  1. League got this one right. indefinitely was the right way to go. Puts it to rest for the 2019 season and allows the league to check the feel of owners, and teams in offseason. personally Garrett getting an entire year seems right. He would be eligible to come back in week 10 of 2020.
  2. Initially maybe, but as time goes on Sean would do well for himself to learn and be involved with the offensive side of the ball. That’s what good HC’s do. Look at Belichick.
  3. I know this is splitting hairs but every time I hear Sean say ‘we want to score points’ , I wish he would say ‘score touchdowns’. Most likely this is a reaction by me from the last games finally drive.
  4. So basically the same record as the Bills with a ton more high priced FA signings. The problem with the Browns is ownership right on down. Honestly Art had the right idea when he left that city and went to Baltimore and won a Super Bowl.
  5. I just watched it. Ridiculous. Garrett should be done for this year and conditionally reinstated next year. No room for any of that in the game. I hope the Browns don’t put his fine up on a TV, some people will then thick the Browns or NFL is the problem. SMH
  6. If it was consistent with team practices than he knew what was going to happen. His actions led to the outcome. Maybe the punishment was excessive but allowing the player a pass only leads to more actions of the same. I am not familiar with the player and how mush his salary is. How big is that fine in percentage to his pay? Where is the TV? Who sees that? Having said that I do believe Jets have a culture and locker room issue that seems to be growing under Gase not getting better.
  7. This is about the Jets being a dysfunctional franchise?
  8. When you boil it down this is EXACTLY what happened. Then he comes back and plays the victim. Do things the way you knew they needed to be done and none of this happens.
  9. It was the clock management that makes some people, myself included, question the intentions. The play call wasn’t the issue. It appeared Josh was running the no huddle pretty good and had some rhythm. To then huddle, stand around and allow roughly 20 seconds to tick away is the issue . I also like the back shoulder pass to be completed when it is more in the natural flow of the drive. my two cents. Ok, but who stoped the offense on Sunday during the last drive? Fearless is a mindset. I would argue that for a mindset to truly be adopted by all needed, it must be displayed by all. In fact it must first displayed by the coaches to show players the way. you can’t have a conservative approach and then expect those executing the plan to play differently.
  10. NYJ 41-10 Miami 42-17 Minnie 27-6 How do you define a blow out?
  11. Exactly right. Playing for a 53 yard field goal after your team marches down the field is the opposite fearless. Did Sean sit the coaches down and say the same thing? Did Sean realize he has to play to win?! I soooo want to believe we will see a different team against Miami. It really is time to show they can oppose their will on a team like Miami. Last year the Bills blew out a couple teams starting this time of year. Be nice to see them do it again.
  12. Every team will probably be there to show no sign of trying to keep him out of the league. This seems like another ploy by him and his agent to strengthen their case against the NFL. For me this entire issue has always been about freedom and what makes this country great. Kaep exorcised his right to freedom of speech. To protest something he believes in. Kaep then opted out of his contract. Another freedom afforded to him. Then the men and women of the NFL decided that his play wasn’t worth the distraction it would bring. This is a right the owners have.
  13. I hear ya, it was an honest question to spark some chatter. I must admit I am not sure how Lawson stacks up against Murphy in the stat category or when you watch the all 22 tape. With my eyes it appears Murphy is making tackles yards down the field and able to get crashed down on outside runs. On the contrary I see Lawson more stout on run defense.
  14. I really wish we had a better starting DE tandem. Like Hughes was making $9 mil and then a stud pass rushing end making $15-$18mil. Not banging on Hughes, he plays sound football but his days of disrupting a game seem behind him. Murphy should be a rotational guy getting a ton fewer snaps.
  15. Murphy is not living up to his price tag. Do you think the Bills would limit Lawson’s snaps so his stats don’t grow and impact resigning?
  16. I don’t think the Pats will face the Niners but if they do expect Shanny to get a few questions about being up 28-3 and not running the ball.
  17. In some ways it has in others it has not. I’d rank it about the same. It feels worse than it is because I was expecting it to progress through out the season. Still hoping!
  18. Brady also coached under Sean Payton with NO for a year. Brady just turned 30 this year. Bills would have to pry him away from LSU, Coach O is already lobbying for a contract extension for Brady. I like what Brady has done for Burrow’s And bet he could do similar with Josh.
  19. Go get Joe Brady from LSU as your OC for next year. Pay the man a ton and know that he will probably be a HC by 2022, if everything goes right. Brady is a William and Mary’s Grad like McDermott. It will take some different thinking for Sean. We need a young OC who can relate and coach Josh. Daboll isn’t the guy. Sean is going to have to learn the offensive side of the ball and game management to be successful as a HC. A young enthusiastic OC just might be what Sean needs. Leslie can handle a lot of the D day to day work.
  20. The entire approach on game day is not to lose. I don’t doubt Josh is being coached this way. I don’t doubt Josh feels he can’t make mistakes. After watching Daboll’s reaction in the early games after interceptions, Josh is being coached all wrong. Can you imagine what Sean Peyton would be doing with Josh? What Andy Reed could make out of Josh’s arm? Yesterday proved it, we have a coach who plays scared. This is a HC problem. I really wish someone would get to Sean and tell him to cut it loose and start trying to win games! You can’t win games in the third quarter trying to run out the clock. You have a better statistical chance of making a first down than kicking a 53 yard field goal. Sean is a very smart guy, I hope he sees the errors in his ways. It’s correctable and then this team can make a little run and maybe win a playoff game. To do that, Josh will need to be Josh. Slinging the ball around. The defense would be better at defending a short field after an interception if Josh has also led the team on 4 touchdown drives. Only way this team really wins anything is Josh being the guy he was after the injury last year.
  21. Yep, this is a must win game for the Bills. I am interested in seeing how they respond. Do they rise up and beat an inferior opponent to keep their playoff chances alive? Will the team rally around each other. This is when the process will get tested. If the Bills lose or barely win, then Buffalo will struggle to win enough games to make the playoffs. If Buffalo comes out and beats Miami soundly it bodes well for them to make the playoffs.
  22. Allen saw the matchup with Brown and thought he could hit the back shoulder pass like he did against the Jets. Brown even said after the game yesterday he should of broke off the route. I still would of rather seen the throw to Beasley be the first read. By the look of that Beasley could of picked up the first and maybe 5-6 more yards. Then call the time out and hit the field goal from about 40 yards away. For Beasley to be that open it’s almost as if the Browns schemes for it. They knew Garrett would get to Allen and not allow him time to go from the right to the left of the field. If pre snap Allen sees the coverage then he could of made the throw to Beasley. Allen is young and he will get better. I still feel Daboll is the wrong OC for a young developing QB like Allen. His system is complex and puts a ton on a QB. Look at what Roman is doing in Baltimore with Jackson. You are going to tell me that Allen wouldn’t look like a better QB with a better OC?
  23. I think they can. It won’t be easy but they will get to 10 wins.
