Move Daboll to the box
atlbillsfan1975 replied to atlbillsfan1975's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is very effective. -
Josh is not the problem. 9 new starters on offense, and the OC are the two biggest issues. Josh is going to win the Bills a ton of games. Every game is a learning experience for Josh.

Move Daboll to the box

I don’t. The point was that the previous ways of managing young men has changed. It’s changed everywhere. The football field might be one of the last places to see the change, but it’s happening. Daboll losing his cool won’t be received very well for very long. -
Yep. Snaps are great. Getting arguably the best play maker(besides Josh) the ball more would be better.

Move Daboll to the box

Ok. My bad. Well that game last year was the Colts ‘get right’ game. Kind of like yesterday may turn out to be the Eagles. It just doesn’t seem to be working this year. Play calling has not been great. Maybe the change up will help. -
I remember hearing that Daboll was going to move down to the field for games this year over the summer. At first I thought this was a good idea IF he and Josh have a good relationship. After watching them through the first half of the season, I don’t believe that’s the case. Id like to see someone who is a bit calmer and more positive as the first interaction Josh has when he comes off the field. Daboll yelling at Josh isn’t good for anyone. Many of us guys 40+ are managing a new generation. It’s not like it was before, even on the football field. Part of this is the amount of exposure and cameras everywhere. I don’t see Daboll’s style working very well with younger players. Daboll in the booth allows him some space from Josh after a mistake. The QB coach on the sideline keeps Josh focused and up. Daboll can rip Josh in the film room the next day away from cameras.

Does McD survive this year?

And in the mean time stick his butt up in the box during games and out the qb coach on the sideline with Allen. -
As we are trying to eat out Turkey. Not cool NFL! Ha

Is Star Lotulelei A Liability on the DL?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the front office should be looking for run stoppers. This team is in desperate need of them. Star takes plays off. McDermott has them on a pretty good rotation, yet Star still seems to be gassed or he is out of shape or he just can’t play the position. Take your pick. Everything is fine on the interior of the d line. Lee Smith doesn’t deserve to be on the team. Give me a rookie with upside like Sweeney making dumb penalties over a Vet making them. Smith is good for a penalty a game and it usually comes at the worst time. I am hoping that at some point McDermott will have some leadership that he has cultivated that has talent as well. -

Depends on if you are including the ‘veteran process’ money that guys like him, DiMarco, And Lee Smith get. Vets who aren’t worth their dollars on play alone, but what the coach views as valuable in the locker room. -
Daboll has too many plays and over complicates things. Daboll time and time again has the wrong players executing plays that other players are better suited for. Daboll is about to lose Josh and then this is going to turn bad. I hope I’m wrong. The best place for Daboll is the booth. Bring down Allen’s QB coach to the sideline. Allen doesn’t need a hot headed negative guy on the sideline right when he comes off the field after a mistake. McDermott needs to understand Josh is 10x more important than Daboll.

Dallas is going to destroy the Bills on both LOS. It’s like the early 90’s again where the NFC is the more physical conference. The Bills will have a shot against Denver because Flacco is a statue and it’s at home. Baltimore is going to be tough. The game that concerns me is the next Dolphins game. The Miami players know this will probably be Miami’s best shot at a win with how close they played the Bills in Buffalo.

Week 9: Bills (-10.5) vs Redskins

OJ Howard is apparently available

TE isn’t a position of need. Kroft is good. Knox is young and shown flashes of ability. we need an OC who knows how to use the talent has. -

You have a different perception of the play. I’m fine with it. Star just isn’t living up to his contract. -
Our next 4 games are very winnable
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Today showed the Bills are an average to slightly above average team. The Bills could win all 4 or lose all 4. To think anything else shows you are a blind loyal fan, which is fine, but you aren’t speaking from reason. -

Setting aside the terrible phrasing of what I think was a question, yes the Bills could lose to Washington. Washington has had extra time off. Haskins could come out and run all over this defense with AP. Allen could turn the ball over, either fumbling or throwing picks. Daboll could call another terrible game with formations like DiMarco split out wide, so the offense is playing 10 on 11. Lee Smith could cost us another penalty in the red zone. Smith could also cost the team a timeout because he doesn’t know what he is doing. If the Bills and the fans haven’t learned that any team can beat them in the NFL by now, then I don’t know what to tell you. Gut check time at One Bills Drive. Unfortunately we are stuck with Daboll till season ends, nobody on that staff has play calling experience. -
A Message of Calm from a Josh Allen Skeptic...
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
100% agree. Daboll is McDermott problem ultimately. I saw McDermott listening in on the offensive play calling today with the game play script in his hand. I don’t believe he has always been doing that. Correct me is I am wrong. -
Or having him as the wheel route option? Or having Beasley run deep outs for a couple of games. Daboll just over thinks things. If he was a good Offensive mind he would of been a HC by now. McDermott needs to find a young innovative guy who is calming and positive for Allen. Daboll seems like a hot head and negative.
