  1. I personally wish D.K. all the best. If he turns out to be the next young T.O then Seattle got a bargain. I have nothing against D.K. and will not root against him. The Bills had a lower draft value on him than the second round. Has anyone in Buffalo media asked Beane what grade they had on D.K.?
  2. Great article and shows scouts and front offices are getting more savvy. This was a weak WR class. I think Beane looked at who was available in the draft and felt the team already had players who possessed that skill set. He didn’t waste a pick on a player he knew wouldn’t have a great chance to separate himself from the others. Another sign Beane knew better than us what was going on.
  3. Absolutely not the same as the Peterman situation. We have guys in the wide receiver group who have shown they can produce well beyond the AJ level. Please tell me who the Bills needed to grab? This years wide receiver class in the draft is weak. There is zero can’t miss guys. Zero well rounded can do it all wide receivers in this class. Allen has better weapons and more time to develop with them in camps. Thank you for starting a good conversation.
  4. This is exactly right. To have a front office who sees a drafts strengths and weakness ahead of time. Sees depth and value can be had in different rounds is what has been lacking. Beane and McDermott are on the same page. I think McDermott and his OC are working together to identify needs and expressing those to the front office and they are executing. Great things ahead for this team.
  5. I don’t think so. Singletary will be there and most likely Gore and Yeldon. Everyone else I think is 50/50 for one reason or the other.
  6. Sure did and rightfully so. You think the Falcons picking the Tackle out of Washington late in the first was a curveball? I see the Bills didn’t have Ford in for an official visit. I love the pick and think we got a guy who is going to play hard and want to be good. Seems quite and determined. You need a couple guys like that on the line. One leader and a bunch of guys who buy into it being five working as one. Oline is the most critical unit on the football field. Nice to see our GM understand that.
  7. Was the ‘try’ to trade for Brown anything more than a phone call to the players agent by Beane?
  8. Would be very nice. Freeman is an amazing back but can’t stay healthy. Let’s hope Singletary can stand up. I like this pick. A year to break in and then feature back in 2020.
  9. Hard to really tell totally. Tyrod was not an accurate passer. Peterman...enough said and Allen was a rookie. Benjamin was a total failure. Foster could be a huge success. Signed two vets to help and I think he is about to make another pickup today or tomorrow.
  10. I think it is why the thread for Oliver isn’t more pages. There is two or three posters dying on the ‘we need weapons for Allen’ Hill. They want to reach for WR’s and TE’s. Beane is a smart guy who understands how to build a team. I don’t think there was a ton of luck occurring for Beane to pick Oliver. Beane saw who was in front of him and didn’t panic. He held his spot and got the guy he wanted. I think we all learned(if we didn’t know already) as it gets closer to the draft believe less what you hear. If feels like The most accurate projections occur shortly after combine.
  11. love a trade back and then get an extra 3 rd round pick. Don’t freak out if Beane picks Rock Ya Sin today.
  12. They will get another QB soon enough. My natural reaction will be to fear the worst. We shall see.
  13. Who could the Pats pick and we would of laughed at it? just think if they had picked Lock, we’d be saying it’s 20 more years of remarkable QB play.
  14. They were never taking a TE!!! Beane knows you don’t take a TE top 10.
  15. This was the right pick. Bills now have a playmaker on all three levels on D.
  16. This board needs more posters like this. Do a little research and get some facts. Thank you. No freaking way Julio or Ridley are in play. Dimitrof loves his picks to a fault. Blank loves Julio. Falcons drafted Ridley last year to be the 1B to Julio’s 1A. Sanu is also a true pro. Quiet hard worker. Good vet to have around. He plays with fire on Sunday. If Beane can get something else thrown in good, either way I would be ok with it.
  17. You guys dumping on Sanu must not watch a lot of Falcons games. Sanu would be worth the swap if a new deal is worked out. Sanu had over 800 yards and 60 catches last year playing the 3 rd wide receiver. Sanu is a big guy who fights for the ball and is a perfect fit for Allen. I sometimes wonder if a poster puts an opinion up here and then people just go along with it because they have little information of their own.
  18. Bills already have Jake Matthews level of tackle in Dawkins. I wouldn’t be upset with the pick. Bills need to build both lines.
  19. Bandit, I won’t argue with you knowledge of talent. I don’t see Beane taking a WR or TE with their first pick. The trade backs and 2 picks in the first are nice. I think Beane has set up the draft to grab impact linemen early and then go bpa/need at all other levels.
  20. I don’t see Beane going anywhere near this. Too many good healthy players will be available. If Gary is there in the second and Beane has procured an extra pick, then possibly.
  21. Isn’t it great to have confidence in our front office for once in a long time? They may get it wrong but it won’t be because they take a Tight end or running back. Beane has set it up this draft nicely.
