  1. I'm glad this was brought up. How often do you see Tyrod mishandle the snap. Incredibly refined ball security.
  2. He was clearly a flyer. Trying to find a starter in the 5th on the cheap. Unfortunately the fatal flaws are already apparent. Next.
  3. The statistics show that the defense was being held together by one superiorly talented player who as many posters noted was occupying multiple blockers. At some point you need to have talent on the field.
  4. Yes, I knew we were bad when we had a THREE to zero turnover differential late in the 4th quarter against the Bengals, and also had a 75 yard kick return, and somehow were LOSING the football game. That performance was every bit as bad as the saints or jets games disguised by the turnover ratio and the kick return.
  5. The only way you get something for Tyrod is if it's possible to structure a trade where you are going to pick up a lot of the money - maybe agree to pick up his 2018 bonus as part of the trade. Then you can buy a draft pick via the trade. Similar to what Cleveland did with the Osweiller deal except here the team buying the pick would be unloading not receiving. No one is going to trade for Tyrod if it means paying him $16m. He's definitely worth $8-$10 and for that price someone would give up as high as a third or high second for a low range starting / highest echelon backup qb.
  6. The funny thing is that if peterman puts up numbers way better than manning's this whole board will be screaming for his head including me.
  7. Petermans fatal flaw is not his arm strength. It's panicking under pressure.
  8. Its not the deep rainbow ball people are concerned about it's the out pattern to the sideline. You need this throw and you need to take the pick 6 off the table when you throw it.
  9. From what I saw in preseason I give him 2 games. He has no counter to pressure.
  10. With the beat downs taken the last two weeks and Dareus and Benjamin trades looking dumb (Carolina back to super bowl O) I would say it's long past wearing thin.
  11. I don't think anyone realized how bad peterman is under pressure.
  12. Most of the time I think of Drew Brees as being a "lower tier" elite QB - not nearly the arm strength of a Rodgers or command of a Brady, not the physical presence of a Big Ben, inflated dome stats. Then when we have to play him once every four years I'm like Holy ****! How do we stop this guy.
  13. Mike and Mike is great schmaltz. What funny is that about a year ago Mike Greenberg announced he was leaving to do his own TV shown but nothing is happening. Mike and Mike keeps going on. I think he realized that radio is best place to be.
  14. QB pressure has been consistently waning and losing Dareus diminishes the rotation of fresh pass rushers. Not expecting much.
  15. If a team this flailing found a way to win it all 20 months ago we can take home the Lombardi this year.
  16. His first few years he would call out in the press certain players especially in the offensive line. Did not go over that well in the media, but teammates as a whole began to play better as soon as he told them they had to.
  17. Yeah we need a speed guy to take the top off the defense. Problem is the speed guys are all small and injury prone even if you reach into the first to get one. If you try to work in a speed guy with third round draft capital the situation is even worse. You are stuck with someone who is small, injury prone, has bad hands, is uncoachable and is a locker room nightmare.
  18. I think you are going to see some great things. This guy has the biggest catch radius in the league and Tyrod places it where only the receiver can catch it.
  19. Kind of disappointing Andre and Bruce were not interviewed. I'm sure they would have been happy to chime in about Jimbo. Pure laziness on the part of NFL Films. Used to be bout quality when the sabols were with us now it's all about the margins.
  20. I was about to start a thread called silver lining for the same reason but the thread was already started. Yes it's much more important for the team overall how Zay will play in 2018 and 19 than what happened on the scoreboard last night. He's getting open and becoming a reliable outlet and making the catches. He also has a remarkably injury resistant body to be able to get back on the field after what looked like a possible ACL which separates him from almost all our starting receivers of the recent past.
  21. It's a no brainer. We have all seen what's out there in terms of the tier of quarterbacks below TT: Glennon, Simeon, Hoyer, Fitz etc.
  22. I have been questioning whether I like this trade so much just because Benjamin has name recognition. Then I thought back to the Carolina game and yes he was killing us. I was like well he's a true 1 and that's the kind of play a true 1 makes so all you can do is try to slow him down.
