Darnold to start Sunday for Jets
Charles Romes replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There would be a potential silver lining: lawrence out of the division for the next 15 years. -
Yeldon had a long garbage time run that padded his stats significantly

Please dress Yeldon
Charles Romes replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can see the point here of starting Yeldon. The larger point is that the position as whole is weak if people are clamoring for Yeldon. -
That should not have been overturned IMO. Not enough evidence to overturn. The ripping out commenced long before the knee hits and the ball comes out. If the rip started after the knee hits I may have understood the overturn. if we win that game the only talk would be how clutch the team was, and that it was great when it had to be. That’s the way it works.

JJ Watt Trade Block?

I can’t believe he’s made it to week 6 this season. -
Quinton Spain released; signs with Bengals PS
Charles Romes replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems to me Beane is trying to send a message that the shocking lack of running game against the soft zone is the OLs fault not the deficiencies and limitations of Singletary, previously acknowledged to be a brilliant draft pick by Beane. I think it’s a little hard for everyone (Beane, coaches, fans) to accept, after having such high hopes for Singletary, that he may just not have the goods. -
What is the worst loss a good Bills teams has had?
Charles Romes replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The ‘91 loss against Dick McPherson’s Patriots was pretty bad. Did not amount to much as we had cushion for home field. Pats ended up 6-10 so it’s not like they were historically bad. -
Allen’s weapons relative to Tenn/KC
Charles Romes replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don’t have a running back good enough to beat the zone. That has been proven the last 2 games, and really, the Raiders game also. -
So he’s good when there is no pressure. And, when there is maximum pressure, he’s also good. But he’s bad when there is significant but less than maximum pressure. That sounds ridiculous and yet supported by the evidence.

Are we still a 9-7 team?
Charles Romes replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My main concern is the shameless Tanking by the Jets for Lawrence. I don’t want to play him twice a year for 15 years. -
Zimmer needs to replace Oliver in starting lineup
Charles Romes replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Justin Zimmer was a UDFA if Buffalo in 2015, rexs first year. He’s spent time with 5 pro franchises, one of them Montreal. Yes he was better than Oliver tonight. -

Bills inactives for Chiefs game

Yeldon has the best night of anyone on the team last week. We actually looked competent in short yardage. -
Remember the JA to Wentz comparisons?
Charles Romes replied to DCofNC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The people who are holding out from anointing Josh are saying he could be just another Carson Wentz. -
Gameday around the NFL 10/18
Charles Romes replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not good for us that the Titans won again but I can’t say I’m feeling bad for the Texans’ implosion. When is JJ going to gracefully decline accepting egregious game checks for what he was worth 6 years ago. -
As an odd historical footnote he was one of a long line of Bills starters this century who found their way to the Raiders organization after finishing in Buffalo. Johnson, Losman, Edwards, Manuel, Peterman. Going back to the days of Lamonica both organizations have loved the big arm but that does not explain Edwards or Peterman.

Bojorquez top 5 in Yds/punt
Charles Romes replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bojo way outkicked the coverage to set up the long return against the titans. He totally outkicked the coverage again on the 70 yard punt, and was lucky there was not another long return. (Titans drove 90 for the TD anyway). His long kicks are just as bad as the ones he blasts out of the end zone from inside the 50. Both are over-kicks and show no trajectory control. We don’t need 70 yard long kicks. We need 52 yard long kicks that have to be fair caught. Guy has no touch. Only positive is that his leg has gotten a little stronger. -
He had plenty of chances in Buffalo and elsewhere. The bottom line is that he couldn’t see the field or sense pressure.

After a Big Bills Loss - Do You Avoid Internet/Media?
Charles Romes replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I log onto 2BD constantly after a big loss until the “no particular order” post appears so I have some perspective then the healing slowly begins.
