  1. Cribbs could have been in the Hall of Fame if he did not play in the USFL.
  2. This is their answer to the critics who say they are obsessed with measurables. Draft a guy with rotten measurables!
  3. Does RJ even know he's the all time NFL leader in sack per drop back percentage - an astonishing 14.8% rate - and that it's not even close for second place. They had to invent a whole new QBR after he single handedly exposed the sack flaw in the standard rating system.
  4. I have to agree with Lynch and the whole idea of "upgrading" Lynch with Spiller and spending a high first round pick to do it. When he was here I thought Lynch was a complete near generational back. All of the yards he was getting here were completely on his own. His negative yardage plays were minimal and he also had soft hands. Few RBs ran harder in the history of the league. He could elude tacklers and also run over people. He proved himself to be a hall of fame player after he departed. You could also throw in trading Jason Peters for a low first into the mix. He also went on to have a hall of fame career after his departure.
  5. I agree with the conspiracy theory. Russ has been great at selling tickets with an average at best team but the guaranteed sellouts always happen at the beginning of the years when people have money and the team is still alive for the playoffs. The games have always tough to sell in Buffalo around the Holidays even for the great 90s teams. The Houston miracle game was not a sellout. The league knows this and the schedule puts a lot of pressure on the organization to win to sell games with no option to tank and increase draft stock. To me it shows disrespect to the Pegulas who did a lot for the league when they purchased the franchise.
  6. Helps explain how our clean sweep all veteran free agent secondary was one of the best in the league last year. That is not supposed to happen. Also, Philly won the crown win a veteran free agent roster.
  7. I nearly came to blows with a Pats fan after the 2015 season. I advised the Pats fan that the Bills Pass rush in Foxboro in 2015 exposed their offensive line weaknesses creating a blueprint for the rest of the league culminating in the pats loss at Denver in the AFC championship.
  8. No matter how often his greatness is acknowledged on this board it is not enough. He brought us great joy for many years watching him dominant. With Watt heading for a short career another dimension of his greatness - durability - is highlighted. Thank you Bruce Smith.
  9. When you draft a starting cornerback and LT without any pick in the top 20 it's no less than an A
  10. I have a soft spot in the heart for Al Davis for what he did for the AFL and therefore the Bills.
  11. Browns with even a minor amount of competence would not let this happen. Just let Bills and Broncos bid for #4 and the rights to Mayfield, get three seconds from the Broncos or similar to move down one and then draft Barkley at #5.
  12. I loved that 30 for 30 like interview with Polian where he gave a whole new perspective on Kay Stevenson. Polian said Stevenson and the front office were in a position where they could trade all their picks for short term talent or else faithfully make all of the picks to properly rebuild the franchise and lose their jobs. Polian credited Stevenson for doing the right thing. Polian said Stevenson insisted that the draft selections be made.
  13. Yes. With the same roster Tyrod will win 1-2 more games a season. But having a McCarron will be better for transition to the franchise quartback, in terms of e.g. development of pass protection schemes and recruitment of receiver free agents who want to keep their career stats up.
  14. Amazing to think his career was over when they caught him redhanded with PEDs. Then it all blew over when he told everyone they were really his wife's and everyone stayed quiet after that and he was allowed to continue life as a legend.
  15. I chalked up his lack of production in Buffalo to the Bills' QB situation and found it interesting that he found it necessary to highlight his injury problems. He could easily just blamed the QB situation, no one would have questioned that, and may have gotten better free agency deal.
  16. Yeah throw tannehill in there and Landry and it it doesn't seem like the fish have any cap plan at all.
  17. Home in '87 v the Dolphins Jerry Butlers last game. First time the 90s team rolled an opponent. 92 at the dolphins Monday night. Epic performance by Bruce By all rights game should have wrapped up home field.
  18. The Eagles rebuilt their 52% free agent roster from the ground up in 2 years and are now holding the trophy. It's the new NFL. There are many paths to building a team.
  19. 3.8 ypa in 2016 down to 3.4 in 2017. The numbers don't lie for an aging back. Pass please.
  20. Siemian is living proof that you can do way worse than Tyrod at quarterback.
  21. A reasonable position to take. However, actually making the playoffs while not tanking was huge for the franchise and may have made the not tanking worth the effort. Removes a huge amount of pressure if and when the team actually becomes good.
  22. Correct. All signs are that he's completely unsalvageble. Cut and run away as fast as possible.
  23. I can't believe Schwartz is not hired yet. Brings the Bills D to 4th in the league and it all falls apart the second he's gone. Then he goes to Philly and brings the D from 30th to 4th in two years into the super bowl.
