Burrows career sack percentage is 8.9 which is high even for a horrendous offensive line. He’s always going to be a tier behind Josh due to pocket sensing and mobility. Josh facilitates moderate Oline investment. A player like burrow will always need franchise tackles.

I really wanted to take a flier on metcalf in that draft as he was falling. Can you imagine the Freak to freak passing attack.

Rodgers will not go to Denver just because of Mahomes. He may pull a Farve and go to Minnesota who has weapons, or Giants if they can use their capital to get receivers.

With Watson you also have to sell the farm to invest in franchise tackles. He does not have elite pocket mobility and does not afford the luxury of reasonably priced tackles like Josh. Not worried about Watson.

I loved it the week after the Super Bowl. They should go back to that - it was helpful to the weaning off process. With all the talking heads in the business now they could easily turn the booth conversations during the unwatchable game into a Free Agency preview spectacular regarding the off-season goals of the various players and teams.

Madden’s Raiders in 1976 had a chance late in the season to retain the #1 seed and jettison the Steelers from playoffs. The two time defending champion Steelers were the hottest team in NFL history at the time, yielding a total of 28 points over 9 games. All Madden needed to do was lose to the Bengals and the Steelers would be gone. Instead Madden blew out the Bengals and then the Steelers in the AFC championship game. The point is, you play to win the game.

Interesting that three of those worst games were at Hymark stadium which is notoriously tough to throw in, even when the weather seems OK. In addition to the winds, there used to be a huge crown on the field as well but I think they softened it.
