Super Bowl, anything is possible. -
Tom Brady ... would he be a good coach?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to notwoz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. I doubt he will want to be a coach. Tom will be a philanthropist and enjoy life after football. He doesn’t seem to be the type of guy who needs the attention, he plays football to win. -

Terrible hire. Seemed out of place on the Hard Knocks like if he didn’t have a personal relationship with O’Brien he wouldn’t of had the DC job in Houston. This is such a bad move. Mike Singletary In SF or Orgeron at Ole Miss type bad move. Jeesh. Sorry Titan fans, you are screwed. -
Michel is fast and can catch the ball. He is not the same type of runner as McCoy or even Kamara. McCoy is extremely shifty and a lateral runner with the ability to go from stop to full speed in maybe 3 steps. That’s not Michel. Michel is fast and can also run over a LB or safety. Michel is almost 6 foot and about 220. Think more David Johnson. I would take him in the second. If he is still on the board after the first night. I bet there will be a lot of teams trying move up to grab him.

Everyone Talks Trade Up For QB, But What If....
atlbillsfan1975 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love Roquan , I am a UGA fan. I wouldn’t be surprised if this happened in the least. Roquan should be that Kuechly that helps make the Bills D click. What would it cost the Bills to move up 10 spots to 10 in the draft? -
I don’t think name calling is necessary. I also happen to think Tyrod isn’t the answer to the quarter back position for the Buffalo Bills. I also believe by basically every measurable possible Alex Smith has achieved more success in the NFL and has better numbers. I bet I would like Tyrod better than Alex Smith, but I think Alex Smith is a better quarterback. I think the Bills need to find a long term solution in a drafted quarterback. I think the Bills would be wise to investigate how all vets possibly available handled themselves while in a position of having a rookie study under them.
-
Does anyone else stop reading a post when it says ‘I would rather watch Tyrod than...’? Andy got Smith for a 2 round pick and a conditional pick. I didn’t find what that pick turned out to be. With 5 more years of wear and tear I think a 3 rd and conditional pick is suitable. Smith is well worth a 3 rd if it means no more Tyrod and we are drafting a long term solution.

Awful news from WSU - RIP QB Tyler Hilinski

So sad for this to happen. Prayers go out to the family, they will never be the same. -
Your favorite college team: Draft/Don’t draft
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in College Football
Nice comparison. Michel doesn’t possess the same change of direction skills as McCoy does, the stop to full speed quickness. Michel has amazing hands and runs between the tackles quickly and then finding an angle to gain the most yards. Kamara reminds me of McCoy more. Kamara is an amazing quick back that has that shifty quality. Michel is just under 6 foot and weighs around 220. If Michel had a good combine, I could see teams easily want to take him in the first. Teams will be looking at the fact he shared the backfield with Gurley and then Chubb.
