  1. What about the second round?
  2. Roquan could turn out to be a ‘genrational’ MLB due to his skill set and how the game has changed. 30 years ago Roquan would of been a strong safety like Steve Atwater. Now Roquan is a prototype MLB for a pass first league.
  3. The rumor helps the Bills. Thursday is going to be fun.
  4. You did a good bit of work there OP. Thanks for the input. Allen is the most intriguing prospect for me. I really don’t want the Bills to draft him. I’d rather take any of the other 3 QB’s in the first. Taking Allen is based on glimpses of possible potential, Allen doesn’t have the complete body of work.
  5. Like to see this guy step up. I like seeing him saying something.
  6. Good college player, great attitude. He does have a game limitation. 5 round or lower would be good value.
  7. I was having this discussion last night with a few other Bills fans. It will be interesting to see if teams have the QB’s as high as we do. I think the fact that there is also no more than 10 other outstanding players is pushing the QB’s higher up.
  8. He signed the deal. He is now throwing blame on his agents with the firing . Richie has been in the league for years. He has appeared to be well spoken and intelligent. I do not really feel good about saying this, I do question where he is at mentally and emotionally. Richie seems to be making decisions he regrets soon there after. That is honestly not something I would expect out of a veteran like him. Richie taking this to SM is very poor taste. I can see how Richie could turn this into the Bills being a bully and forcing him to play under a deal he doesn’t see fair. The deal being fair or not was something Richie needed to discuss with the Bills before signing it. Ultimately Richie made a choice, it appears he doesn’t like his choice now . Going about vocalizing his displeasure this way will put the Bill on the defensive and not help things move to a productive place initially.
  9. You did not. Sorry, I just threw Smith in there because that was a debate back in the early 90’s. Who would you want between Smith or Thurman. I think Thurman was a much better back then Smith, and that’s not because I’m a Bill fan.
  10. Thurman was as good as Tomlinson and Faulk. Peterson had a different style and not as skilled a receiver as Thurman. I think E. Smith benefited from playing behind maybe the greatest line ever for at least 5-6 years of his career. Also Smith had a relatively injury free career that allowed him to pile up yards.
  11. There is not many vets Who look forward to training camp. I bet the number is even fewer for OL and DL. Hot and big isn’t a good combo. Mix that with your body feeling beaten up and why would you consider retirement after as many years Richie has.
  12. Agreed on premium positions verse value positions. I think QB can stand to be in a separate category. In no other major sport can one position dictate outcome as much as QB. Pinnacle-QB Premium positions- LT, DE/Pass Rusher, CB, Safety (on the fence for safety). Value positions- RB, LB, Interior line on D and O. There are exceptions to this. Barkley comes to mind this year. I think for the value positions you need to be seen as a can't miss. Zero injury and character concerns along with performance at a major program for two years or more. This criteria would allow a value position to move up the board if it also has need attached to it.
  13. This is how I have to feel you enter the draft. You pick a player where to two lines meet. Meaning if we really need a LB and we have this one graded as a top half pick of round one and he is available later, take him.
  14. I do not think the question is could Mayfield( or any of the top 4 QB's) fall to 12. Can the Bills wait till 12 for a franchise QB?
  15. Hopefully a repeat of the last time. Maybe Rodgers worse game ever as a pro.
  16. Richie came to Buffalo through FA. Guards are important to the offense, but are easier to find in the draft in rounds 3-5 or via FA. No reason to panic, i am glad the Bills found out now instead of a week before training camp.
  17. Fit is the piece that is rarely talked about. The big 6 names being thrown around this year all can be NFL quarterbacks. Stepping into the right situation for each individual will play a part in their success.
  18. That is a lot of pain. I can only hope everyone involved finds some peace. If writing helps Janine then so be it. Darryl was one of my favorites players as a kid. I met him on many occasions and he was by far one of the most gracious players. I hope he can find peace and all around him can forgive .
  19. As of today, What star player is missing from last years team for the 2018 season?
  20. A very cool story for me. I got to chat w Dave Caldwell a few times. I asked him about that draft. Caldwell was a scout at the time and in the meetings leading up to the pick. According to Caldwell It came down to the last second of Leaf vs Manning.
  21. Could it be the media is pushing the ‘Belichick wants a QB angle ‘? Over the 2 last months it has been non stop speculation on all things Pats.
  22. if the Bills FO watches all the tape and does the interviews and think Rudolf or Jackson CAN be the QB of the future for the Bills, i am ok with either player. Me in my armchair thinks that you do not need to reach hoping for something positive. The Bills have a ton of picks and who knows what can happen. Make the pick where need and bpa line up. Choosing a need so far off from bpa has lead to a lot of bad picks.
  23. I did not like Ridley's performance in the NC game. I think Ridley is a good WR that is benefiting somewhat on past prospects at the same position from the same college.
  24. I’m glad to see Roquan there. Class guy who will represent UGA well.
  25. Matthews is what he is. Solid not great, he could look better playing with Brady. Tom values hard workers and will reward them with targets.
