Richard Sherman post game -- 'nuff said!
John in Jax replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If there is any such thing as "Karma" (and I personally don't think there is), Sherman will get burned by P. Manning in a couple of weeks, and come off looking like a total fool. We shall see. -
Richard Sherman post game -- 'nuff said!
John in Jax replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's no denying that Sherman acted like a classless thug after the game. What's even worse, IMO, is what he did on the field, immediately after the play, by taunting the Niners and acting like a total jerk. Hopefully, the NFL will fine him. As said in an earlier post, this type of thug-like activity is NOT good for the game. -
When Colston caught that last pass, he easily could have just stepped out of bounds, and they would have had 4-6 secs. left on the clock for a Hail Mary try. Idiot move for sure by Colston. But you've hit on something which is very easy to see, and has been easy to see for years, but almost no one will say it, because they will be branded a "bigots" MOST of the players in the NFL are NOT very smart. There's probably five or less players on each team who actually would be considered intelligent. Of course, the QB has to be intelligent, or the offense will stink. But MOST players are there solely because of their athletic ability, NOT their smarts. How many times do you see defensive backs/safeties do absolutely idiotic, retarded moves on coverages? Yes, they are indeed DUMB. LOL

A Question About The National Championship Game
John in Jax replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMHO, JW didn't really do all that much for the comeback. Did he have anything to do with the turning point.....the KO return for TD? No. Did he throw a short pass, where Auburn defenders screwed up big time, and it turned into a long gainer? Yep. Did he toss a very short pass up high, so his 6'5" receiver could go up and get it? Yeah, he did. In the big picture, yeah, he was at the helm for the comeback, so he gets the credit. But I have seen a LOT more done by QBs in late game heroics. -
Wonder if this game (so far) has anything to do with FSU's very weak strength of schedule this year? LOL

EJ Manuel on Sports Science, not bad at all
John in Jax replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Speaking of QBs.....anyone see the piece this morning on ESPN about how Trent Dilfer and a couple other west coast QB coaches spent some time working with Tim Tebow? It was pretty interesting. Dilfer seemed to think that Tebow's throwing mechanics have been fixed. What are the Bills waiting for!? LOL -

Interesting....so now the alcohol is being blamed for this. That doesn't make it "OK." I would guess that most drunks, statistically speaking, don't willfully involve strangers in their drunken physical antics. And being slightly bumped in a bar, or on the train/subway, or in a crowded shopping setting, etc. is WAY different than this. I think you know that. Also, is everyone sure that every one of the dunking group is/was indeed "drunk?" Maybe some of them are just young punks who, as stated earlier, have no respect for other people, and just get a cheap thrill & some attention out of doing it...."Look at me, I'm Cool!" I mean young people have never been known to do anything just to get attention, right? *Rolls Eyes* Or maybe they're just doing it for the express purpose of taping it and putting it out on the net? -
Playoffs : SF 49ers at GB Packers

Yep, went right BETWEEN the two outstretched arms of a diving Packer. That is "Lady Luck" being on San Fran's side for sure. -
Playoffs : SD Chargers at Cincy Bengals

The sad part is that if Lewis gets fired, he'll probably get snatched up by another team asap (for HC job). The ole coaching carousel! -

P. Rivers > A. Dalton, obviously. LOL -
Yep. There's definitely a reason why he can never win the big one.

So no one who got "dunked on" spilled their own beverage that they were holding? Highly doubt it. And again, when physical contact is made, that is a BIG deal. Take it to ANY other setting in life, and see if there would be any repercussions from jumping up on someone's back. Why doesn't someone (in here) who thinks this is "OK" go into Target with a nerf ball, and start jumping up on the backs of people and see if anything happens. You don't even need the "front man" to hold the backboard & rim; just spike the ball to the floor. Be sure to report back....after you get bailed out. LOL -
Playoffs : KC Chiefs at Indy Colts
John in Jax replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Posted in the shout box also, but how did the refs miss that blatant holding around the neck by #79 of the Chiefs? Seemed very obvious on the replay. ETA: Just saw the highlights from the 1st half....On the shovel pass TD by KC, #79 does the exact same hold move...right arm up around the neck of the Indy rusher. Actually, this time, his arm moves from around the guy's neck and it becomes a hands to the face infraction. Not sure why the Referee is not seeing these. LOL -

Agree with the above 100%. It really is a total lack of respect for another human being, and yes, if there is ANY physical contact, it could be construed as assault. Like someone above said, what if someone gets banged on the head by an elbow of a "dunker", and gets a bruise on their head? THAT would be assault, no different than just walking up to someone and slugging them in the head. The spilt beer, or any other drink for that matter, sure would leave me highly perturbed. I also wonder if they ever did this to someone who got really angry (and combative) about it, but just edited that out of their YT post. -
"Green Bay, as of Wednesday morning, was about 8,500 tickets short of a sellout, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Tom Silverstein. If the Packers don't sell out by 3:40 p.m. Thursday, the game will be blacked out on local TV from Green Bay to Milwaukee. That's almost inconceivable. The Press-Gazette said the Packers have sold out every regular-season game since 1959 (a playoff game in January of 1983, at the end of the strike-shortened season, did not). And yet they are having troubles selling out a playoff game a week after Aaron Rodgers returned from injury to beat the Bears for the NFC North title." Anyone who thinks that right now, today, Marrone is a better NFL head coach, even with Cowher being away for so long, has no clue about rating NFL coaches. I mean, it's not even close. Maybe....maybe, 10 years from now, if Marrone establishes a winning record and/or some division/conference titles & a SB win, then you could argue about it. But right now? Get real.
-
Marrone is just another weak HC for the Bills. It's not like he was tearing things up in college, so I was baffled when they hired him. But it continues under RW.....a culture of losing. And it won't change until they bring in an experienced, NFL head coach.

Let the criticisms of everything begin

Virtually every southerner dips every fried food, including wings, in Ranch dressing. Most don't even get celery with their wings order; they just dip the wings in Ranch all night long. It's disgusting! LOL -

Was flipping through my many Showtime channels last night and came across a recently taped "live" concert by the Rolling Stones. OMG, just RETIRE already! They don't really need any more money, do they!? I guess what's even worse is the many suckers who shell out big dough to go see those geriatrics. PT Barnum was correct. LOL -
Lewis to start / Manuel out

I haven't seen every Bills game this year, but have seen most of them. From what I've seen, Lewis has been better than EJ. What's the consensus here? -
2hd half thread Bills at Cheatriots
John in Jax replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He isn't. He was a loser at SU, and he will be a loser at Buffalo. Bills need a real, experienced NFL coach, like Cowher, Dungy, or Gruden. They continue to hire chumps. It's very frustrating for us fans. -
"But hey, go ahead and disagree because you saw a few drives...." = provication [sic] You made a fallacious assumption even after I had already posted that I was watching the game closely. You either a) can't comprehend simple statements, or b) chose to ignore my simple statement, and then take an unwarranted shot for no good reason. In any case, Stay Classy, my man.
-
First you made an incorrect ASSumption (by saying I only watched a few drives), now you come with the condescension. Stay classy, my friend. LOL. Yeah, I saw it. As well as every other pass too, including all the incompletions. I guess we'll see if I'm right in a couple weeks. I think they'll be one and out in the playoffs.
-
LMAO here. I closely watched the WHOLE GAME today...EVERY play....at home, from my couch, with NO distractions. But YOU know more than me, right? What a tool.
