Other League wide injuries
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Earl Thomas is a tough deal. He will get a big deal someplace. A break shouldn’t mean any mobility issues long term. Best kind of injury if he was going to get one. -
Will the Bills ruin Josh Allen?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen is a ‘self made’ guy. He believes in himself. I don’t think he will suddenly lose his confidence. The coaches need to cut him loose and let him play his game. There was a play early on in the Packer game where Josh could of picked up the first down by running. He attempted a pass instead that was incomplete. This could be the only area he is getting asked not to run to much and get hurt. They also will need to find some wide receivers who now how to work WITH a scrambling quarter back. -
Give it time. McDermott isn’t firing a cord mid season unless they do something that involves misconduct. I think we all need to let Daboll learn his players and figure things out.
-
I always prefer playing a team that just won. I really like that the Titans are 3-1 and beat the Super Bowl champs. i watched Mariota in the playoffs last year and he looked slightly better than Tyrod. Not sure how he has improved this year yet. Daboll needs to get things going like he did in Minnie . Allen needs to run right now, I think it calms him down to run and hit.

Falcons D has lost 4 starters from its opening day . Stinks for them. The Ridley success and the amount of defenders the Falcons need to pay can help the Bills. Sanu could be a target for the Bills in FA. I’d love to see a first round wide receiver and two FA pickups at wide out. Sanu could be what we hoped Benjamin was.

Can we agree Benjamin needs to take some time off? -
How we can beat the Packers

Thank you for this. Question, do you think Ivory is better suited to run behind the line we have? I think McCoy is a superior talent and A great pass catcher. Maybe use McCoy more as a third down back today? This also could help him with snap count as he recovers. -
Who was the last TRUE #1 WR for the Bills?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watkins Stevie Evans Owens Moulds those guys where all borderline #1 wrs. honestly when did the Bills ever have a wideout going for like 1400 yards consecutive seasons? I think we get caught up watching guys throw up some crazy stats like Julio, Odell, and Brown etc...and forget that’s just a handful of guys. There is 25 other teams withou an ‘elite’ wideout. I would take a Moulds in his prime to develop with Allen. Think about what Allen could do with Reed and Lofton. -
There is a block party in Appleton. I think it’s gonna get weird here.

Just landed in Milwaukee, heading to Appleton.

Agree to disagree. I think they knew they were taking a step back. They knew paying high dollar for wide receivers isn’t wise when you have Tyrod. They used what they had to make trades and moves to get a QB finally and a LB. every guy you mentioned that was on the Bills is average. None of those are exceptional. Sammy makes an occasional special play, but he isn’t a top 25 wideout. They might be better than what is in Buffalo today, but I think in two years we will see something different at wide receiver.
-
They want to build their team. I can understand that . Those moves where made for the future. Goodwin couldn’t stay healthy. Woods didn’t want to be in Buffalo. Watkins was never going to be worth the deal he signed. Benjamin is a swing and a miss. Low risk on that. Same with Coleman. I believe Zay will be a fine slot receiver once more talent is around him. it takes time to build a team.

KB has a big day this Sunday
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Bronxbomber21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have zero tolerance for lack of effort. That’s when he lost me. I’m not a Cam fan, doubt I’d like playing with him. -
Last I heard he was trying out for the Pats. The Pats might be in a rougher spot than even the Bills with WR’s.
-
We just don’t have anyone better. I think they want a speed guy for Allen’s arm. Foster is all they could get this year.

He lost me on the hands recovery team effort. No excuse. He needs to get engaged with the process or get out. -

McDermott not pleased with WRs in practice
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And ask him to block Beanes number. kidding i couldn’t really hear what McDermott was saying but I am sure he is upset at the Wideouts. The way they played in the game this year is atrocious. They should be the hardest working bunch in practice. That body language was pretty lacks. Good for coach trying to fire them up. They are all NFL players, be one. -
Ivory looks like he has something left. He has great hands out of the backfield and I think he one cut and straight up field is good with this line. Murphy actually made himself known yesterday. Star is doing his job. Newhouse has been irrelevant. Bodine looked better than Groy yesterday. Bojo is a heck of a punter. as others said I think Beane is playing it smart. They will have a ton of money to spend next year and all the picks. i bet Beane will do some wheeling and dealing to make this team better. One thing they have shown is they will make movers when they think it is necessary.

Since the second half of the Chargers game the entire d line has looked stout. I am sure someone can give you stats from one of the football sites. I was always under the belief that D linemen eat o linemen up so linebackers can play clean. Kyle plays a penetrating style that call more attention to himself. Star is a space eater. If the run defense improves this year I am sure Star and Harrison will have a lot to do with it.

The positive of Mayfield being good
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very early. Baker will struggle just like every rookie has. He looked good, but after Tyrod I think anyone would of.
