Why Does Edelman Never Get Flagged for Taunting?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to RaoulDuke79's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just don’t get it. As an organization has there ever been one that has more on and off the field controversy than NE over the last 19 years? The owner as zero class and feels he is above it all. This attitude then seeps down into every other area of the franchise. His wife has to be rolling over in her grave as to what Bob has become. The entire Pats organization feels it is ‘win at all costs and make someone catch you or stop you from cheating’. Edelman is the worst offender as a player since Harrison. Well maybe Gronk, but Harrison was a complete dirt bag cheap shot artist. -
Why Does Edelman Never Get Flagged for Taunting?

Oh my gosh, you are right, totally forgot about that! So it was just that one time. I am sure Pats fans buy whatever story he gave for it, I don’t recall. I’m sure Pats fans also believe he looks like he does from all natural and league approves substances. Yep, totally forgot about that. Funny the league did it after the Pats lost the SB to Philly, not after they won one. So it’s like it didn’t really matter. -

He is a zero class player. Nobody likes him in the league. When he finally gets caught using PED’s our resident Pats posters here will tell us it was a first time offense. Just like Belichick only cheated the one time he got caught. Brady didn’t instruct the ball boy to tamper will footballs. Kraft had no clue he was getting illegal massages from girls involved in sex trafficking...etc Edit- forgot about the suspension last year for PED’s . I should of said ‘ Pats fans will try to tell us that was the only time he took it and it was by accident’. -
I think we, the fans, just wanted it more than the team.

I think you are exactly right. The players feeds off the coaches. The players are not dumb, they could see the game plan being presented. Particularly on defense. Bills ran a very vanilla D with a few basic blitzes. To me that was all about holding back for the playoffs. I think we then saw that translate into a less than aggressive individual play. I can’t recall more missed tackles in a game this year. Maybe the Eagles game? I will trust Sean has a plan for why he is doing this. I would expect similar next week against the Jets. Let’s hope the team can turn it back up in the playoffs. If the Bills has played the same D effort and scheme as they did in week 4 yesterday coupled with the same Bills offense as yesterday, it would of been a blowout. -
Will we be back in NE in 4 weeks?

Couldn’t agree more. They aren’t good enough to beat a team with a mature consistent offense. KC will beat them again. -

I’d think you’d want Houston to lose here and then again next week to Tenn. meanwhile Tenn has to win tomorrow. -

Good point, today would be a great day to have Yeldon over Gore. -

Let’s Freakin Go!! Bills are the heir apparent to dominate the division. Today we pry the AFC East crown out of the Old Man’s hands and next week we put it on our heads! This sets up perfect for the Bills. There really is no pressure on the Bills to win. I do think every person that bleeds Red White and Blue wants this game from Kim and Terry down to all of us fans. I know Sean and Beane want it, and the players do too. Let’s take the fight to them and knock them in the dirt. -

Just messing with you, not offended. I will take Edmunds and Milano over any of their LB’s because those two are 3 down backers. I’m not sure which one of NE’s backers excels at run and pass defending. Now after our starting two it’s a drop. Alexander is actually exactly the type of backer Belichick loves and has, Alexander can’t cover, but he can play the run and rush the passer ok. You are right we do want the same thing and today it shows up!! -

No way would I switch rosters with theirs. Give me Gilmore for Levi, sure. That’s it for me. Rest of that Pats D is not better than the Bills. I have watched them numerous games. No thank you. Kind of offended you said this, but each their own. ? -

Ok, the Secondary is good, but the rest of the D is average. Here’s the thing about those LB’s. They are responsibility specific. Meaning they can be exposed. Hightower is terrible in coverage, great run responsibility LB. Expose it. Bills need to go no huddle with a set personal like, Singletary, Beasley, Brown, Kroft, and Knox. Bills can run and short pass an entire drive with this package. Jet sweeps with Knox, short slants with Beasley, Singletary up the gut, and then Brown or Kroft on a deep post. Elite or Great defenses make adjustments during a game. The Bills have. The Pats D looked lost and got bullied by the Ravens and Houston. -

Pretty sure we want KC to win out
atlbillsfan1975 replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It does appear that KC would be a tougher draw than Houston. KC and Houston scare me more than anyone else because I haven’t seen the Bills matchup against them yet. I have seen a few media people already saying Buffalo beats Houston. Houston is going to be ready to show they belong. It’s the playoffs, every team is probably going to be a tough out. -

That’s been NE all year. They feed of another teams mistake and use the momentum. Even in that Giants game early in the year. NE is an average talent team that plays smart football. NE can not line up and beat the top half of the teams in the league if those teams play smart. It’s been trending this way for the last few years. This year the Pats age and lack of depth is really showing. I hope our young much more talented roster comes out loose and ready, it shouldn’t really be a ball game. -
Daboll and ST have been saving something.

You could be right. I liked the game Daboll called at Dallas. Let’s see more of that. -
Welcome to the bandwagon, Rich Eisen!

He caught himself and mentioned Singletary quickly after saying Gore’s name. I’m with you though if he had just mentioned Gore he would of lost a ton of credibility. Its really not unheard of for the Bills to make a run. D will keep us in it, and it will be on Josh to make a handful of impact plays to carry us through. -
Congrats to John Brown 1k receiving for the year

A Different Feeling This Year
atlbillsfan1975 replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great stuff my friend! Have a blast, and cheer on the Bills. I was in middle school when the Bills team started turning the page in the late 80’s. My cousin and I would watch the games with our fathers. Back then we had to go to sports bars with our dads in Atlanta to see the games. Even then trying to get the Bills on a TV was usually a hassle. Things were different back then, we went into every game expecting to win. We as fans expected that someone on our team would make a play and that would be that. I think that’s what I notice more than anything is that confidence. When Beane and McDermott talk about changing the culture I think that’s what they wanted. Hard working football players who were confident and resilient. It is a different time and this Pats game marks the change for good. When we look back, years down the road, we will point to this season and this game in particular as the change.
