  1. We shall see if the Tyrod and Watkins moves are good or not. I wish both all the success unless it is at a cost to the Bills.
  2. Love love love this. Fair price for a guy with a ton of potential. Our OC got the inside scoop from Saban and can play to McCarron’s strengths. This is awesome.
  3. Great signing. That contract is 50/50 for play on the field and then leadership. It also sets an example that it’s not just all business. IF you have a career and handle yourself like a pro, the Bills will remember that and try to take care of you.
  4. Belichick and Saban are very close, Saban would not lie about McCarron’s abilities to Belichick.
  5. I’d take him. Guy was a winner in college, has had a few years to watch and learn and looked good filling in for Dalton, albeit very limited capacity. Saban loves him and I am sure he gave Daboll the real story on McCarron.
  6. Andy is desperate for a Super Bowl win. Watkins for this kind of money makes no sense except for a high light reel that displays potential. If anyone can get Watkins to be what we hoped for coming out of Clemson it is Andy Reid.
  7. Great Trade. Glenn wasn’t going to change positions and the Bills like Dawkins. Love this move. Finally going for it.
  8. This would be good for the Bills but bad for Bridgewater. If I’m his agent I would wait till post draft to see the lay of the land. I’d want the best opportunity for my client to be the starter for now and the future. Teddy is different to me than most of the other FA QB’s. Teddy is young and a lot of upside. I’m Not totally sure what he can be yet.
  9. I get what you are saying that Teddy has a better future, but if the Bills are going to draft a QB high, then I would think an aging Vet on a 2 year deal makes more sense. No real controversy to worry about. I am going to assume Brooks is a Tyrod believer?
  10. I wanted to see how this topic was up to 6 pages. Now I see, and glad to add my post. Guys and gals try not to name call. While someone’s posts here may always rub you the wrong way you really don’t know that person (unless you do in reality). Calling people names isn’t sticking to the topic. It also says something about you , and not necessarily the other poster.
  11. This is a great letter. The fact that it sums up the last three years shows exactly the issue. Tyrod’s game never evolved from his first game to his last. We may never know exactly why Tyrod played the same type of game for three years. The reasons can range from coaching changes, players lost, to Tyrod not being able to develope. It was a time for a change for Tyrod, Buffalo, and Cleveland.
  12. Ok, this does it....now I really don’t want Mayfield.:)
  13. A day later and still happy to get a third for a player the Bills were going to cut. Great move.
  14. I am pretty sure at UGA he played every position on the line at some point.
  15. While true, I recently heard an interview with Saban saying he can’t believe McCarron isn’t a starter in the NFL. Saban went on and on about it. Daboll I’m sure heard similar from Saban while he spent time there.
  16. Sammy would seem to be more of a West coast guy than Chicago. IF Sammy gets $12 mil + a year for 4 years that’s just head shaking. Sammy had had one season over a 1000 yards and it was barely over. Sammy has never put up more than 9 touchdowns in a season. Sammy is Peerless Price not Eric Moulds. Paying Sammy number one wide receiver money will not be good for any team. Sammy will get a good deal. At what point does the league stop saying the word ‘potential’ about a player and say he is what he is?
  17. I think Hue and Tyrod are a great Coach/QB pairing. I like Hue a lot.
  18. I am worried about Poe’s back. He didn’t play all that great on his one year ‘show me deal’ in Atl. I can’t see the Bills over paying for name recognition.
  19. I agree with a lot of the things you said here. I do not hate Tyrod at all. I wanted him to be the Bills quarter back and be the answer to that position. I am grateful for how he represented the team and worked very hard to be the quarterback. It appears he will get to go to another team and have a chance to start. Tyrod will have a long career in the NFL. Tyrod proved he can play in this league at the hardest position, that’s a very valuable skill. Teams also know they are getting a good guy and a leader. If Ryan Fitzpatrick can keep getting contracts than Tyrod will too.
  20. You have a ton of misplaced anger my friend. I said Tyrod was a good person just not a very good quarterback. Glad he played for the Bills but also glad to see Beane get the 65th pick for him. I am not nor have I been one of the people wanting Tyrod to fail. Name calling isn’t necessary here or anywhere else.
  21. Tyrod was exactly the same quarter back in his final start as he was in his first. Tyrod never progressed. That’s where Tyrod lost me. If I could say I witnessed improvement it would be one thing, but I didn’t. The ball bounced the Bills way a few times this year and they got to 9-7 and made the playoffs. Tyrod was the same this year as his last two. Good guy slightly below average quarterback. I sm glad the Bills don’t want to live in fear of what if and instead think they deserve better.
  22. If only Tyrod was as good a quarter back as he is a person.
  23. If that’s the case then I am even happier with what Beane got back. There was going to be a ton of options In FA at quarterback. More than a few options that are similar to what Taylor can bring to a team. The Browns have a ridiculious amount of money to spend. For Beane to turn Taylor into a third round pick is magic.
