Yep. The truth is that during the regular season this year, the Jags beat exactly ONE team that made it to the playoffs (the Steelers). Their schedule was very weak this year, thus their "great" defense is a bit of a mirage. To wit, giving up 545 yards and 42 points in a playoff game. Did the great defenses of yesteryear of the Ravens, or the Bears, or the Steel Curtain ever do that (or even close to that)? I doubt it.

I like the post. He has just as much right to post in here as anyone else. His years of dedication to the team, and probably tens of thousands of dollars spent, certainly justify his opinions, but in reality, even that is not needed. Why criticize and/or try to psychoanalyze? Some of y'all are just sad, really sad.

Just curious....I wonder how much influence does the head coach have on an OC during the game? Do HCs frequently override the OC and make the call themselves? What about QBs? Obviously, you would think if you have a veteran QB, and a young OC, there'd be times when the QB knows which play would be best, no? For example, the Steelers' calls on those 2 fourth and one plays yesterday.....did Tomlin have anything to do with those? What about Ben R? It'd be really interesting to know the stats regarding this matter, but I doubt that they're kept. Probably the only way to know would be to poll all the OCs in the league, and I'm sure no one would participate.

The worst part about all of this is that if the Jags hold on to win, I am going to have to put up with obnoxious coworkers and fawning/pathetic local media reports all this coming week! Leading up to this game, they were saying that there was going to be a "Teal Takeover" by Jag fans in Pittsburgh, and I think I've seen about 100 Jag fans there in the stands. While last week, we had thousands of fans here in town, and they totally did not even cover it, and actually had the audacity to say that the Jag fans came out in throngs, and that the Jags had a sold out stadium cheering them on...it was sickening! LOL
