I understand that you are looking at the entirety of Belichicks times there. However, the thread is about a shift now. Fact is Belichick hasn’t picked good over the past for years, even when he did have a full allotment of picks. The roster is against. Trusting Bill to rebuild it isn’t very wise. Bills moves were based on having the greatest QB. Then it shifted to trying to win with a game manager QB and a running game and a good defense. The running game hasn’t been impressive, Brady really isn’t even good enough to manage games, and the defense is good but not great. The thread is about now and moving forward. I would also ask, who was still helping Bill 10-15 years ago? As time as gone on Bill has assumed more control is my understanding.

We can hope for a run on QB’s to help a few guys slide down. DE, CB, or WR in the first. Beane has never traded back in the first round. Gentleman never traded back in Carolina when Beane was with him.

Pass on high priced Henry. It appears Beane can find a very good back in the third round. I think he can do it again. And save 14.5 million a year and put it towards another player or players at a higher value position. DE, CB, WR, and OL. we need a complimentary back to go with Singletary from the draft. One inexpensive vet like another Tenn player, Dion Lewis.

In 2017 they traded away a bunch of picks. Other than that they have had plenty of picks. In 2018 they had two first rounders. Neither one of those have made anywhere near the impact Buffalo’s 2 2018 first rounders have made.

Go look at their last 4 years worth of picks, which is relevant to now and then next 3-4 years. Most of those players you mentioned are aging quickly or out of the league.

Is a guy like Hill that hard to find you would give up draft picks? He wasn't drafted out of college. Do you want to use one of your 46 on a jack of all trades master of none? I think Hill works well in the NO system. I doubt he would have similar success with the Bills.

Because in the other 16 games Trent was average to bad. If the league average for cap allocation for the DE position as a whole is 15.3 million I don’t think the Bills should be paying 1 player almost $9 million who had below average production.

The problem with the Pats is it isn’t just the QB position. Belichick is an average drafter at best. That roster is old in a ton of places. Also we are hearing more and more grumblings about the Patriot way not being enjoyable at all. Couple that with the fact they won’t be winning a SB soon and Belichick is on his way to being done. Guys would go to NE because they felt like they could get a ring. The player would endure Belichick so they could be a champion. Now with Brady quickly becoming a shell of the player he was that isn’t going to be the case. Not to mention Tom isn’t taking the news well that he is old and can’t play like he use too. We don’t see Breed or any of the other older QB’s treating their wide receivers like Brady does. NE is done. It’s going to be fun watching them get pummeled next year.
