This is what they are saying in New England Land
Charles Romes replied to DefenseWins's topic in The Stadium Wall
correct. I remember not even taking him seriously even after the first Super Bowl win. We would constantly throw up ducks into the secondary from 2001-2003. He really worked on his lower body motion for more power on his throws. Aside from that it’s very strange that he seemed to always get stronger the older he got. -
You would think that every punter ought to be able to at least kick an extra point and be 50 percent from inside 35. You are kicking footballs every day…on a football field…The goal posts are right there.

He’s not in the stratosphere of josh Allen, but like a tannehill or cousins, he’s just good enough that you have to pay him. I love the fact that we will be always be better, for more than the next decade, than teams that have to pay this level of quarterback.

Should Davis start over Sanders going forward?
Charles Romes replied to Blainorama5's topic in The Stadium Wall
My sense is that Sanders was headed for a healthy scratch in this game and was offered the option to stay injured. -
Should Davis start over Sanders going forward?

The biggest thing is that Gabe gets better and better the more reps he gets during the game. -
Yesterday made me think they ought to have an emergency kicker in the stands every game like an emergency goalie in hockey.

Daboll a consideration for Jags HC
Charles Romes replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
Like most I have seen enough of Daboll and hope he goes unless a miracle happens and they get back to the final 4 (my current benchmark for a successful season). In the real world I think his jettison number is 8 wins. He’s safe at 10 wins and a one and done playoff appearance. He could possibly hang on as Bills OC with a 9-8 season no playoffs. -
Inside the 20 with a chance to win it two games in a row
Charles Romes replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not a penalty first because the refs tend to swallow the whistle when it’s essentially the last play. Second the defender’s head is swiveled to the ball (unlike the Wallace play). Defender is always permitted more leeway when that happens. -
I agree. We also played our best half of football of the year on the road against the Super Bowl champs and we certainly will need to win 3 straight on the road to get to LA. Going on the road can be a positive as it avoids a crazy wind game like we have seen which neutralizes our significant advantage at QB.

Week 14 Gameday Bills at Buccaneers Postgame thread
Charles Romes replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
And Beaze looked like Beaze again with sanders out. -
The league loves him and he’s getting Brady calls. I have no problem with that.

I wouldn't trade Allen for anyone in the league
Charles Romes replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Couldn’t run or stop the run in a 50mpw wind game. Yet, still had a chance to win because of Allen. The team seems to be waiting around doing nothing to see if he can win every game all by himself. -
Will help with the now unfortunately-overpaid CB1 position.

All-22 Grades for Bills/Dolphins (The Athletic)
Charles Romes replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Am I missing something. I thought the pass pro was really struggling in the first half. Josh had someone in his face instantly every play. -
He’s famous for one catch. As time has passed, we have all seen dozens of clips of all levels of receivers including high schoolers making the same catch. It was all the new gloves the receivers are wearing now.

Question about the Bass 57 yard FG....
Charles Romes replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Norwood’s 44 yarder to clinch the ‘91 AFC championship game against the Broncos, which felt at least as long as 64 yards. To this day I’m still shocked he actually managed to make that kick. -
10/17 Chiefs at Titans 1 pm EST on CBS

KC reminds me of the 2009 Patriots. A parody of its former self. -
Marcellus Wiley (Speak for yourself/music city)
Charles Romes replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall
This game created the strategy of running the clock down to 2 or 3 seconds. Before this game, the common wisdom was to preserve downs and time in the event of a bad snap. -
Having Josh Allen allows you to put up 30 points without max contract franchise Olinemen. You can’t pay for or have everything.

Beane right again

Is Baker dropping to #4 of the Class of '18?
Charles Romes replied to Huh? What?'s topic in The Stadium Wall
If anything Darnold is regressing back into the Jets version of himself. -
Thirded for organized crime. Great organizational D and lots of thievery, fits with bills mafia. Highly productive poster time by BB there.

What McBeane have done since 2017 nothing short of amazing.
Charles Romes replied to Batman1876's topic in The Stadium Wall
All GMs/managing coaches have visions. It has been shocking how many visions of McBeane have come to fruition with a cost sensitive strategy. I love how McBeane will adopt a multifaceted strategy to address a position which includes value free agents, draft picks, and mass competition.
