Did McCoy Quit or Did the Bills Shelve Him?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He hit his head, he went face first into the turf and his helmet hit right above his face mask. Besides concussion wouldn’t be the injury to fake. And that was a game against a bad D you would of wanted McCoy to play good in. The Pats D is also giving up yards as well, so having him out there to showcase he has enough left makes more sense. -

Manning makes the Bills QB play look respectable. Good quarterbacks make average wide receivers look better. It doesn’t hurt that Hall has 3 very good wide receivers playing opposite him. -

Watch Sanu and Coleman. Two players the Bills could go after in FA. Remember McDermott knows offensive players from NFC South. -
Amari Cooper Traded To Dallas

Jerry is just in over his head. How long has he been thinking he is one player away? -
The year Buddy Nix got the GM job for the Bills I ran into Dave Caldwell who was with the Falcons at the time. I asked Dave if he put in for the Bills GM spot. Dave is from western New York and grew up a Bills fan. Dave told me he passed on it. Dimitrof warned Dave of going to the Bills at the time. Point being, of course guys will pass on the chance. I am willing to give McDermott and Beane one more complete year to show they can find the same level of talent on offense as they did on defense. McVay is a good coach who didn’t interview with the Bills. By your logic why isn’t Belichick the Bills coach?! Or any successful coach since Marv retired?

Complimentary Football vs. Derogatory Football
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you can be positive sending someone out the door, sure. Then stay positive. Sometimes you have to look someone in the eye and say ‘sorry it just didn’t work out’. I really hope McDermott has that conversation with Benjamin first thing tomorrow morning. -
McCoy getting hurt stinks. I hope he can play good next week against the Pats. He is your best piece that could get you a 3rd round pick. Benjamin isn’t going to get anything above a fifth round pick. Most likely a sixth. The best you could get for him is a player in return. Keep Hughes.

If McDermott doesn’t do something about Benjamin than he needs to be fired. I am not a ‘fire the coach’ guy, and I like Beane and McDermott. I don’t like the fact that our coach isn’t holding players accountable. -

Anderson. -
Kelvin Benjamin is the worse contract because he isn’t trying. I wouldn’t cut him . I would IR him for mental issues! Ha

How many yards will Anderson have Sunday

I am referring to cut downs. As for draft day, Daboll was around but very new. The entire offensive staff was getting to know each other and working together. Not saying continuity will make everything better, but having the same people in the same room for a few years is worth a shot. It would be a different approach.

Predict the score: Bills at Colts
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Got to start fast. I like 24-20 Bills -
Kinda feel bad for Clay, never played with an elite qb. This just feels like Kyles last year. I think Kyle is giving it everything he has and it is barely enough. A great players last season. Trade back in the draft is always a good idea when you believe you have a quarterback but need a lot of players around him. I think Beane and McDermott focused on defense first and got a quarterback . I think they will now turn their attention to offense. They have their work cut out for themselves.

We finally have a great chance at the #1 overall pick
atlbillsfan1975 replied to LFC24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the defense gives up you are right. If the Bills did end up with the number one pick I’d trade back with anyone I could to pick up an extra first and a couple other picks. They need to build the entire offense, besides qb. -
BPA meets ‘need’ in round one. Bills need a wide receiver bad. I’d give them a pass if they went with a DE pass rusher. Hughes and Murphy are playing great now, not sure how long that will last. Round two again is BPA and ‘need’. Here though you widen needs to include oline. 3-5 is getting value. If you see a name still there that you believe can start, grab him. 6-7 prospect. Someone you watched tape on and see what he does right and what needs to be coached up. Take a chance. High reward low risk guys. Nobody is expecting a 6-7 rounder to play for a year or two. Get someone who had ideal size and speed/strength for the position from a small school who can hopefully adjust to NFL. This is kinda what I saw the Bills do last draft and think it’s working out pretty darn good. Rookies are going to be rookies. Where else in the world do you expect a guy that’s been on the job for 3 months to be as good as a 10 year employee? I’m glad all of us showed up to work, and on day one are employee of the year.
