I don't like fitz but to rate him below Moore is dumb. I would take fitz over Moore any day. He did a great job the first 4 games. He has laid a big turd since "the contract". You could blame it on the line, but I think he is making dumb decisions as well. You are going to get picked when you throw it he ball into triple coverage or when your receivers tip the ball to the defense.

Genius!!! Don't pay the number one receiver who has the potential, but pay the guys will little to no potential starter money. Yes, Fitz is in that pile. Who knows maybe we can be like the Chargers.

Ok dont panic. Ralph Wilson at LT, Russ Brandon at C and we can hire the old guy from the six flags commercial to replace Florance and Mckelvin. Thanks for the info. I have been wondering what he has been doing since the "deal". They needed to resign him but for not that much. They signed him to a contract that makes him the "QB of the Buffalo Bills" for at least next year and maybe into the next. But even if they draft a guy in the next draft, Fitz needed to be the bridge to that guy. So the front office has given big contracts to Kelsey, Merriman, Fitzpatrick, and Williams. At least Fitz is still playing, i guess. They will probably let SJ walk and trade Jackson.

fitz is the new edwards. cant throw deep. defenses know this and stuff the short passes. then he sits there like a statue. Why does he care, hes getting paid. I also think the DC needs to be fired. He was terrible last year, terrible this year. Although again, I think fitz is far from the answer, but he will be there at least the next two seasons.

They would have to get a QB that could make those throws. Until then, other teams will continue to press, take away the short pass game and all they really have to do is stop the run game. You force 3 and outs all the time and no matter how good the defense, they get tired from being on the field and start looking like the Bills today. As for the offense not being a problem, they have been a problem for the last 3-4 games. Really flat. YOu could argue, but look at it. They really havent been able to move the ball until Jackson rips off a big gain and then the defense gets tired. Fitz won't throw deep and since his payday, has been taking crappy chances. The first pick today was directly into double coverage. HE had no business trying to stick the ball in there. The throw to Johnson was just a go up and get it and thats what Johnson did. Im glad we got rid of Edwards. No confidence, but Fitz has to much confidence. He just is not that good and now the Bills are stuck with him for at least the next 2 years until they realize they done messed up (Think the Kelsey deal last year or Merriman).

Jets are playing us good. Fitz won't go down field, and the Jets are stopping the run and short passes. That forces us 3 and out, tires the def which opens up everything for their offense.

Not really. He did well in the first game then the next two games, it took the offense until the second half to get warmed up. the forth game the offense stalled in the second half and the defense allowed the the Bengals to catch back up. This also describes the Eagles game were we barely pulled that on off. The giants again did the same thing. He looked shocked out there. No one has even mentioned that he really doesn't look for the deep pass since the second or third game. But in reality, all that matters if there is a W at the end of the day. He will be worth every penny if he can put up points and keep winning. I hope the defense can figure out how to stop being a chicken wire canoe. Every once in awhile they'll stop something or get a couple of picks to keep the offense from going into passing mode, but like the Giants game, flood gates are open and 400-500 yards by the other guys will keep the Bills from winning to many more.

I think the money could be better spent on Berrian. I know the guy has issues but he could help the deep pass if they could get him to work.

I agree. The agent and Fitz knew they had to get this done this week. I think Buffalo should beat Was this weekend, but after that we play the Jets twice and the Cowboys. Miami is always tough and who knows what Titans team shows up. If Fitz waits for the 7-9 or 8-8 season to finish and he throws a couple more game ending picks, his money pot drops.

Fitz and his agent had to get this done this week. If they can't beat the Redskins this weekend at home*, and with the upcoming schedule, Fitz may prove to be worth far less then they gave him.

I don't like the idea. The Bills are in need of a deep threat; however pull from what we have. The players have been stepping up since last year. If you bring in a Lloyd or Wanye in the middle of the season you are basically telling the team no one on the squad is good enough to step up. The way this team is designed, that would destroy the confidence of the team.

Good post. They did OK with the run compared to last year. I think the worry is the pass defense. They are getting killed in the secondary. Gailey needs to yell at LM.

If he was right on then there would be no question whether or not if he is a franchise QB. They and we knew his abilities prior to the season starting. He is smart and can be good at time but also can be bad. The Bills got beat down. The offense went up against a good defense this week. The last three weeks those defenses were nothing. Once the Bengals stopped the Bills on offense, they Bills defense again, just like every week, is giving up huge plays. Welker had 200+ yards receiving last week. The run stop has been good, but the passes are killing the defense. Dalton was just throwing it up to his receivers and they were going up and catching them. McKelvin looked lost against Green and no one could tackle. The defense backs are a mess. I like Wilson, Scott, McKelvin and Florence but they are getting burned week in and week out. The Philly game may be ugly.

The Bills would be lucky to get a 7th round pick for him. Look at the Evans trade. Spiller is no where near Evans, well besides he is playing and not in a boot.
