  1. Ever wonder if boom or bust has something to do with the coaching fit?
  2. Wow, one report and everyone is up in arms. Having said that, IF true this makes sense. It’s kind of like in baseball when a team trades a player but eats a portion of the salary. I can see Tyrod in orange and blue and someone saying ‘ the Bills are paying you $6million not to play there’.
  3. I thought Miller played pretty darn good for a rookie. He seems to fit a power run game as you stated. I'd hate to see the Bills give up on a guy who showed such potential.
  4. Wow, did i say they would suck? Jeesh, read what i wrote, not what you you heard in your head. Fact is Saban has been hurt in recruiting by the amount of coaches leaving. Saban has also not been one to embrace the new technology rules of being able to text with recruits and the use of some of the social media aspects. Saban is an amazing coach, one of the top 5 best all time if not the best. Best college coach i have had the privilege of watching. I even read the book '4th and Goal Everyday' because i admire him. The book is great, it is all about the process. If anyone can absorb the high turnover it will be Saban. I am sure he already has contingency plans in place. My point was and is that Bama just got out recruited by more schools than it has in a decade. Maybe it is coincidence that slide in recruiting coincides with the departure of coaches. Maybe it will have little impact on what happens in the fall. If Bama bounces back next year and puts up a top 3 class, it will be an anomaly.
  5. Herbie is a very nice choice for draft day. He likes UGA, be cool to hear what he has to say about the Dawgs coming out.
  6. That is my concern. I agree with you that the Bills would make out good in this scenario. Glenn would be getting paid now like a LT. I am sure his agent would worry that teams will try to use his lack of recent LT playing time in negotiations. From reading posts you are one of the guys i trust when it comes to numbers. Is there a place to tell what is the average RT vs average LT? Highest paid RT?
  7. You and i are on the exact same page. Do you have any question on IF Glenn will agree to play RT? I do not think it is ultimately up to him, but players have learned how to work the system.
  8. I didn’t say he wouldn’t. I asked a question to a poster. The question was based off the poster putting Cordy at RT. The move away from zone could benefit Miller and probably Richie as well. I agree Dawkins looked more comfortable at LT . Why does is seem so hard to find a RT? It almost feels like you need to find a Vet that can’t play LT anymore to move over to the right side.
  9. We need to defer to Daboll. DiMarco wasn’t the only person who looked out of place. Dennison had Tolbert in on packages at times that didn’t suit his skill set. I believe DiMarco has the talent.
  10. Why do you think Miller will start this year? Why do you think Cordy will play RT?
  11. Wow, didn’t see that coming. I didn’t think any of the FA WR’s are worth the tag. Definetly not Watkins.
  12. In a perfect world this would be the plan.
  13. Woody is normal sized...definetly not the little person. I remember when he was hired, my grandfather was working with the Bills. Really nice guy and was a hard as hell worker. Who knows why he was fired...35 years was a good run.
  14. How big of a deal could Minnie give Cousins? A couple million a year over a 5 year deal might not make a difference. If the Jets would fully guarantee the deal and $10 mil extra, that might make anyone think ‘I can win there’.
  15. Bowles with Cousins and a good OC would be dangerous. I don’t really want that scenario in New York. I agree that the Jets will probably find a way to screw it up like firing Bowles and not giving him a chance with an actual NFL starting caliber QB.
  16. Cousins has very solid numbers and will be a top 10 quarterback for years to come. I hate to say it but the $60 million first year deal actually sounds pretty wise. Get a hug chunk of the deal out of the way so the Jets could build around him by signing their own FA as they need too. Cousins could be a really good fit for the Jets.
  17. I really think the talent isn’t far off on the line. We need a scheme and coaches that fit the personnel .
  18. I believe the Bills are going to take the same approach to Glenn as they did with Watkins. Show he is healthy and then trade him in August for picks and a player. This is the biggest savings. I also believe we will get a tip on this being possible with Henderson. IF Henderson is healthy, look for him to be brought back as a swing tackle. Making Glenn the odd man out. Glenn’s contract is also one where trading him post June 1st makes the most financial sense.
  19. Nice break down, thank you. If the Bills want to move on from Glenn then they need to trade him post June 1st. His contract has the biggest swing and most glaring disparage from a trade as opposed to a cut. Tyrod, Hughes, Lorenzo, and Richie have similar savings be it cut or traded. I would like to see Richie and Lorenzo brought back. I would look for Beane to make another trade similar to the Watkins deal with Glenn in August as teams see needs. A healthy Glenn displayed during some preseason games could bring back a nice player and high pick. I feel like the Bills have been able to find left tackles but struggling to fill the RT. Mills started to come on and Henderson might finally be back to playing form. Henderson would be a good swing tackle if healthy. Dawkins did very good for a rookie and I can see him becoming the LT. Hughes traded after June 1st would be a good savings. Hopefully Beane can find a defensive scheme similar to the one Schwartz runs with a team that has cap space and needs a pass rusher. Tyrod needs to be cut or traded pre March 16th or post June 1st.
  20. Trade him to the Giants coupled with both first rounds picks and out 3rd rounder this year. Giants win the Super Bowl this year and the Bills get their quarterback for the next 15 years and get a Super Bowl win in 2025.
  21. Good place for him to practice and work on his acting. It worked for the Rock.
  22. There is talk about Watkins here in Atlanta...talk about put up or shut up time. There would be no doubt who is getting all the attention with Julio on one side. Ryan isn’t the best QB but he is darn good. I actually think Watkins in Atl makes a ton of sense if they can get the money right.
  23. Zay is going to be a good player for the Bills. He may not turn out to be the next Moulds or Reed but he will makes some big catches and have a very solid career. Number like Stevie Johnson’s but on a winning team.
  24. Exactly right about structuring the deal. I would expect the bills pro scouts are working with Beane and McDermott on who is available that would fit the scheme and most likely cost less. If i was the Bills i would keep things cordial but let Gaines test the waters. See how the league views his injuries and the fact that he was surrounded by 3 other players that had great seasons. The injuries are not just something that occurred just this season. I think a strong base salary of $7 mil + time played and wins incentives could be good landing spot for everyone. If Gaines stayed healthy and the Bills won 11 games and had a dominant defense, i think the Bills would gladly pay him 10 million a year.
  25. Eh, it is February. There is most likely zero sense of urgency by either side. I know i wanted something to happen , because i wanted something to happen.
