  1. Only positive is he’s not as bad as Vinatieri. Talk about sad
  2. What happened between the Pats game where the run D was dominant and now
  3. The greatest journeyman QB in league history with Norm Snead. The Football Life episode they make of him is going to be great.
  4. All of a Bills division rivalries are stale with the team’s 20 year streak of not winning 10 games, the dominance of the pats and sustained poor To mediocre play of Miami and the Jets. No better time to reshuffle than now but in no way would I want London. Lake Erie division would be fun. The league will not touch important rivalries. That’s why Dallas stays in the NFC east.
  5. Andy Reed pulls Matt Moore out of the dumpster to go 25-35–275-1-0? Maybe it is more Reed than Mahomes.
  6. I thought he was vastly underrated up and through to the time of his incredible super bowl triumph. I thought Ozzie hung him out to dry immediately after that, and then, sometime after, his skills diminished.
  7. The only thing bad about New Era is that they built the stadium East-West in a direction of the major lake wind. My understanding is that they wanted to build it North-South to blunt the wind but discovered a cemetery when building. The crazy lake wind has too much of an impact on some games, like last weekend.
  8. D yielded three straight TOUCHDOWN drives in the middle of the game under horrible weather conditions.
  9. Makes 3 out of 4 years he misses the season. Another thing that separates Bruce from others sometimes compared to him. His durability.
  10. Most of the great unis are 1960s designs or based thereon. The mad men days.
  11. It’s much harder to tank in the NFL than in other sports. There are so few games that are so prominently promoted that the losses are emotionally devastating to fan bases. You don’t see too many fan bases jumping on board an NFL tank as in the fan endorsed Sabres tank of 14-15. Players in the NFL are also more likely to protest a tank than in other sports, especially offensive skill position players who don’t want their stats to erode. Word has it that the Dolphins move to Fitz this year was per the mandate of the players. Finally, there is much less of a likelihood in the NFL of a player being the clear choice as the #1 overall, like a LeBron, McDavid, or Zion. There are only a few cases is NFL history where there was one possible pick for #1 overall. OJ, Elway, Luck, very few others.
  12. I would prefer to have the respect rain in at around 10:30pm February 2.
  13. We know Green is going and few teams are in a bidding war but it’s not going as crazy as the Bengals had hoped. He goes for a 3rd and 6th (2021) to the Bills on Thursday.
  14. After he makes All Pro, Beane can tell all the undervalued FAs he is pursuing next offseason: “We look at you the way we looked at John Brown.”
  15. Allen is steadily improving but the Pats made him look like Peterman.
  16. I love the way Allen is playing and the way Dabol is developing him. He’s emphasizing the short game which needs more development and which was pretty much non-existent before this year. His long game is there, it’s just not being worked on. When the short game becomes second nature, look out. It’s going to be awesome.
  17. I feel much more comfortable with Gore in there this year rather than McCoy. The North-South (Gore) v. East—West (Shady) factor.
  18. A classy win in IMO. Fall behind a little and as soon as things get a little dicey, one of your cornerstone players makes two enormous plays to seal the win. No apologies.
  19. Hyde not falling down to end the game cost his team about 50 cheap yards while exposing everyone to injury. They lost the #1 D crown last year by 20.
  20. Kroft is always hurt and was never able to take snaps away from Eifert in four years with the Bengals.
  21. Early in his career including when he was with the Bills Fitz developed his “ball coming out” game so he can function without an offensive line. This is the primary reason he has stayed in the league so long. He’s a great option for rebuilding teams that have terrible offensive lines.
  22. Sweeney has to sit because Kroft finally is well enough to get on the field. Would rather see more of Sweeney. My hope is that we showcase Kroft today and unload him next week, so our younger players who are at least as good don’t lose snaps.
  23. John Hannah at 30? Two away from Bruce. I cringe when the so called experts go way overboard in propping up a supposedly overlooked player that only they, the experts, understand the greatness of. It’s embarrassing. I’m bracing myself to see Aeneas Williams come in at #11.
  24. Fitz will make the game much harder for the Bills which is a good thing as long as they can squeak by with the W.
  25. “Expect to win” in the Chan Gailey sense or really expect to win?
