I will never understand this mentality as a ‘fan’. Honestly you must realize people can improve at their jobs. That’s just common sense. I bet you got better at yours or you improved in school if that’s where you still are. Do you concede that people can improve at things with more experience , exposure, and practice?

So what if the Bills don't trade up or go QB?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to kota's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have never had great results going in with an ‘at all costs’ mentality. I would be very weary of trading 12, 22, a second and a third this year and then a second next year for Baker. It’s not that I don’t think Baker has all the talent and can read a D. Baker will need a solid year sitting for a humbling experience. Baker needs a little emotional maturity. -
Who is your second favorite team?

Falcons second and it is a distant second. I was reminded last season when Atlanta and Buffalo played how much more I am a Bills fan. It wasn’t even close. -
MLB-1 QB-1.5 interior O line-2 interior D line-2.5 Right tackle/swing Tackle-3 WR/TE-3.5 RB-4.0 OLB/rush ends- 4.5 DB/safety-5 In a Perfect world Bills get a MLB that can run McDermotts D AJ or a pick can run the offense. I think interior of both lines is lacking depth and an injury away from being below average at best. Tackle on offense also has serious depth issues. Skill positions on offense are not that bad. I think TE is ok and WR needs a progression out of Zay to a ‘2’. Rush ends and OLB are servicable and I think McDermotts D is an inside out scheme. DB’s to me are the most set area. Which means it will turn into a weakness. It just happens that way for the Bills.

He is not ready yet emotionally. He may get there but I think he needs to go to a team with a forgiving media and sit for a year. Physically he has all the tools. Mentally between the lines he is ready. It is his emotional growth that needs a little time to develop. If things are going good Baker will be good, when things change and maybe adversity is in his path I wonder how he will respond. He is not Manziel but he also isn’t Russel Wilson from a maturity standpoint.

I was waiting for that one. even a broke clock is right twice a day

Marginal players. Let me be more specific, don’t take a Notre Dame WR in the first.

I remember the year he came out. So many people here wanted him. Never draft a wr from Notre Dame.

Bills grade of B+ for free agency
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the FO was trying to find depth for the most part and also improve DL. If they are going all in on a QB this would make some sense. -
AJ- Has anyone told Cordy about Nutri Slim for men? TT- I know, Dan did it and lost 50 lbs.

Latest CBS Sports Mock Draft

I needed to be more clear. I hope that Groy is that replacement. The Bills do need interior o lineman for the aging Incognito and the right guard spot is still a guessing game. -

Who had the strongest arm in NFL history?

Vick had a cannon. -
I think Beane is being 100% honest. He is exploring trades. Beane is going to see what teams want in front of him. Then Beane will make a trade up IF his guy is there. IF not, he will stay and take his player. IF someone does want to trade up to 12 and give up a first next year with their first this year Beane will take it.
-
I agree the Bills have enough picks to move up IF Beane can make a deal with another team that will get him the QB he believes is the guy. However if the Giants or Cleveland do not want to move back, what do you do? What if the QB(s) Beane likes are all gone by pick 6(random number)? The Saints are calling about moving up and will entertain giving up next year's number one because they want to draft a QB to develop for a year, what do you do? (This QB is not one that Beane thinks has franchise potential.)
-
Let’s say that this did happen. The Jets did out bid the Bills for the #3 pick. Should Beane now evaluate his options? What about now trading back from 12 and getting another teams first for next year? I hope and think Beane will not talk himself into another QB that can be had later. For me it is get your guy or build with great pics. When I say get your guy I mean trade what is needed to move up and get him. If you can’t do that, explore a move back to get even more picks to build. I didn’t want to start a new thread with this because I think we have enough draft trade possibility ones.

It’s a rite of passage. Don’t flatter yourself BBMB’ers. I was ridiculed by some of the mods in the beginning. This was the first place I joined and still the only one I belong too. I use it for breaking Bills news and at times to chat football with knowledgeable posters. I usually can figure out which poster is informed on which subject. I like to pick their brain on possibilities. This forum likes new people to come in and join in on some threads before throwing a new one up about a similar topic already being discussed. I have to believe that is similar in ever fan forum. This offseason has seen an increase in new threads with slightly different approaches on the same topic. This points to people not really wanting to discuss a scenario but needing attention for an agenda they have. I don’t really mind it because I did it years ago myself. Eventually I figured out I can have the same discussion inside of another thread and didn’t need to start my own for self validation. To steal the sentiment of Marv’s ‘where would you rather be then right, here right now?’. There is no better forum to discuss the Bills then this one right here, right now.

Browns Sign QB Drew Stanton to a 2-Year Deal
atlbillsfan1975 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can guess that maybe having Stanton being there from the beginning will help with mentoring the rookie. Also as others stated Stanton can be Tyrods backup for the first year. Browns really want and need to approach this year like it is time to win. They have the talent and will be adding a ton more with this draft. -
What is your biggest Bills FA mistake
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair enough, but are they impacting the Bills now? Two are gone and one wasn’t used much last year but maybe the new OC will figure out how to use his talents. Also all three were signed before the first playoff season in 17 years. Boldin didn’t really do anything positive or negative for the Bills. Tolbert was not good and DiMarco wasn’t used much at all. Tolbert is gone. -
