  1. 40M guaranteed for a player who may be average can bring down a whole franchise.
  2. Wilcotts is the best in he business IMO - always on point and does not take himself too seriously. Colinsworth is always patting himself on the back for saying smart things. Aikman tries to be professional and is just boring.
  3. Keeiping the game moving is just as important as being correct on the calls.
  4. I can't believe the Dutchman's single game passing record going on 70 years still stands in this pass happy era.
  5. I'd be happy with Detroit. Close enough to have fan support for a road game far enough to avoid serious complaints.
  6. Hoping for the miracle that all the street free agents suddenly "find it" simultaneously and the team is good by complete accident.
  7. This is true. The pats realize that with equal money offered any player would rather play for the pats than another team. That's where the value is. They face little competition for good players who are not good enough to be franchised.
  8. '92 v. The Rams. There was absolutely no suspense for weeks leading up to the game. The Players knew we were going to blow out the Rams. The fans Knew we were going to blow out the rams and the rams knew we were going to blow out the rams. The game was beautifully boring. We absolutely annihiliated the rams 40-7.
  9. He looked no better than a street free agent last year but looked like he was making a big push this offseason. There is supposedly a surplus of RBs on the market. Hopefully someone gets signed today so this all makes sense.
  10. Aren't we just going throw Wenning out there to do kneel downs for 4 quarters?
  11. It will interesting to see if he can create separation in real games consistently with no #1 and no deep threat on the team. If Tyrod doesn't see him wide open he's not getting thrown to.
  12. Roscoe belongs in his own category. It's always overlooked that he was one of the great punt returners in league history. Over 11 ypr. #5 all time since the merger.
  13. Terrence McGee. You would win the Super Bowl with 22 players as good as him.
  14. This actually makes me feel better. I thought we could have gotten at least a 7th if we kept him and tried to deal him when the OTs started to drop
  15. Now that would be doing the tanking the right way. Cutting more than the required number.
  16. The prior regime was just getting started in cleaning up the mess of the regime before that.
  17. Why is it every single time we clean house on the defensive side it has to come with a switch between a 3-4 and a 4-3. Stache 600-600 4-3, Pettine 3-4, Schwartz 4-3, Rex 3-4, McDermott 4-3. The talent erosion would not have been nearly this bad if they just limited the house leaning moves to the same general scheme.
  18. Give them 3 games. If they are not 2-1 throw peterman to the fire. The great thing is that we don't have to worry about bringing the guy along too fast. His draft position was too low for that to be a valid concern.
  19. I would say Tyrod but I don't think our coaches know how to use his talents. Roman and A Lynn were ground game gurus. I see fatal flaws with peterman - horrible under pressure and batted balls, weak arm. I see him as having a 5% chance of evolving into a franchise QB. 5% better than zero.
  20. Beginning to remember that this Offense achieved respectability only because of A Lynn. This looks like Greg Roman'a 3 and out Offense of last year.
  21. Why not wait to the trade deadline just to confirm we will suck this year. There may be many playoff teams with rb needs at that time looking to get over the top. This is not like watkins where we had to dump now to maximize trade value.
  22. I have to say it's absolutely stunning that Nate Hacket is the OC. As the QB coach for Bortles is in early years you would think some of the blame would fall on him. Instead he gets promoted.
  23. If he looks like he did the last preseason game you take a 3rd and run. I still think Tyrod has great hidden value if you accommodate your system to fit what he is good at. The way to build around Tyrod is trade away all your offensive skill positions and use that capital to stockpile the D. Get a few cheap unorthodox Wideouts like Stevie a few years ago who make up routes on then fly and turn Tyrod loose with making yards on broken plays. Tyrod can put up 20 pts a game with minimal turnovers no mattter who his skill position players are. Seattle was very successful with a loaded D and a very young russel Wilson who made yards to a large extent on broken plays. Wilson year 1-2 is comparable to the experienced Tyrod.
